2 Natural Disaster(2)
As the trio chatted and laughed on their way home, they were unaware of the unexpected event unfolding at the Catalina Sky Survey in Tucson, Arizona.
Eric Christensen, the director of CSS, was in charge and the first to discover that the asteroid Ben-nu was rapidly approaching Earth. CSS was our first line of defense against meteorites and asteroids, and while the observatory was often quiet, the phone was now ringing non-stop.

"Hello, my fellow humans. I would like to inform you all that we might vanish in history at any moment right now. We are facing a huge threat from above. On July 29, 2019, around 8 pm in Tucson, Arizona, the Catalina Sky Survey observatory discovered that the Ben-nu asteroid, lying 20 million miles away from Earth, suddenly changed its trajectory towards us. It travels at a speed of 30,000 miles per hour, and according to the data we gathered, it will reach Earth in 27.8 days. I hope that all of us here in this conference can put aside our disagreements and work together to avoid this imminent and disastrous event in human history," the USA President began to shake and bow.
"What?! Everyone in their respective country offices began to panic after hearing the news. But someone remained calm after hearing it, especially China.
"Are you sure about that news and data you gathered? Are you not trying to fool us?" Mr. China asked.
After everyone heard the opposing country, they began to calm down and muttered to themselves, "Yes. If it's not true, he might just be trying to make us look like fools and eventually invade our respective countries. Or, he might just be trying to make the world panic."
"No, I'm telling the truth. You can ask your own observatory and locate this place. You will see a tiny dot blinking towards us here on Earth," the USA President replied.

After 5 hours, they began the second closed-door world conference.

"Should we inform the world about this?" someone asked.
Everyone looked at the person who spoke, as if they were looking at an idiot.

"I agree," Mr. China added.
One by one, the leaders agreed to hide the truth from the public, including the Holy See, to avoid public panic. A total of 194 countries agreed to keep it secret.
As countries around the world made their secret actions, some notorious groups became suspicious and inquired about what was happening.
However, no secret can remain hidden forever in this world. Silently and patiently, it waits in the dark, letting people build their lives, carefully stacking the bricks one by one. Then it appears, dealing its blow and everything crumbles. It remains intact and incorruptible in time, waiting for its ultimate destiny to be revealed.
