5 Chapter 5

When Rome saw Ray, he felt so happy, he was so scared being locked up in the dark, the cold made his numb, he felt as if the darknes would suck him in, it was a horrifying experience to say in the least, when he looked at Ray's worried expression he tried to smile, to assure his friend that he was fine, or he will be fine, but couldn't, he lifted his hand to held onto to his friend and called out his name,"Ray~"

Rome barely had any energy left in his body, his knees gave in as he staggered and fell, he thought that he would fell on the floor but instead fell in Ray's arm, he liked the warmth the other was giving and smiled,"Thank God you are here....."

Ray was shocked to see Rome in such a condition. He didn't know what to do in such condition, so he did what came to his mind first, he sat down on his knees and took Rome's head on his lap, preventing Rome from falling and hurting himself,"Rome~ what happened here? No! Why are you here?"

Tears started streaming down from Rome's eyes, rolling over his cheeks, the disappearing soundlessly,"Ray I called for help so many times......" Hearing this tears also welled up in Ray's eyes,"I am sorry I didn't come for help sooner. Rome please hang on a little while."

Rome lifted his hand and wiped Ray's tears,"Don't be sorry~"

Now Ray realised that Rome's body was on fire. It was so Hot. It made Ray realise that Rome was running a high fever. Because of the fever, he was not even able to speak properly. He was just lying still in Ray's arm. Ray removed his jacket and covered Rome with it.

Rome smiled a bit,"Ray so sorry. I am too weak and always make you worried."

Ray shook his head, his heart hurt seeing his best friend in such a condition,"Rome you shouldn't be sorry. I should be the one to say sorry." Rome just closed his eyes, he was too exhausted to even move, Ray was now crying,"I am sorry Rome. Hang on a little bit I will take you out of here."

Suddenly the door was opened and the same middle aged man entered. He looked at Rome, a frown formed on his face, he asked,"What's wrong with this boy?"

Ray looked up,"Sir please help. He is running a high fever."

The man looked at Ray's expression and decided to save questions for later, he bent on his knees and lifted Rome up,"Let's go to my cabin."

The man walked quickly to his cabin, as they entered the cabin the man said,"Turn the lights on. The switches are behind the door." Ray immediately turned the lights on and the Man placed Rome gently on the small couch.

Ray sat on the ground next to Rome's face.

The man turned on the heater and sat down on the chair. He looked at Ray and asked,"Now tell me what happened. I want to know everything, this situation is serious,"

Ray looked at the man in the eye,"Frankly speaking Sir, I also don't know what happened to him. I was studying in the library, after some time he left for home, and when I went to the washroom I saw him there. I don't know why he was in the washroom instead of his home."

The man let out a sigh as he massaged his head,"Okay Okay. let's wait till he gets up and ask him."

After half an hour Rome woke up. Ray was sitting besides him putting wet cloth on his forehead to reduce his fever.

Ray looked at Rome with tearful eyes, relief washed over him, as he smiled despite the tears,"Rome you finally woke up."

Rome felt a throbbing pain in his head,"What happened?? Where am I?? Why are you crying Ray?"

Ray frowned,"Rome we are in the resting place for the school guards. And you know I should be the one asking the questions here. Why were you in the washroom all wet? I thought you went home."

Rome closed his eyes, took a deep breath as he tried to remember,"I-I....Ray you know when I went to washroom someone closed the door and poured water on me. I shouted for help so many times. I called your name. I even heard Lacy's voice I called out her name too but she didn't respond to me. After that my whole body went weak and fell to the ground and I don't remember anything after it."

Actually, Rome knew it was Lacy who did this to him to take her revenge but he didn't want to tell Ray about it because he didn't want to spoil their relationship. Even if he hated Lacy to guts still he loved Ray more than anything, and he wants Ray to be happy even if it's with her.

Ray hugged Rome,"Don't worry Rome I am here with you and I am so sorry for not coming when you called." Rome hugged him back, he slowly patted Ray's back. "It's ok I know it's not your fault."

Ray pulled away and cupped Rome's face,"Let's go home now." Rome smiled brightly,"Ray can you sleep in my room tonight. Can you cuddle with me??" He doesn't know what got into him when he asked for a cuddle, he just wanted to have Ray's warmth him for a little while longer.

Ray felt his heart pick it's pace up when he heard the word cuddle, he would love to sleep with Rome in his arm, he gave a soft, gentle smile as he agreed, "Sure let's cuddle tonight my sweet little baby."

Rome started blushing when Ray called him baby.

The man looked at the boys and smiled to his, Ah....youth is such a beautiful thing.

The man said,"Boys take care and Rome don't forget to take your medicine."

Ray and Rome looked at the man and said,"Thanks so much, sir for all you've done."

The man just smiled,"No need to thank me. It's my job after all."

Then Ray and Rome went home. Ray went to Rome's appartment and as promised they cuddled to sleep.
