7 Dream?

<*~Chapter 5~*>

Scott didn't get to sleep for as long as he had hoped, and his hopes meant for a very long time. Let's not get into that.

But while sleeping, Scott dreamt of some odd things, can you even consider them a dream?

.

.

.

"Hello Scott!" A cheery voice exclaims. Scott has no idea where it came from due to the pitch black room he was in.

But Scott doesn't know how to respond.

First of all, he thought it was creepy to hear voices in pitch black nothing-ness. Second, where the was he? And third, who is that creepy voice and why are they talking to him?

"You know I can hear your thoughts right? I'm Steve and there are more 'voices,' as you like to call us." The person named Steve says.

Scott stood still, "Uhm, hello?"

"Hi. I'm Bob." Another voice says, very void of emotion.

Right after the second voice spoke, someone barks, or maybe 'something.'

"Oh, that's Axel. He is a wolf." Steve says with a giggle. Why the giggle? Scott has no clue.

"O-Ok? Uhm, hello. But, why are there crazy people in my dream?" Scott asked, backing away mentally from what was in front of him.

"Oh! We're different versions of you!" Steve says excitedly.

"What..?" Scott asks confusedly, he squints his eyes and actually sees something inside of the darkness.

"Yes! You heard right, I am your demon side! Kind of.." Steve says excitedly, then drops his voice low hoping Scott wouldn't hear the last part. Of course he did, though.

"Kind of..? Why do I have different versions of myself?" Scott asks, raised eyebrows galore.

"Well, technically, every spiritual being has more than one version of themselves, kind of.." Steve says, again going quiet.

"Kind of? Wait, so Bob, I'm guessing he's my vampire side?" Scott said, getting sidetracked.

"Ok, I'll explain it all, I suppose.." Steve says with a sigh, "So, everyone has one soul that connects them to Ethereal, your world, and that is their inner essence. Then the outer essence is the soul that connects them to the spirit world and to their power."

Scott notices a lit up area, where the three other hims are playing with random things.

Scott peers at the first person, who seems like a Steve with.. a knife? Not creepy at all. Steve literally has horns that are black with specks of red. His eyes are blood red and wide with a crazy grin on his face but he basically looks like Scott, just creepier and scarier.

The second person, Bob, sits still staring at blood red pictures. Scott hopes it's not real blood. Bob is creepier than Steve, its like he has no emotion but he looks angry. Is that even how you would describe it? He also looks like Scott but has blue and red veins running along his face and his hair seems a shade darker.

And lastly, Axel the little wolf who is playing with his own tail. Axel is a very cute wolf, that is basically pure white with bright red eyes.

"Wha..?" Scott understood Steve's speech, he's known that since he was young. But the eerie way Bob and Steve stare at their belongings creep him out.

Steve sighs again, "anyways, since your parents were of different spirits, their children got a mixed share. I'm sure you know this too. Your dad, demon, and your mom being werewolf and vampire, here comes two baby werewolf vampires and one with a demon side. Yay, me."

"Soooo, you are a tribrid, you have 4 souls. We are basically the same person, kind of.." Steve says, trying to put it simply.

"Okay, but this doesn't explain how I'm here." Scott states with his arms crossed.

"You know, not everyone can be so in touch with their spiritual side, after all, we are from different worlds." Steve states proudly, showing Scott a cheesy grin.

"Really? Why can I speak to you guys?" Scott questions curiously.

"Well, usually it's from gaining a new level through training your essence." Steve states, "but, your case is very different."

"So," Scott starts, "is there more than one way to talk to you?"

Steve pauses, looking towards Bob who had put the picture down, then he looked at Axel who had stopped chasing his tail.

Scott stares at them all patiently, waiting for an explanation.

"Well," Steve starts, standing up to pace around the little space, "some people experience a huge change in their life or a traumatic experience. That can also trigger the souls to appear, but in a more abnormal and painful way."

"Are you saying that what happened with Lucas caused you guys to appear?" Scott asks in realization, he almost fell to the ground thinking of his best friend.

"It's more likely than not.." Steve says gazing at the ground. Scott holds his breathe and listens to his heartbeat, trying to calm down.

Everyone sits in silence for a moment, letting Scott control himself.

"Today.. At lunch," Scott begins clearing his throat, "do you think the umbra have anything to do with it?"

"We're considering the idea." Bob says, Scott was startled by his sudden speech.

"Do you think someone is controlling the shadows?" Scott asks quietly.

"Most likely." Steve replies.

"Is there a way to kill them?" Scott asks angrily, he wanted to avenge his friend and stop something from happening to someone else.

"Yes.. There is a very interesting way to kill umbra." Steve chuckles softly.

"Care to share this 'interesting way'?" Scott asks smirking, he didn't care how, he just wanted to remove them from the world.

"Are you sure you want to know? Technically umbra are from the spirit world but they are still living beings. The Demon King didn't even kill, he only imprisoned them." Steve says, although Scott knew his answer.

"Yes. I don't care if they are living beings, they definitely didn't." Scott fumes, his frustration showing.

"Alright," Steve smiles mischievously, "I'll explain everything."

After those words, Scott listens very intently to every piece of information given to him. Steve's lecture on how to kill shadows went smoothly and Scott practiced a few times once he woke up.

It was only a matter of time before he starts his long quest to get rid of the umbra.
