28 Chapter 27: Mount Krinshing

I saw Jazlyn go down to the floor, it was like everything was in slow motion but Shawn caught her instantly before she even touched the floor. Shawn might be an ass to everybody but he definitely likes Jazlyn, I can see it and I am sure he too knows.

"What happened to her?" I asked Shawn as I neared them.

"I can't explain. We were just standing here and I heard the sound of an arrow flying through the air and it pierced through her leg." He whispered, slightly cradling an unconscious Jazlyn in his arms. He looked at Jazlyn with an unreadable expression I could not even explain. 'does he love her?' I really asked myself.

If he really did, why was he being a coward and a jerk, why didn't he just accept it. I need to do something to prove if he really loves her or just he's just using her, I don't want my friend to end up with a broken heart, because I know Shawn very much, my dad and his dad were very close before mine died.

"Shawn-" Jazlyn moved, swaying as she tried to sit.

"What happened?" She asked confused.

"You passed out." I replied on his behalf. He was just giving her an unreadable expression. He is one difficult man to figure out.

"No, I didn't, I heard you guys calling my name." Jazlyn looked at us like we were the crazy ones. We all gave her the same look because it was different from what we saw.

"No one did, except for Shawn." She looked at him clearing out whatever misunderstanding they had with her eyes. Genevieve might be right about the strange crazy bond between them, but what I don't understand is why she seems weak these days.

"We need to move, hostiles are crossing in from the east and west." Cody annouced after checking his mini computer.

"Wait, guys. Why are we killing ourselves from something we have no idea of?" Jazlyn snapped.

"It is you that's supposed to do the running we are already sacrificing for you. It is you they want not us." Max growled out at Jazlyn.

"Don't growl at me, it's not my fault they want me and you." She pointed at Shawn her face contorting. "It's your fault I am even here, if you hadn't brought me to your house, or bothered my life I wouldn't have to be in this situation!"

Jazlyn raised her hand to hit him and he caught it, she tried to harm him again but he dodge it, trapping her hands behind her back and drew her closer to himself.

I looked at Genevieve for help, she gave me a sign we should leave. I looked at Shawn and Jazlyn as my question, she nods for me to follow and I did.

We left them for a while as Genevieve told me she also said we should get going Shawn knows how to find us he would bring Jazlyn to us.

Jazlyn p.ov

"Get your hands off me you twisted cunning son of a bitch!" I spat angrily at him as I tried to get free from his hold.

"Jazlyn, stop your childish act, I've had enough already." He warned.

"Then stay away and keep your hands to yourself!"

"I hate it when you act this way Jasmine." He muttered.

"My name is not Jasmine and I don't care about your feelings, in fact, you have no feeling whatsoever, you're just a selfi-" I was cut off with his lips on mine. I moaned at the contact, I couldn't get enough that I had to support myself so I was straddling him despite my hands were behind me with his.

We stayed like that attacking each other with our tongues, soon we were out of breath and Shawn began to trail kisses down my jaw to my neck.

"Now you can see my feelings ." He murmured against my neck. I involuntary lay back welcoming his warm lips but the voice inside me kept nagging I should get a grip.

"This is unfair." I tried to pull away again but failed. Darn, his grip was so strong and impossible to break off.

"What my blood?" He asked still sounding husky and sexy as his lips torture me. 'go get a grip Jazlyn, you are in a freaking forest for crying out loud'

"You're stronger than I am and it's unfair you get to have the upper hand, let me go."

"If I do, you'll hurt me."

"So big badass panda is scared of getting hurt by a girl!" I mocked.

"You're so much trouble, I wished I never fell for you."

Well, that hurt but I won't let him mock me with his words. "I never fell for you, I guess it is just you who fell for me."

"I think we both know the truth. Let's promise ourselves something, no more fighting."

"No more." We leaned our heads against each other. I did that so he would free my hands and possibly escape his den. I heard leaves shuffling behind Shawn and my head snapped there. "Something's coming." I told him

"We better hurry up before it catches us then." Shawn lightly tapped my hips and stood up with me still in his arms, he circled his torso with my legs locking them firmly.

"They will catch us this way." I tried convincing him.

"Not on my watch."

"Let me walk, I'm not paralyzed." I forcefully demand from him.

"No."

"At least let go of my hands."

"No."

"Why are you being difficult?"

"Hang on." He announced, I swear I was more terrified than anything. How was he going to run with me when I can't hold him for support he is crazy to think I am safe with him, every moment I thought he would trip and fall me.

But it didn't happen, soon he slowed down, I buried my face inside his shirt. "We are here." He announced.

"Told you he'll find us." I heard Genevieve say. Shawn put me down with caution, he jerked his hand away from me and ran to a far corner. Thank god he predicted what I was about to do to him because I am sure he won't recover at all.

"What are we doing here?" I asked them.

"Welcome to mount krinshing. This is where our journey begins.
