1 Chapter 1

I can hear the guard walking steady back and forth in front of my unit. Rhythmizing with the twirl of his baton. I heard another pair of footsteps coming towards the door. The guard unlocked the door.

A man with long black hair, brown eyes and wearing an expensive suit walked into the unit. I could tell he was new because he was confident in the way he walked in. Others would hesitate and stumble in here.

"I've never seen you before" I said

He looked at me with confusion.

"what your not gonna introduce yourself?" I spoke again

"I - I'm Stephen Stkogey I'll be your new head master" he answers

"well nice to meet you I'm Dawn"

I held out my hand. He looked at the guard then shook my hand.

"Dawn, walk with me while we go into the observatory unit"

I happily walked beside him. We walked down long empty halls with unoccupied units. The observatory is easy to remember from my unit. First you walk straight then turn right then a left then another left then a right and there you go the observatory unit.

The observatory room has a glass panel in the middle. One side is to speculate and the other is to show off. To enter the show off side you walk through the speculate side to a glass door. On the show off side there's an inner com.

"I want you to show me what you can do" he said

"I call upon the flames of red to engulf me with fiery and strength" I chanted

My body was covered in the red flame. I could feel Reds power flowing through my veins.

"continue" he said

"I call upon the flames of orange to shield me from danger"

He nodded

"I call upon the flames of yellow cover me with confidence"

With each color I call I can feel my body going weaker.

"I call upon the flames of green to grant me security"

I stopped for a moment to let the power inside of me rise.

"why did you stop?" he asked

"My body can't handle going through the colors"

"Well it's not what I want and I say keep going"

We stared at each other for a moment. Then I continued

"I call upon the flames of blue to let me see the truth"

"I call up the flames of indigo to balance out my mind"

"I call upon the flames of purple to guide me to the end"

Then I collapsed my body was exhausted from going through each color.

I woke up tied to a chair. I tried using my powers but nothing was happening. I heard footsteps coming in.

Stkogey

"there's no need to use your gift. I'm here to make you stronger."

"What did you do to me?!" I yelled

He just laughed

"I took it upon myself to keep your powers dull so I can do this"

He pulled out a needle with some blue liquid in the vile. Then he lounged at me and stabbed it in my neck. I could feel it going through my body. It burns like hell.

"Relax" he says

Then he walked out of the room.
