Top secret

For a few seconds Linda was constantly looking at all the collection she had, of the movies featuring Jackson. Her heart was beating rapidly as she was about to meet her childhood crush.

 Linda, Jackson and Sheryl studied in the same school for many years. Sheryl's elder brother Jackson was the head boy of the school and was amongst the most popular guys. He was not just good in studies but he was also the number one basketball player.

Linda and Sheryl were classmates and Linda's father had just passed away and she was always extremely depressed. Sheryl was her only support and in those days Jackson would often hang out with Linda and Sheryl. Jackson also was extremely nice to Linda and gradually Linda had developed feelings for Jackson.

In those days Linda used to be a chubby girl with braces on her teeth. She had shot curly hair and looked extremely tomboyish. There were several tan patches on her skin which made her look not so attractive. After all Linda was just 10 years old and she hardly knew what it was like to look beautiful. Jackson on the other hand was 14 years old and extremely handsome. Also, he was extremely fit with golden hair and blue eyes. He had a fair and clear skin and his one slight smirk was enough to kill thousands of hearts.

In those days Jackson was rumored to be dating the head girl of the school while Linda used to always admire him from afar. Maybe somewhere deep down she knew that she was not one of those girls whom Jackson would fall in love with. Once when Linda was walking down the stairs heading towards her classroom, she tripped and was almost about to fall straight on her head when a strong arm encircled around her huge waist and pulled her closer to his body.

"ARGHHHHHH!!!"

"WATCH OUT!!!"

Linda had tightly shut her eyes as she knew that she was going to have a bad fall and probably break her nose but as soon as she felt somebody's arm, she opened her big eyes and saw Jackson smiling looking down at her. His one arm was enough to hold Linda's massive weight and their eyes met for a very long time.

"Say… Linda you need to watch your steps. I do not need you getting hurt." He smiled in much relief, swiping away her short curly hair from her face in a gentle manner.

Linda like an idiot was still oggling at his handsome face taking deep breaths. He was smelling so good and she could inhale his Cologne for an infinite time.

"Linda, are you alright? Why are you not replying?" Jackson blinked his deep blue eyes in much worry and shook her shoulders a little.

"Huh?" Linda was a little taken aback and she instantly jerked her head a little as if coming out of a trance. "I'm alright. Thank you so much for saving me. I guess I'm very clumsy."

She could feel the heat travelling towards her face and she definitely knew that she was blushing extremely hard. Just then they heard somebody's footsteps approaching them and Jackson instantly straightened Linda's body, making sure that she does not fall again.

"Alright then I shall go now." He smiled a little and gently patted Linda's right shoulder. He quickly walked down the stairs whistling a little and oozing his usual boyish charm.

Linda turned her neck and saw Sheryl looking at her brother and her best friend very carefully. "What is going on here? Sheryl had been standing from past 2 minutes observing both of them very carefully."

"I was about to fall down. Your brother helped me." Linda was blushing very hard and Sheryl had a notorious smile on her face. "Ohh shut up Linda. Almost everyone says the same excuse. You can easily tell me that you are having an affair with my brother."

 Linda's eyes grew widest in much shock and she was constantly looking at Sheryl. Sheryl was always the notorious one and she was just 10 years old but she definitely had the notorious nature of a teenager already.

Linda was now blushing even harder and she nodded her head trying to prove her innocence. "I will never look at your brother like that. I swear on my dead father that he had just help me from falling."

But then why are you blushing? Your story might be true but then I know you so well. You are really looking at my brother as if he was your favorite chocolate ice cream." Sheryl giggled loudly and poked her finger on Linda's red cheeks.

Linda yet again gasped in much shock and stammered a little trying to find the perfect explanation. "I.... actually… I….. was very scared of getting hurt. Maybe that is why my cheeks are red." Linda pressed her cheeks with her cold hand trying to come them down.

"Come on! Half of the school has a crush on my brother and it is alright if you also have it. Do not worry. Even if you have a crush on him, I will not tell it to my brother ever. I promise. Now do you believe me?" Sheryl smiled a little as she knew that Linda was already going through a rough patch in her life and she should not be teasing her so much.

"You promise?" Linda being her usual innocent self looked at Sheryl in much seriousness.

"Yes I promise." Sheryl nodded her head in much excitement as she really wanted to hear it from the horse's mouth.

"I do admire his good looks and his intelligence. I think I might have a crush on him." Linda stiffened her shoulders and spoke in a meek tone feeling extremely embarrassed.

"Haha. You are so cute. But do not worry I will not tell it to anyone. Do you want me to talk to Jackson about it? Maybe you too can start dating." Sheryl clapped her hands in much excitement as they both slowly started to walk towards their classroom.

"Heck no Sheryl. Have you seen him? He is so handsome and fit. Look at me. I'm fat ugly and my face is so plump. He will never make me his girlfriend and you have promised that you will not talk to anyone about it. I think the topic is closed and we shall not talk about it anymore." Linda spoke in a firm tone and Sheryl nodded her head in approval.
