20 The Time Stops And The World Become Bleak
On July 31, 2019, at 11:00pm GMT+8 in China, the world was in chaos and human selfishness was starting to show. Many people had heard the news and were now trying their best to evacuate to a place where they felt safe.
Normally, the streets would be quiet by this time with only a few people walking on the sidewalks, but now the streets were full of cars. Everyone was arguing and it was super busy, with non-stop car horns blaring and no one willing to give way. All of them had the same thought - "We need to evacuate to a safer place." But where could they find such a place?
"Can you contact your daughter?" A middle-aged woman was walking back and forth, asking the man in his forties who was sitting on a big sofa while repeatedly pressing the call icon on his phone.
"I can't. She's out of coverage," the man weakly replied, leaning back on the sofa.
"Why is she out of reach at a time like this? The world is in chaos right now and it could end at any moment, but where is she?!" This woman was Su Mei's mother. Her skin was well-maintained and if her daughter were with her, one would mistake them for twins. Her face was full of worry and a scowl.
"Early this afternoon, I asked her colleague if she was still on duty, but they said that she had left early. Even their director was looking for her. So no one at the hospital knows where she went, but I received a call from Dr. Gao that she might have gone with the last patient she operated on," the man explained while grabbing the trembling hand of the woman.
"Where could they possibly have gone? At the very least, if the world were to come to an end, we should be together," Su Jie said to her husband.
"All we can do right now is pray, pray that she is in a safe place."

Dark clouds crowded the sky, and the sun disappeared all of a sudden.
The earth trembled, and the tectonic plates started to move.
Heavy rain poured from the sky, and houses and establishments were burning.
An earthquake was coming, and a dark mist was corroding the atmosphere.
After one minute, the entire earth was fluctuating.
Everyone on earth suddenly heard an unexpected mechanical voice, and everyone was startled.
