8 Baby Jenny
Jenny Barrett was born to parents Aaron and Ava Barrett. Ava gave birth to Jenny two years after getting married. She was very happy with her life. Though she lived in Plantation Garden with her husband and daughter, she spent a lot of time helping her father on the farm.
Ava has always been close to her dad and even though she was married, they still maintained that closeness. This made her mother Sally and her sisters Amoy and Amy jealous of her. Ava tried to get along with them but they didnt want to get along with her.
Aaron and Ava worked together in the business to make it a successful company. They had capable employees who could manage the business so they could spend quality time with their daughter Jenny. Jenny was a very active baby who kept them busy at all times
One day Aaron fell ill and went to the doctor. The doctor conducted a series of tests that revealed that he has stage four brain cancer.
Ava and Aaron were both devastated, but were not ready to give up the fight against the cancer. They sought all the advise they could get, all the best doctors they could find. After one year of battling, Aaron lost his fight to the cancer. By this time, they had used up all their savings and Ava was now struggling with the business.
After the funeral, Ava decided to sell the house and move back home with her family. Things were not very smooth at home as her mother Sally and her two sisters Amy and Amoy continued to be cold towards her.
Ava did not pay much attention to them, but focussed her energy on her daughter and her business.
One night after Ava had gone to bed, she received a call from the police that her car company was on fire. Ava drove to the scene along with her father Jeff, only to find that the fire had engulfed everything. Ava could not believe that these things were happening to her. She just stood there watching everything helplessly.
After the fire, Ava could not find the energy to leave home, she confined herself to her room. Other than taking care of her baby, she didnt do anything. Jeff tried everything to cheer her up, but she just gave a faint smile each time.
Ava stood at her room window and asked, "Why me God? What have I done to lose both my husband and business in a few months? God how much pain can one woman bear?" She stood there and cried until her eyes became dry.
Ava turned around to the voice of her baby daughter " don't cry mommy, you are too pretty to cry."
Ava knelt infront of her baby and said
"OK sweetheart mommy wont cry anymore, mommy loves you."
the baby threw her arns around her mother's neck and said "I love you too mommy."
Ava promised herself that day that she would never shed another tear, but would remain strong for her daughter. She spent her days taking care of her baby and helping Jeff on the farm. Jenny spent most of her time with Ava taking care of the animals and so Jenny developed a love for the animals from an early age.
While Ava, Jenny and Jeff were working on the farm, Sally and her two other daughters would go shopping and partying. They mocked Ava and Jenny and called them names. Ava kept her cool and never once answered, because she didnt want her daughter to hear her argue with them.
