"L-Little Horsey?"

Huan Mingyun stuttered as she stared at the black horse that was still nibbling on her sleeves when suddenly she snapped and quickly took back her sleeves from the horse's mouth and found out that her sleeves were almost chewed to the inside, her sleeves were drenched with horse saliva.

"Xiao Ma!"

A deep masculine voice sounded behind Huan Mingyun that made her look back, she almost screamed from fright when she saw how close the scary mask was from her face.

Her soul almost left her body when she realized that it was only a mask.

"I thought it was a ghost." Huan Mingyun sighed deeply as she pat her chest.

Huan Mingyun looked closely at the scary mask, it was indeed a scary mask worn by a human, its not a ghost!

"I sincerely apologize for scaring this young lady because of Xiao Ma's action, I deeply apologize." The masked man cupped his fist and bowed showing his sincerity.

Huan Mingyun's mouth twitched as she looked at the masked man and almost rolled her eyes heavenward if only the masked man was not in front of her.

'Bro, more than your horse scaring me, you almost sent me to heaven just by showing up behind me with that mask of yours. I really thought that I saw a ghost when I saw you behind me, my soul almost escaped my body!'

"Its fine, no need to apologize."

Huan Mingyun waved her hand in front of her, the masked man stood up straight when Huan Mingyun told him to.

"Instead of apologizing, what I am more curious about is why Sir's horse suddenly attacked me and even chewed on my sleeves. Now, my sleeves are drenched and tattered." Huan Mingyun helplessly raised her sleeves for the masked man to look at.

The man in mask felt guilty seeing the innocent lady who was wronged by his horse but he was also helpless on this matter.

"This... I also don't have an answer to this matter, I hope young lady would accept this one's apology. I sincerely apologize on behalf of Xiao Ma." The masked man once again apologizes.

"Its fine, its fine really."

Huan Mingyun shrugged and no longer pursued the matter.

"Sir, you really have a fine horse. Can I touch it?"

Huan Mingyun had never seen such a fine horse before, just looking at it you would be able to see that its a high breed horse that put all those modern horses to shame.

Huan Mingyun was itching to pet the horse but she must restrain her hand because the owner was in front of her, she looked at the masked man with starry eyes that say "say yes" as she awaits his answer.

"Of course."

Seeing the look in Huan Mingyun's eyes the masked man could not have the heart to say no to her.

"But be careful, Xiao Ma..."

Before he could say "hates strangers" Huan Mingyun had already petted the horse.

"Little Horsey oh little horsey, just like your name Xiao Ma, your really a little horsey Xiao Ma."

Huan Mingyun rubbed Xiao Ma's head to his nose gently as she savored the moment of petting Xiao Ma.

The masked man was stunned, it was such a surprise to see that Xiao Ma let Huan Mingyun pet him.

Usually, Xiao Ma hates being touched by strangers and would even still bite his 5th brother when he touches Xiao Ma. The only one that Xiao Ma won't bite is him and now the little one in front of him that was happily petting Xiao Ma.

"Ah!"

The masked man came to his senses when he heard Huan Mingyun yelp. He quickly grabbed Xiao Ma, preventing him from chewing on more of Huan Mingyun's sleeves.

"Xiao Ma, behave." The masked man ordered.

Xiao Ma the horse huffed and felt aggrieved when the masked man pulled him away from Huan Mingyun, Xiao Ma looked at Huan Mingyun with eyes full of longing.

If Xiao Ma is only human then the look in his eyes would be mistaken as love but unfortunately he is a horse.

"Miss, are you alright?"

The masked man was a little worried looking at Huan Mingyun's sleeves which were torn in half by Xiao Ma, earlier it was only tattered but now it was torn!

"I'm fine, don't worry. Xiao Ma you little horsey, why did you tore my sleeves?" Huan Mingyun reprimanded Xiao Ma harshly yet her tone and actions were still gentle with a tint of indulgence.

Xiao Ma who was being reprimanded acted pitifully as he rubbed his snout on Huan Mingyun's torn sleeves quite pitifully asking for forgiveness.

Huan Mingyun together with the masked man did not know whether to laugh or cry seeing such a shameless horse, when suddenly after a little rubbing in Huan Mingyun's sleeves a red round thing fell from her sleeves that was quickly snatched by Xiao Ma with its mouth which he ate.

"...."

Seeing this, the two humans' faces turned black before Huan Mingyun broke into laughter.

"Xiao Ma, so this is what you're after. You came to steal my apple, good!"

Huan Mingyun laughed as she helplessly pat the apple thief. That apple was supposed to be her lunch but with Xiao Ma stealing it she no longer have food to eat.

"Xiao Ma."

Seeing Xiao Ma eating the apple that rolled out from Huan Mingyun's sleeves, the masked man felt ashamed on behalf of his horse.

"Miss, I apologize in Xiao Ma's stead. Please forg--"

"Nah. Its fine, the little one can have it and also stop apologizing over and over again." Huan Mingyun simply said.

"But even so...."

"Just forget it, right, we have been talking for so long yet I still don't know your name. By the way my name is... Mingyun, call me Mingyun."

Huan Mingyun was glad that she was able to stop herself from mentioning her family name and only gave him her given name.

Since she is a princess of Zhou, she must be careful and must not let her identity be exposed or else calamity might befall upon her.

The masked man was quiet for a minute and looked at Huan Mingyun, he was weighing things as he thought of her, she might be a friend or a foe.

Meeting her here might be a coincidence or not, it might be a well planned trap by his enemies or maybe it was really just a pure coincidence but even so he decided to see what happens next and just decide what to do with her if that time really comes.

"Su, call me Su." The masked man replied after considering.

"Su? Then from now on I'll call you Xiao Su and you can call me Xiao Yun. Let's be friends!" Huan Mingyun beamed, finally she found her first friend in this unknown world.
