1 Octavia

Hi my name is Cyndi and I'm an Octavian. On my planet Octavia every one here gets there powers when they turn 5. There are many different powers that people get. For example, shape shifting, reading minds, turning invisible, teleporting, flying, and some more pretty much just the usual stuff. But everything is different with me. I was different up until I was 18 after I had gone through some adventures. But we will get to everything that happened later. So my story starts out the night before my 5th birthday. I was talking to my older sister. We were predicting what my new power would be. Now my sister was already 8 and of course she already had her power. Her power was to power things with her mind. So I guess electricity to make it simple. But normally in a family the family has some powers that relate to each other some how. So me and my sister were thinking that maybe my power could be creating thunder, or maybe making really loud noises, or creating a thunder / lightning storm. We spent hours thinking about it discussing it, until I fell asleep. Morning came faster than I thought it would. So when I woke up we went to the place where they tell you what your power is. Oh I forgot to mention that there is a place that you go where they can find out what your power is. But when we went there, there was a really long line. So I guess Septmeber 23rd is a popular birthday. We were waiting in line for soooooo long but when we finally got up there (after about an hour) they told me that they couldn't find out what my power was. Me being a 5 year old I thought that he was just messing around so I started laughing. Then my parents told me that he wasn't joking and they couldn't figure what it was and that I had no power. I was in shock I just sat there speechless. We went home and I went straight to my room and started crying because I thought that there was something wrong with me and I couldn't be in this family. So I ran away, I packed my bags took some of my parents money (my parents were rich so they wouldn't have noticed that they had money missing even though I took about $100,000) grabbed some food and left. I did this all at night so no one would notice that I was leaving. After I left I went in and out through different hotels, earning money on the streets, getting food from others up until I was almost 8 years old. I had heard that my family was looking for me and never found me. But when I was almost 8 I was wandering around some place and this prince found me sleeping outside one time and asked me to come with him to his castle, and I did.
