Chapter 14

10 days later or should I say a week here in Gaia. I've finished my tree house I even made some furnishings like cabinet, chairs, tables and a bed. Using modern chainsaw and applying mana to it I manage to cut down many trees to make logs and wood planks. In addition to my newly strength that never empty my vitality, I made a very good job and I'm very impressed myself. Thanks to youtube instructional videos on how to, I made this tree house ahead of time. I went back to the portal several times to download videos also to return in many things that I do not need anymore. Then I also work on the cave so that it is more well hidden, also I mined the mana stones near the entrance so that it will not show any faint light. Even if the waterfall dried up it will only show a crack hole enough for a one person to enter and its just 20 meter long, with nothing but just darkness.

This passing days I just focus on exploring around and smoking weed. I do not smoke enough to get high just enough to feel my blood flowing all over my body and my muscles relaxing. I bought enough cigarette to last me a year though. Old bad habits can not go with just a snaw of a finger you know.

One time I followed the small stream to where it leads to, being very cautious of course. My furthest venture was 5km away from my house. The stream was connected to a river but I stop there. I don't know what kind of danger I I will face in this forrest. One time I spotted a 10 meter tall bear scratching its back on a tree luckily im 100m away and I just happened to hear it growling. I hunted it using my new sniper rifle. One shot to the eyes is all it takes. Of course I imbued it with mana penetration bullet. I aim for its head waiting patiently creating a sound proofing barrier with my mana then bang, a headshot, a very lucky headshot to the eyes. I don't know if the bullet hit the skull rather than te eyes it will be dead. So I considered it a lucky shot.

I skinned the bear and use its pelt as a carpet near my bed in my tree house. A very pleasing decor and a trophy if you ask me. My first kill here in the new world I am in. I aslo tried to cook the meat and eat it. That was very delicious and power filled meal. With my spices and skills in cooking no chefs can beat me while using this kind of ingredients.

So time goes on and almost a month pass the only interesting events that happend are I've hunted the snake I previously saw that night I was using my nightvision goggles. I don't know if it's the same snake but apparently it was the same size I saw. I also skinned it and tried to eat it. It was more delicious than the bear meat. The leather was very beautiful its like a rainbow colored scale when the light of the sun shown on it.

The other thing is I made a small garden with some plants I saw when I was roaming around the forrest. My favorite is the white rose like flower that a glowing crystal. I found it inside a cave where the snake is living. Aslo the peculiar plant like an orchi. It gives off an aroma that is very soothing.

An interesting discovery I found is that the insects here are very big. The smallest I've seen is just an inch and the largest a size of a car. A rhino beetle like insect with a very hard shell. I tried hunting it and failed. I shot it with my sniper rifle but the bullet just did not penetrate. It even bounces off luckily it did not charged me and just flown away on the opposite direction.

Also I started practising the various mana techniques that was included in the knowledge that was passed on to me by Moriah. Like that silencing barrier I always used when I'm firing my gun. I also absorbed most of the high grade mana stones I've mined when im arranging my bat cave.

Another two weeks have past. Nothing much happened just discovering new animals and plants here and there. Making improvements on my tree house and also my garden. Then while cooking something a familar voice was heard behind my back. My goddess.

Moriah: what are you cooking?

"Finally my goddess have returned from heaven and visit this lowly one's house."

Moriah: stop calling me your goddess. I am not. And I've just finished 2 days ago and rushed to comeback here to pick you up. What are you cooking? It smells very appetizing.

"Oh this its the meat of a horned rabbit I caught earlier. Sit at the dinning table and wait for me ill cook you a portion."

Moriah: how come you can hunt a berserker bear and a rainbow snake and also a dire forest wolf with your kind of level. Wait you leveled up your almost at level 20 like me. That was so fast. What did you do?

"Nothing much. I just absorbed 100 or so high grade mana stones I found, and eat meat of those creatures apparently their meat is very beneficial to my body. Also I hunted those using my weapon imbuning mana penetration in a long safe distance. So dont bother about it"

Moriah: don't bother? Did you know that wolf is a class 3, and the bear and snake is class 4 level monsters. Another thing did you eat all thier meat?

"No I do not know that class thing you are talking about. And yes I have eaten all the meat. Why do you ask?"

Moriah: what! How can you consumed all that meat? They are almost mid grade meat with a lot of mana in them. You are very lucky to be alive. And also where did you find so many high grade mana stones?

"Well the meat are very tasty and I dont get full easily. I dont feel any bad side effect so why stop? About that high grade stone, well when I was teleported to this word the cave I was teleported in has a pile of it but I got them all out. Wanna see the cave?"

Moriah: cave? What cave?

" well let's eat first then I will show you."

As I put her portion on the table and mine on my side also I gave her a wooden knife and fork to eat with. On the contrary of what I thought elves are not vegetarian. Well good for them.

As I start to eat my portion. I signal her to try hers. The she slice a piece and put her in her mouth.

Moriah: wow. This is so delicious how did you cook this.

"I just added some spices to it"

Moriah: spices? Well this horned rabbit dish can be sold in a high class restaurant. It can go toe to toe with the dishes there.

"Really? That just plain pan fry dish. You are not joking with me are you?"

Moriah: no. If we get back to the city I will show you. Even our palace chef can equal to this kind of dish.

"Ok I'll take your word for it. Finish it so that I can show you the cave."

Moriah: ok and there is another thing that's bothering me. How can you make a tree house like this and also where did you find those rare herbs in this place?

"Well I know carpentry so that's not a big deal when you are doing nothing. I had waited more than 1 month for you to come back so better busied myself than just to sit around you know. About those plants, I roamed around a little and found those plant beautiful so I planted in my garden. Pretty beautiful I say"

Moriah: well you can sell those plants at a high price. Specially the frozen rose and that rainbow weed.

"Really? Well tell me what to bring and I will sell those in the city later. I have almost used all the high grade mana stone I have. There is only 20 pcs left."

Moriah: ok im finished eating, thank you for that delicious meal. One last question how many mana stones did you have previously?

"I think more than 200. Here follow me, there is a small cave behind the waterfall. Is it ok with you to be wet?"

Moriah: its fine I'll just use some wind magic to dry myself up. Let's go. Wait ill teach you the technique so you can aslo dry yourself.

As moriah transfer the technique to me using the finger transfer thing. I acquired a new knowledge about elements manipulation. Very basic but it involves fire, water, earth, wind and light. It was like the cartoon series avatar. I can now manipulate elements on basic level.
