3 Chapter 3

Rome and Ray went in the library and sat on the seat in the corner, near the window, they both removed their books and other stationery. Rome started writing the rules and Ray did the same.

They both continued writing in silience, only the sound on page turning and the pen scraping the paper was heard. After a while around half and hour or so, Rome felt that someone was staring at him and when he looked up it was Ray.

When their gaze met, Ray said suddenly,"Rome you are so cute you know."

Rome felt his heart skip a beat but he maintained a strict exterior, he was very well aware that Ray was now bored nad loooking for something else to pass his time, so he gave stern glare,"Ray don't slack off. We have to finish the rules by tomorrow."

Ray pouted, he knew this won't work on his hard working best friend, but he was at his limit,"But these are soooooo boring." Rome rolled his eyes,"Obviously~ Rules are never fun. Especially the Rules that are made in School."

Ray nodded in agreement before lifting up the rule book and reading it out loud,"Rule number 1- Students should come in proper school uniform.

Rule number 2- Students should greet every teacher they meet, respectfully. Rule number 3- During Break time, Students should get back to their class before the second bell rang, Rule number 3: Come to class after a preparing for the lecture, 4: Always be on time, 5: Do not cheat......"

Seeing Ray speaking loudly in the library, Rome panicked and quickly placed his hand on Ray's mouth,"Hush. This is library."

Ray struggled to get Rome's hand off of his mouth,"Why? What's the need? No one is here anyway. This library is deserted. Be honest do you really think someone would come to library? Who are you kidding, students would bunk and rather stay in washroom then come to library."

Rome viewed his surroundings and True, the whole library was empty. "Whatever. But now please continue to write the rules."

Ray was going to say okay but then he stopped and looked at Rome smirking,"Okay I will but first give me a kiss on the cheek or if you want you can kiss on my........" He gave a serious look, as if he actually wanted Rome to kiss him.

However This was too much for Rome as his cheeks turned red,"Shut up will you~"

To Ray the sight infront of him was highly amusing,"Oooooo Someone is blushing."

Rome retorted,"Blushing my ass!"

Ray chuckled,"Fine. Fine. I won't tease you anymore. And I will start writing rules after you give me a hug."

Rome sighed in defeat, He got up from his seat and went to give Ray a hug, he had to do this or Ray actually won't start writing, he gave a hugwhich ended quickly. Rome sat back on his seat,"Okay Done. Now you start writing."

Ray clicked his tongue,"It ended in a flash." Rome glared at Ray in all seriousness,"Ray....."

Ray heaved a heavy sigh,"Fine, Fine I am writing, stop nagging me okay?"

Finally they both went back to writing. However unknown to them, someone has seen all of this. It was Lacy.

Lacy was quite annoyed seeing Ray acting so close to Rome. He has never done these kind of things to her. They have kissed but Ray has never begged her for one. She was jealous. She was the type to be overpossessive over something that hers.

Lacy has always felt that Rome feels something more for Ray but she can't just point it out without any proof.

Lacy removed a mirror from her bag, checked if her makeup was alright or not, then placed a beautiful smile on her face as she walked towards the boys.

Lacy as usual ignored Rome and sat besides Ray,"Hi honey~"

After seeing Lacy, Ray grinned, it was mostly because he would get some time to slack off and partially because he was happy that Lacy was here, afterall she is his girlfriend,"Hi sweetie~"

Ray held Lacy's hand and kissed her cheeks. They both started behaving all lovey-dovey and Rome can feel his heart piercingas he watched them, who can endure someone they love, loving someone else?

Ray noticed Rome's sad eyes,"Hey Rome. Is everything alright?"

Rome looked up from his textbook,"Yeah I am okay. Just a bit tired. After all we are writing for 3 hours."

Ray clenched his fist,"I am gonna make that Miss Doris pay. She made my cutie pie tired."

Lacy frowned,"Ray you shouldn't talk like that. Rome is a man after all. He should know how to take care of himself and also others will start to misunderstand you guys if you keep protecting him."

Ray stared at Lacy in disbelief,"What do you mean by Misunderstanding? Rome is my best friend and it's natural that I should take care if him."

Lacy clenched her small fist under the table,"But still Ray....."

Ray glared at her, he didn't want to listen to her nonesense, to him rome was always the first, he won't let somone's thinking or not needed opinion come in between,"Lacy I will always protect him no matter what. And I don't want you to bad mouth him and I don't want to hear those absurd things coming from your mouth again."

Rome smiled, geniuenly happy that Ray was standing up for him, however he didn't want to trouble Ray at all,"Thankyou Ray for taking care of me so much. But Lacy is right, you shouldn't care this much about me." Ray caressed Rome's head, he smiled so warmly,"Silly you don't have to thank me. Also I will always protect you not that I need to but I want to. You are important to me."

Rome said with heartfelt sincerity,"You are important to me as well."

They both shared a look with sincerity in their eyes and a soft smile on their lips. To both of them, the other was really important, they would always care and protect each other.

Lacy on the other hand was angry, she thought, 'Because of you Rome, my Ray got angry at me. I will make you pay for this. I won't ever let you come between us.'
