15 Meeting my dad, the King

Hmm, what will I tell him? Ah, maybe what happened during those times that we’re apart? Oh, no. no. no…Ahhhh! What I’m kind of nervous, what is he like? The king, I mean, but first of all, he is my dad so, yeah! Uhhhh!, Whatever, sleep Em, tomorrow is the day you’ll meet your dad, Em said to herself while lying in bed. Leopold was at the door when she finally decided to stop overthinking their father and daughter meet tomorrow at lunch.

Babe, why aren’t you asleep yet, Louis asked when Em opened the door for him as he laid down her bed and opened his arms to give her a hug. Em accepted and like a child who needed a cuddle hugged Louis back and tightly.

Well, I’m just worried about my first meeting with dad, it’s just so unreal after all these years. I thought I could never feel so excited about it, because I never met him since he died when I was still in mom’s tummy, Em reiterated too emotional to go further. It’ll be fine and I know he’ll love you just like I do. What is not to like about you? Louis said sweetly and kissed the tip of Em’s nose and went down to her lips. The kiss turned deep and Em gave way to Louis’ touch and invitation to make love to him.

They made love that night and it was the first time Em felt totally complete and never had any doubt on her mind she deserved all that she’s having now. Louis, the marriage, her mom and dad getting back together and meeting her dad the week before her wedding. Life can be a roller coaster ride. The universe has answered my prayers and the gods have been good to me and my family. I hope this will last forever.

Maxim called Victoria to set a lunch date with his daughter Em. Victoria was a bit embarrassed when she remembered their love making and naughty sexcapades at the villa’s flower bed garden. Her cheeks are so hot and red just talking to Maxim, and she seemed not able to concentrate, feeling his touch and kisses all over her. Ah..uh, Victoria, Toreyyy!...Hey are you still there? Maxim asked worried. Oh, yes, ah I’m still here, ahaha!, Ah okay I’ll set it up and she’ll be there at lunch. At where? She asked now, coming back to her senses. Oh ah, in the park near the villa. My parents and the twins loved going there to have fun and play around. I want her to see my favourite place when I was a little kid, Maxim added joyfully.

Okay, then, see yah, I mean, she’ll see you, and I’ll see you too, around!, Victoria said shyly and about to hang up… Wait Torey, ah, thanks for this and I owe you one. Well, thanks too for that beautiful night, I MISSED YOU. I never had so much fun and love before unless I’m with you. I…want us to have dinner sometime and I want to treat you to a fancy resto or fly you to somewhere nice and romantic.

I’d love that, I’m still your wife after all. Okay see you!, kisses, Victoria added giving him flying kisses. Maxim kissed her back and tried to catch the kisses she gave and put it next to his heart.

Maxim was waiting at the park sitting on the green grasses near the river. The playground is still there and well kept. He seated himself on the ground with his basket and all for a little picnic. He remembered those days when his family came here to have a picnic. He missed those times when his mom and dad still loved each other and still see happiness in each others eyes. My nephews loved to come here too when they were kids and I brought them here to play and to relax from all the hustle and bustle of the parliamentary affairs. Even though I wasn’t king I’m in charge of the executive and social/political affairs as the future heir in in case something happens to my brother, the king, But we help each other on all the affairs of the kingdom. I feel obligated to take responsibility even if it’s not my job to do so. I love our kingdom, our people and our country, Tunisia.

Sir, er, dad??? Em shouted walking to her father and she’s just about 20 feet away from him. Victoria drove Em to the park and is seen on the picture outside playing it cool, seated inside of the car.

Maria, E…Em!!!, Maxim turned his back to look at his daughter. And for the first time, though he’s nervous, seeing her baby girl who’s now a lady, melted his heart and all the pain, worries, and questions were washed away from his head and heart instantly.

Dad, Em called out crying with happy tears as she hugged Maxim when he stood up from the grassy ground and ran to meet her. Baby, Oh, my dearest Em, you’re so big and beautiful like your mom, Maxim said cupping his daughter’s face and wiping with his thumbs her tears. Since a big man of 6’5”, Em seemed to look as his little girl literally, with the height of 5’7”. The father and daughter hugs lasted for minutes and as if both didn’t want to let go. Em finally met her dad and it felt awesome. She thought he could be strict or hard on her but he is the opposite. Maxim, the future king, my dad is a wonderful person, Sweet, handsome and a big fluffy bear who I want to hug all day and night long if I could and stay this way forever, as long as he wants to. Even if he wants me to be his little girl, forever, I’ll oblige myself to stay that way always for him.

We had fun and ate what my dad cooked. Bacon, eggs, bologna with melted parmesan cheese. He opened white wine and brought fruit juices such as apple, grape and lemon flavours. I love spending times like these with my dad, and I hope this wouldn’t be the last time to have it with him. Mom came over to check up on me, obviously but dad pulled her arm to sit beside him and gave her food and a glass of wine. Wow, a perfect picture of a complete family on a nice picnic and get together in a beautiful and historical park. I am so happy now, I could die, kidding, hehe!.

Leopold is at the villa where Tessa with the house help cleaning it and making the necessary preparations for the upcoming wedding of the century of the Montfort Royal Family. Though the wedding is private, the reception will be public, were all the citizens of Tunisia as well as St. Paul’s Vill are all invited. Due to tight security, the couple will be presented through videos and the cinema like screen will stand as the monitor to let the citizens be part of the ceremony. Rodolfo and Tessa forgave the Montfort Clan and moved on to serve and die with the family if it calls for it in the future. Their loyalty remained and still is strong for the Crown.

ABC News, Tunisia Live, The Guardian, Time Magazine and etc. news teams from all over the world will be watching the much awaited event of the year. It’s been 20 years the Montfort Royal Family has been active in the limelight and been hiding in the shadows since the news about Lord Maxim’s ambush and death ended the Montfort Line. However, Princes Leopold and Leonardo have been pretty popular now that they have aged and Leonardo’s wild life escapades and support for the animals and some organizations for the poor like orphanages helped well in maintaining the peace and preservation of the Montfort’s Royal Line and the Cause. Leopold have been busy in the recent renovations of the Montfort Castle and the restoration of the Montfort Royal Family homes and Villas, plus political, social and agriculture aspects of the crown’s affairs. Lord Maxim as the successor of the Line, will be crowned King 3 months after Maria Po and Louis Leopold Montfort’s Wedding. It will never be the same again for the Royal Family. Their history went back way back from the years that the land had so much and had less when King Cronos died. But the Crown was uphold by King Cronan though he reigned just a few years, he made sure Tunisia had gold, power and control over the agricultural, scientific and political aspects of the country. Many countries including Polynesia, Japan, Canada and Australia, etc. supported and made a pact with us for the future of the world with healthy climate, abundant nature, clean waters and air, and secured citizens far from poverty and inequality. Lord Maxim on his press conference two weeks ago mentioned that he will continue to protect the land from terrorists and give his life for the people of Tunisia and the Crown. He promised that peace and abundance will remain and will never be stained by greed, selfishness and dark magic ever again. Victoria was watching the news in the car, Em fell asleep, maybe because of the long but happy day in the park. It’s almost six in the evening now. Maxim is the one driving the hummer since the rest of the family are sleepy and so full from the food Maxim prepared. Maxim can’t stop smiling while focusing on the road. They’re almost near the villa when an old lady appeared in front of the car. Maxim immediately hit the break but when he opened his eyes thinking he hit the lady or something, the person standing on the road as if disappeared. He wanted to step out of the car but he knew it would be dangerous and the window sills of the car is bullet proof, and he requested that beforehand when Em asked for a car for the trip to here. Maxim was alert and wise enough to continue the drive and prayed it is not the person he has seen in his dreams, Lady Beatrice, his mom who have been haunting him ever since. She is still alive and about 120 years old now. But because of dark magic she still looked young as young as Em if she wanted to, so no one will suspect it is she and just an ordinary girl from the country. Dad, if you can hear me please protect my family and me to be able to continue my fight against darkness and uphold the Crown to maintain the peace and Good in the land.

The shadow of a woman appeared on top of the hill near the Villa. The public park is just below this hill. Lady Beatrice is indeed alive. She has been everywhere, in the park as the park sweeper, in the castle as one of the guards, in the villa as the milk man who delivers fresh milk, cheese and poultry to Em and Victoria, in the streets of St. Paul Vill as a little girl who sells matches, in Polynesia as one of the merchants who sold a valuable stone to Em’s granddad Gisel’s husband, which made it possible for her to make money and all, and in many places all throughout the land. Lady Beatrice is everywhere, but she tend to just wither away when someone notices her presence. It is the curse she accepted for the protection of his son and grandchildren. All knew she was evil, but the truth is King Cronos was beating her and she was always been cruelly hurt by the King. Why she fell in love with Cronan. Cronos wasn’t killed when he some terrorists attacked him because of his wrong doings. He escaped and plotted to kill Cronan since he will be crowned king because he was already gone during those times. That’s why King Cronan only reigned for 3 years is because he killed him on his sleep. Lady Beatrice saw everything for she just got out of bed to drink water and when she came back she saw Cronos running out of their room and out of the castle. She tried to run after him and do magic to stop him but she wanted to save Cronan, yet it was too late. Cronan whom mother loved died in her arms and she couldn’t bear it, and killed herself in the end. Tessa and Rodolfo took care of me since I was in my twenties, married Victoria and had Em after. But since I was about to be crowned as king since Leopold and Leonardo were still very young, I assumed the position as king. But was ambushed after a year of my reign as king. I didn’t know Victoria was pregnant but I did what I did to protect the crown, my family and my people. I asked for allied countries to help me out on this and they never failed to support me in everything I did. So now I made a comeback and I know mom, dad and the rest of my ancestors believe in me and I will make things good and bright again. How I wish I can help mom and I hope I can eas her pain as she roam around the globe to find answers and be healed from whatever she inflicted upon her self. May the gods bless you mom.

Hey, why’d you stop? What’s wrong? Victoria asked Maxim who is a bit pale and just staring at the wheel, the car parked in front of the villa gates. Ah, I think I saw mom, I can’t believe my eyes but she just stood there on the street and …I don’t know I froze and stopped the car but she suddenly disappeared. I really wanted to talk to her, even for one last time, to say I love her and I’m sorry I wasn’t big enough then to protect and help her from dad…Maxim said now crying like a baby. Victoria is caressing his arm and hugged him as he cried hard because of the bad memories he experienced with his dad before. He thought he has healed from all this but nightmare his family experienced from the previous king was a lot more to take in than forgetting. It’s alright, honey, I’m here. We’re good and we’ll make things work. We will make a difference and we will make the changes for the sake of our peoples and our family, okay! Victoria added, smiling and reassuring Maxim of the good things that can happen now that he is to become king.

Yes, you are right. We will, Maxim said with conviction. He is now carrying Em to her room. Victoria is following them behind up the stairs. Tessa lit the light on the staircase. Goodnight Tessa, I’m sorry we woke you up, Victoria apologised.. No it’s okay, I am still listening on my radio. That Diane F…whatever her last name is, seems to sugar coat everything about the Royal Family, hmm, I hope it stays that way. Okay, goodnight dearie, Tessa replied sweetly. Ah, hmm, she’s okay, Victoria agreeing.

Hey, dad, put me down, I’m not a kid anymore, Em said when she woke up still on her dad’s big arms. Haha! My darling, I have missed this things and I will do it again and again until I grow old, hehe! Maxim added and put her down the bed and tickled her. Ha ha ha ha, dad stop, mommmm!, Em shouted to Victoria who just laughed and ignored them both.

Leopold heard of the family having fun. He was listening while tears are falling down his eyes, remembering the times his family was still alive and they were all enjoying each other’s company. I am supposed to be king. But why is it that Uncle Max is the heir all of a sudden. I need to calm down and think. Dad was the king before but when he died, Grand dad Cronan was the successor, then Uncle Max came so he is the successor after King Cronan. Okay, then who is our dad? It seems that Uncle Max stood as our dad, but do they still have a brother? I need to ask him about that soon. Leopold said in his thoughts and fell asleep on it.

Prince Alexander was banished from the kingdom. He was the strongest, prettiest and romantic of all the sons of the Royal Family. Alexander was born a warrior, he was the one who fought on almost all of the battles of the land, from the wars against Russia to the battle against Europe and Asia. He fought with gladness and pride of his kingdom. But he fell for a commoner, a slave girl from Asia, and had twins with her. Felicia is a fearsome girl who was accidentaly sold as a slave when she was oout to buy groceries for her family. She was kidnaped and secretly sold to become a slave for the nobles and royal families. When Alexander conquered some parts of Asia including Polynesia and Syria. He was dumb struck by the girl who fought her heart out against one of his soldier who tried to rape her. Alexander came to her rescue but she hated him and his country because of what happened to her. Yet he made sure she was properly taken cared of and didn’t want to live the royal barracks just to keep her there and be happy with her. Felicia didn’t know she already fell for the romantic prince. Yet when Prince Alexander was summoned to go back in the castle, he refused so he could stay with Felicia and lve with her and their twins. Maxim made sure his brother with his family are safe so he wrote a contract that the twins will be living in the castle when they reach the age of 13 years. Felicia and Alex lived happily as commoners in the farm lands of Polynesia. Gisel and her family lived near them before until Victoria and Em needed to come back to Tunisia and live here for the time being.

The Montfort royal family had many secrets. Maxim wanted to end the secrecy and expose everything in the light. But when he realized it doesn’t matter anyway since it’s already past. He wanted to make a new start by changing rules and laws that aren’t effective nowadays. He will give some portion of the royal family’s gold to help the poor families of the kingdom. Give donations to orphanages and hospitals of the land. He want to make sure that Montfort will be proud and loved again.

In a week, Em and Leopold will be wed. What will happen to the much awaited ceremony. Maxim will be crowned king of Tunisia. Will he be stopped by terrorists groups that hated the Montfort Royal Family , more over the crown?
