16 Chapter 16

Tony and Rome went to the nearby cafe, they sat infront of each other, then ordered some coffee and cakes.

Tony took a bite of the cake and moaned,"Wow Rome this is amazing." Rome grinned,"Told ya right? Thsis cake is heaven! The first time I tried it I was in tears." Tony nodded,"Ya if you didn't tell me about it, I wouldn't have known, Thanks bud!" Rome smiled brightly,"My Pleasure bestie."

Tony and Rome were chatting and enjoying each other's company. But then suddenly Rome was yanked by his arm, Rome was startled,"What the----" Before he could continue Tony asked in confusion and in shock,"What the hell are you doing Ray?"

Now Rome knew the person who pulled him though he was confused,"Ray?!"

Ray let go of Rome's arm and said,"I didn't expect this from you guys!"

Rome was now even more confused,"What did we do?" Ray felt the rage burn in him, he almost yelled,"You guys have the nerve to ask." Tony stood up,"Ray what are you saying? We don't understand a thing." Ray gritted his teeth,"Really?"

Lacy who was standing behind Ray, started looking around and noticed the stares they were getting, she placed a hand on Ray's shoulder,"Darling we should go somewhere else. We shouldn't make a scene over here."

Ray turned around and realised that they were outside. He huffed,"Okay, let's go to my place."

With this Ray started walking away with his girlfriend, Rome and Tony shared a look of confusion. Tony placed enough money on the table for coffee and cakes, he didn't care if the money was too much or not and just followed Ray after Rome.

Ray still didn't know why he was angry, a while ago he and his girlfriend decided to get something to eat and decided to go the cafe, as they entered the cafe he saw Rome and Tony talking and laughing, the scene made his blood boil but why? Was it only because his friends were enjoying without him? Was it just because of that simple reason? So why did he want to pull Rome away from Tony? Ray couldn't answer any of these question.

Ray's thought was filled these question that he didn't even realise that he was already standing infront of his own house until Lacy asked him to open the door. Ray sighed and pushed the key into the lockhole, after a click sound he opened the door and entered, followed by his friends and girlfriend.

Now they were all sitting in Ray's living room, Rome and Tony opposite to Ray and Lacy. Silence filling the air, everyone just staring at each other, no one ready to speak anything, there was only occassional sounds of slurps heard if someone drank the water to ease their dry throats.

Rome finally couldn't take it anymore and asked,"Ray what's the matter?" Ray sighed feeling the energy drain out of his body,"How can you do this guys? Rome you went out with Tony all alone saying you had something to do. We made a plan to eat together but......"

Rome felt a stinging pain in his heart, Tony as usual noticed this and said,"Ray we really had something to do but Rome got hungry so we decided to grab something to eat."

Rome placed hand on Tony's knee,"Tony stop, we don't have to lie. How many times do we have to lie to him? let's just tell him."

Ray's heartbeat quickened, what lie? what were they going to tell him? a thought came to his mind, a thought he considered the worst deep in his heart, a thought he didn't want to entertain, a thought that maybe Tony and Rome were dating and keeping it a secret all the time. No that's not it, he didn't want to think about such thing.

Ray asked,"What lie?"

Tony tried to stop this,"Nothing we just....." Rome however had other plans, he interrupted,"We don't like you being you with Lacy!"

Ray was dumbfounded, and he successfully contained the sigh of relief. But what was he relieved about? He shouldn't be relieved, his friends didn't like him being with his girlfriend. He asked,"Why?"

Rome chose to tell half truth-half lie, after all he can't state the real reason, he just hoped that Ray bought the lie, and he also hoped that Lacy stopped glaing daggers at him and not do something to him after all of this, "Why you ask? Ray remember we made a plan to hang out today, only us three but you then invited Lacy without even asking us, and all the time you talked with her, making us do third wheeling, so tell me Ray are we in the wrong to give you two some time? The only reason we moved away was to give you some space, because even if we are infront of you, you clearly would ignore us."

Rome was now crying still he continued,"I know years ago I asked you to be with me, spend some time with me but that doesn't mean that you would be infront of me with your girlfriend. It's the same as you going away with her. Ray I know you love her and want to spend time with her so we were giving you just that."

Ray doesn't know what to say, he made his friend cry again, Tony pulled Rome into a hug, Rome hid his face in the crook of Tony's neck, Tony caressed his back, trying to calm him down.

Tony said in a stern voice,"Ray don't take it as an offence, I know you have bad temper but you can't raise your voice against Rome. I have been with Rome for merely a few years while you were with him for your whole life so I think you should know that Rome is sensitive. very sensitive he is not like any normal guy."

Ray mumbled,"I am sorry." Tony smiled at him,"It's okay." Rome peeked at Ray, still hiding in Tony's shoulder but his crying has ceased.

Ray tried to ignore the burning sensation in his heart, he doesn't know how or why these words left his mouth,"Rome can you stop hugging Tony and hug me instead?"

Rome and Tony were shocked but it was only for a second and then they started laughing, Rome said,"No I won't. I like hugging Tony, he is very nice. Tony can you let me hug you forever?" Tony just chuckled,"Okay"

Lacy who was quiet the whole time, who has been ignored the whole time, tried to sit on Ray's lap, however Ray pulled Rome away from Tony and on his lap, he whispered in his ears,"I will be sad if you keep hugging only Tony."

Rome hid his face in Ray's neck, and tried to hide his blushing face. Ray was joking, it was only a joke. Rome told his heart to not think too much of it. On the other hand, Ray said the words with all his heart.

Lacy saw the scene infront of her, and awkwardly sat down as she was half sitting and standing because she was going to sit on Ray's lap. She grittted her teeth and thought,"I am going to make this bastard pay. How dare he sit on my Ray's lap? That place is only mine. And because of him Ray ignored me throughout the whole time. He has to pay. He should know his place."
