4 Chapter 4

Rome and Ray were sitting in the library with lacy. Rome was tired from both writing and watching Ray and Lacy sitting arm in arm and with their hugs and kisses. In short with their lovey-dovey behaviour. He was having a hard time controlling his emotions.

Rome let out a yawn,"Ah!!!! So tired. Ray it's 6:30 pm right now, I am finished with writing, how about you?"

Ray cracked his knuckles, a wide grin on his face,"Yup I am almost finished. I have to write 4 more time. Can you wait for a while? Then we will go home together."

Rome nodded while Ray said to Lacy,"Sweetheart if you want, you can go home. You've been keeping me company for quite a while already, you must be tired." He smiled warmly.

Lacy pouted,"No I wanna stay with you. When you are finished you can walk me home."

Ray smiled as he tucked her hair behind her ear,"Of course I will walk you home, it's too dangerous for a girl to walk alone in evening."

Lacy smiled widely as Ray kissed her forehead. Rome's heart felt a piercing pain. He couldn't bare this sight anyone. He needed to get away from them, if not he may show his real feelings, which was something he really didn't want.

He got up with his bag,"Ray I am gonna go to washroom."

Ray said not even looking at Rome,"Yeah okay."

Rome went into the washroom, he stood infront of the sink, his hand cluctching his chest, he asked the question he had always been asking to himself, "Why do I have to fall in love with my bestfriend? Why him of all people?"

Rome sighed as he went into one of the cabinets to take care of his business.

Lacy was sitting with Ray and suddenly something clicked in her mind. She got up,"Ray I need to use the ladies restroom~" Ray smiled,"Yeah go ahead."

The school was now mostly empty as it is late in the evening. Only few students were there except the guards.

Lacy walked towards the restroom, she waited for the right time and when she saw no one was around, she entered the boy's restroom.

All the cabinets were empty except one, It wasn't hard for Lacy to add two and two and know that Rome was in that cabinet.

She quickly picked up the broom from the corner and placed it vertically infront of hand of the cabinet. In that way the door won't open. She then filled the bucket of water and went into the cabinet next to in which Rome was. She poured the water all over Rome.

Rome yelled as he tried to get out,"Hey! Who is it? Why is the door locked? Hey! Is anyone there? Help me, I am stuck here? Open the door! Anyone!"

Unfortunately no one was there except Lacy who giggled. Rome heard this and knew eventually that it was Lacy. He was getting annoyed and scared. He kept banging the door,"Hey help!!!

Lacy switched off the lights to the restroom and walked towards Library with a smile on her face. Rome can feel fear crawl in him as the whole washroom was filled with Darkness. He continued banging the door,"Anyone Help Me!" He hands were turning red, but he didn't care about that at the moment he needed to get out.

Ray saw Lacy and asked,"Lacy did you see Rome? It has been a while since he went."

Lacy shook her head as she sat besides Ray,"No I didn't. Also the lights of the restroom was turned off, maybe he went home?"

Ray frowned, worry starting take him over,"Is that so? But why didn't he tell me?"

Lacy acted as she was thinking,"Maybe he was tired and decided to go home?"

Ray sighed,"That may be the case. He has always been like this, shy and never speak his thoughts out."

Lacy clenched her teeth, she thought, 'Again with Rome.' She bent forward placed a kiss on Ray's lips,"Stop thinking about him, think about me." Ray sighed again. His heart was a mess 'Why am I feeling so uneasy.' He shook his head to drive these thoughts out and started kissing Lacy.

After a few minutes, the door to the library slowly opened and a middle aged man entered ,"Kids you should go home. The school will close in half an hour."

Ray nodded,"Okay we were going to go anyway."

Ray started stuffing all his books in the bag, he saw few of Rome's book and placed it in his bag too. 'He even forgot his books. Tsk... what's wrong with me? What's with these uneasy feelings?'

Ray held Lacy's hand,"Let's go lacy." Lacy hummed in a response as they walk out of the school building.

Ray heaved a heavy sigh once again, Lacy looked at him,"Is everything alright baby?"

Ray looked at Lacy and said,"Baby~ I am not feeling alright so I won't walk you home. I have called a cab for you" He was feeling the uneasiness getting worse, he felt that it would disappear as soon as he saw Rome.

Lacy hugged him,"It's alright." She was a disappointed a bit that Ray didn't walk her home but was also contended that she got her revenge and got to spend some alone time with him.

As Ray said earlier, he did call a cab. Lacy sat in the cab after they both shared a kiss.

After Lacy went away, Ray looked at the school building. He felt he was forgetting something so he decided to go check the library to ease his mind. He entrered the library and walked towards where he was sitting, he looked around for anything he missed or not.

After making sure he had everything, Ray walked out of the Library. One his way, he decided to wash his face to ease the weird feeling in his heart.

Ray switched on the lights off the restroom and went towards the sink. There he saw Rome's bag. His eyes widened.

"Why is Rome's bag here?" He was fairly shocked, he thought Rome went home so why?

Ray looked towards the cabinet that was blocked with the broom, he opened it to see Rome, shivering and all wet.

Ray exclaimed,"Rome!"
