Epilogue:

〰 Six Months Later 〰

"Hey, baby, where did you put Ari's clothes?!" Levi calls out to me as I cleaned my body from our early lovemaking. I peeked out of the shower curtain and saw him glancing in the bathroom.

"It should be on the chair next to the desk," I said when he nodded and closed the door behind him. Today was Ari's first day to first grade and we both wanted to be there and support her.

We took her into our lives like she was our own child and even though I was rounding my late twenties, I wasn't sure if I was ready for the whole baby stage. I know Levi was because he talked about it non-stop.

He was excited to start a family and even though I wasn't scared anymore, there was this worry that my parents would come back from hell and cause pain.

"Stop thinking like that, baby!" Levi yells from the bedroom making me laugh and turn off the shower. I reached for the towel and wrapped it around me before leaving the bathroom and watching my mate scramble to get all of Ari's things.

He was throwing random things in her bag, a toothbrush ending up inside as I chuckled and walked over to her bag and removed things she didn't need.

"What are you doing? She needs that!" Levi screeches, snatching the dog toy from my hand before realizing what I was pulling out of her bag.

"She doesn't need pads or a computer mouse, babe," I assure him, setting the things on the desk and placing a hand on his cheek. "It'll be alright. Ari is a big girl and she's very smart. She doesn't need a toothpick for anything." I point out and shook my head in amusement.

My mate was too worrisome at times.

Which in fact was adorable.

"She may need that after she eats. And you never know, she could start her period." Levi says confidently making me bark out in laughter.

"Jesus, babe. Girls don't start their periods until they are like thirteen or fourteen. Ari's six right now so I think it's safe to assume that she is not going to start anytime soon. Also, Ari doesn't know how to use a toothpick. She'd probably end up attacking other kids with it." I comment as he laughed lightly and handed me the dog toy.

To be honest, I was truly curious about where the hell he got the dog toy since we didn't have any animal.

I'm sure I could torture the answer out of my mate.

"Mommy? Why are you in a towel? We're going to be late if you don't get dressed." Ari says in a loud voice, still not grasping that she didn't have to speak so loud but we were so used to it that it was normal to us.

I blushed furiously making Levi snap his fingers, an outfit raveled onto me as I frowned at him and tossed the towel on the bed.

Oh, he was going to get it now.

"Come on! I don't wanna be late!" Ari screams loudly, snatching her bag from the chair and bouncing out of the room. I grabbed Levi's collar before he could escape and pressed him against the wall with a mischevious glare.

"You're going to get it when we get back," I warn him, letting him go but brushing my palm over his pants and leaving the room with a sultry smile.

"Oh, baby. You are getting involved with the beast within." He informs me, grabbing my hips before I could escape the doorway. Levi leaned down and kissed my neck making me shiver and push him after seeing Ari staring at us.

"Not in front of her." I scold him, reaching down to grab her hand and walking down the hallway. Levi chuckled behind me, walking on Ari's other side and grabbing her other hand.

"If you remember, she did accidentally walk in on us once and s-"

"Shut up!" I snap, thankful that she couldn't hear our words as she patted my jacket. She was trying to understand our quick words but I wasn't going to let her know our conversation.

The memory of her walking in on us having sex made me shiver with pure disgust, hating that she had to see that.

Thankfully Levi just told her he was tickling me...

In a very pleasurable way.

I snapped out of the thoughts when Levi sent me a dirty thought causing my cheeks to flame up. My eyes snapped over to him as he simply smirked in victory and spoke with Ari in an excited tone.

Oh.

He's totally going to get it later.

"Bye, love bug! Have fun at school!" I wave to Ari as a few girls crowded her and tugged her into the school before she had a chance to say goodbye. Thankfully I taught her how to lip read well enough for her to understand her classmates. Good thing that Levi thought to alert the teachers in case they tried getting her attention.

I sniffed happily, unsure why I felt suddenly disconnected from our little girl that's grown so much these past few months. It felt like our little family could finally rest after everything happened with the assassins.

And with Khole and Dylan.

Apparently, those two are mated with one another but Dylan hates her entire being which angers me because he was only interested in looks rather than love. Recently he's been on my nerves and I pray that he will get better, for Khole's sake.

That poor girl has been through enough... Why'd she get stuck with an asshole like him?

"I feel the same way, baby. That jackass doesn't deserve, Khole." Levi agrees with me, an unsatisfied frown planted on his face when I wrapped my arms around him and smiled up at him.

"I'll talk to him later about it. But for now... We have some free time and I've been wanting you badly." I told him quietly, pressing a kiss on his mate mark making him tremble against me.

"My mate is insatiable. Let's go to our monster den." He taunts as I smirk and press my lips against his. Levi wrapped his arms around us before teleporting us to our bedroom and laying me down.

I remember our first time together and he was so nervous that I had to take control until he grew more confident. His stamina was longer than I expected but he still came before me and continued until I was thoroughly pleased.

Ever since he's been more of an animal than myself which was wonderful.

It gets me hot and bothered at the thought and thank god I've been on the pill for the last few months. We've been going at it like rabbits and every time we have sex, it just gets better and better.

But he didn't know about the pills...

He's been pointing out how surprised he's been that I haven't gotten pregnant and we talk about it all the time. I just don't know if I am ready yet to have children again.

We have Ari and she's already a handful.

I love her don't get me wrong, but I wished that I could just... get over this fear of mine.

"I have a question to ask you," Levi asks midway through our heated kiss and stood up, reaching into the nightstand. "You take these right? To prevent children?" He held my bottle of white pills as my face paled.

Shit...

I forgot he could read my thoughts...

"Levi. I can-"

"You have plenty of times. I can hear every one of those thoughts of yours." He reminds with a soft smile before removing one of the pills and holding it out to me. "But, baby. These aren't birth control pills. Well, they were until I tossed them out and put in some harmless pills that look the exact same." Levi confesses when everything within me twisted in horror.

"You what...?" I nearly screech while he placed the pill into the capsule and tossed it on the dresser.

"Baby. The other day you admitted to wanting children and that's when I found the birth control pills in the sock chore. I know you are afraid of having a child, but we have Ari so what's different between creating one and adopting one?" He asks me intelligently as I bite my lips and rubbed my stomach, remembering both times I was pregnant before.

Ari may have been adopted, but...

Something about having children just frightened me and I should be mad at Levi for doing such a thing to me. But...

I wasn't. The thought of having his child only made my heart warm and even if I was afraid of having children.

I wasn't afraid if Levi was going to be with me the whole time. I knew he'd always be there for me.

"Okay then. Impregnant me." I nod, feeling pumped as he snickered and leaned over my body.

"Must you be so formal?" He questions in a mocking tone, pressing a soft kiss to my shoulder when I shrugged.

"Would you rather me say, fuck me until I have your kid inside me?" I ask him, my words causing him to groan out loud and pull at my clothes.

"You are going to kill me." He murmurs against my skin while leaning away with a happy smile. "I love you." He says honestly when I wrapped my arms around his neck and tugged him down.

"I love you too. Now shut up and kiss me." I growl making him chuckle and obey my orders.

Finally, for once in my life... I felt happy and relaxed.

This was the best thing in the world.
