Killing the Panther & Angela's Magic

Gripping the hoe with his only hand, Axxel kept his distance for 5 seconds before lunging at the shadow panther. Since his agility was higher than the panther, although the panther dodged, the hoe still managed to graze it's side.

"Come on now, put up more of a fi-, before Axxel could finish his sentence, the panther pounced on him. He was just barely saved by using the hoe to push it's claws back.

"T-Those claws are REALLY sharp," he said while sweating and shivering a little because of its aura. Still not taking the fight seriously, Axxel grunted due to the panthers strength, then pushed it off of him. The panther got back on its feet before Axxel and punced on him again. Because Axxel forgot he was fighting with a monster, he didn't expect the panther to pounce on him again.

This time he wasn't fast enough to in blocked the panthers attack. Before he could even get back up, he felt extremely sharp fangs dig into his bandaged shoulder.

"Aargh!" he screamed as that shoulder was already injured. But the panther biting into it finally brought him back to his senses. He thought just because he had some mysterious system, nothing could hurt him. Boy was he wrong. Blood gushed out quickly, and the panther still had it's fangs in his shoulder.

"GET THE F**K OFF ME!" he shouted as he hit the panther in the head with the hoe, although it was difficult. The panther fell back on the groud and growled, although it was signifigantly quieter. Axxel didn't hesitate as he quickly smashed the panther in the head with the hoe. It whimpered before it stopped moving completely. Axxel sat down next to the panther making sure it didn't move, but shortly after, he threw up next to the corpse.

*Blergh* The adrenaline unfortunately wore off, making him throw up. His hands were shaking as he stared at the body. But he quickly regained his composure.

"It was kill or be killed no hard feelings, well.. actually there were some hard feelings," he said while staring at the body. His shoulder was still bleeding, but not as mush as before. While staring at his shoulder he heard 2 sets of feet. He looked to his right and saw Angela and what looked to be her uncle running towards him. Her uncle was partially fit, and looked healthy for whatever his age was. He was also wearing metal shoulder pads, which were probably steel, and a leather chest pad. He also had a steel sword on his left leg. It looked beaten up. While Angela carried a bag.

"Hey! Are you alright?!" Angela's uncle yelled to Axxel while they both ran towards him disregarding the dead panther. The uncle staring at the bandages his eyes widening.

"What happened, you didn't get attacked by a s-

"D-Did you do this Axxel?" Angela said while with a shaky voice while staring at him with wide eyes. Her uncle looked back to see a dead shadow panther with a wound in its head. He looked to his right and saw a bloodied hoe. He picked it up and looked back at his neice and then Axxel. Anybody could tell he was utterly shocked.

"U-Uncle, your jaw!" Angela said while staring at her uncle while you could see she was a little embarrased.

Axxel tried to laugh, but the pain in his shoulder stopped him in his tracks.

*Cough* Axxel coughed up a little blood.

"Ah, we have to rewrap his shoulder. All the previous bandages were either torn off of soaked in blood!" Angela said while quickly grabbing some bandages out of the bag she had with her.

"This is gonna hurt, so bear with me Axxel," she said. Before he could even reply she wrapped the bandages around his bleeding shoulder as tight as possible.

"Argh! That hurts, loosen the bandages please!" Axxel pleaded while squirming.

"Sit still!" she exclaimed while still wrapping the bandages. After she finished wrapping them, she tied it and then held out her hands. She closed her eyes and then it seemed like she was concentrating on something.

Axel was curious but before he asked his question, Angela's uncle gestured to him to keep quiet. Since Axxel wasn't an idiot he just quietly observed Angela. While staring at her, suddenly felt a warm arm around his shoulder, surprised, he looked down to see a green light emenating from Angela's hands.

'This is...!' Before Axxel could finish his thought.

"Healing magic" Angela said while dusting of her legs. Axxel was shocked. Even though she said her uncle had light magic, he really didn't believe it. But boy did he get proven wrong. He was extremely interested.

"H-Hey do you think I can learn magic," he asked Angela while pointing at himself. "Anyone can learn magic, but not everyone can use it. Now let's go help the others," she said before running towards the houses.

Axxel jogged behind Angela and her uncle. 'I wonder if I can really use magic' he said with a big grin on his face. He was about to say something really stupid, when Angela looked back and noticed he was slowly being left behind.

"Hey, run faster!" she said. Angela really wasn't the cute anime girl type she looked like. Axxel flinched noticing he was trailing behind. "Sorry, I was thinking about something," he said while scratching the back of his head.

While running around the village and looking for any lost children or elderly people, Axxel's thoughts were having field day in his mind. Like, 'If there are houses, then why was I in a hut?', 'Why are we running around the village instead of checking inside the homes?' Axxel thought before being quickly interrupted. He heard and saw a 5 year old boy bawling his eyes out under a tree. They all quickly ran towards him trying to get him to stop crying and telling him they would protect him. And after they returned the boy to his mother, a blue screen appeared in front if him saying..

Without hesitating, Axxel quickly tapped 'Y' on the blue window in front of him. Axxel suddenly felt power rushing into his body. He then said, 'Status' in his head, and then a blue window popped up.
