PWA 101 Mareep's Memory of the Past

(Still on the Mareep Moemon's Point of View)

The purple mouse that have a smaller body than the snake suddenly make a Big Move as it squeaked loudly while mustering all the strength it still had on its body.

"Rattt... tata!!!!" ("End.... deavor!!!")

The Rattata then slammed its body to the snake that is already lunging towards it, the force of the collision is so great that it make the snake that is way bigger than the mouse, at least double the size of it, to be thrown back in pain.

The purple snake monster is thrashing around madly like it have been inflicted with some serious damage, it then looked at the small mouse that have just attacked it with the little amount of strength that still left on its tiny frame.

The snake's smug expression vanished entirely, and its expression is replaced with a look of terror as if its life has become as feeble as a candle that is being flickered in the middle of a windy night.

But the little mouse didn't stop at there.

Without wasting any more time, the small purple critter suddenly make another move as its tiny body vanished from sight before it immediately appeared in front of the snake, right on the snake's face that have surprise plastered on its countenance.

A Quick Attack!

The tiny mouse quick movement managed to caught the the snake off guard, and as unprepared as it is, the smaller pokemon is tackling its body with the last strength it had before it is fainted, together with the snake that have also fallen unconscious with a soft 'thud' sound when its head hit the ground.

In just less than ten breathes, the tiny little mouse that previously have been cornered in an absolute demise have managed to turn the table and bring down its bigger assailant to fall together along with it.

Looking at such a spectacular scene, that surely is an eye opening experience for me!

....

(Flash forward to the present day)

Today is another simple day as usual, I wake up from my sleep just when the sun is rising and the bird monsters called Hoothoot which are nested above me hooting together like a morning chorus.

Stretching my limbs for a bit then straighten my back after I am curling up while sleeping last night, I then get out from the root cavity on a very big tree that have been my home for almost one month.

I used to move from place to place in this forest, usually having a night sleeping in either a cave, a bush, a hidden hole in the ground or in a root or bark cavity on a big tree like just now.

Usually I never stay in one place for so long, because sometimes my predators or other fellow monsters found that place too and take them as theirs.

Since it is easier for me to just find a new place rather than fighting to the death just to secure a spot for sleeping, I usually move out and search for a new place voluntarily.

Of course, that's only apply for when the monsters that are occupying my place looks stronger than me.

If they are weaker..... He he he, nothing some electro convulsive therapy can fix.

Also, I may look like a sheep, but I can eat meat just fine.

Though I do prefer the "meat" from the plant monsters (A/N: Grass type Pokémons... Do they still count as meat? 😅🍖🥩🍗).

After having a breakfast by grazing on the grass around the tree I live in, I returned back with a happy tummy to take a nap on the hole.

Only to found a giant bee with a pair of stinger on its hands and another sting on its butt taking my place as its home.

Hmph, for a bug, it dares to take my place.

With a single Thunder Shock, I zapped it until it run away.

Feeling satisfied, I looked at the figure of the monster who called themselves Beedrill go far away until it disappeared deep in the forest.

I then return back to the little cave in between the tree's roots to take an afternoon nap.

I even have a sweet daydream when I am sleeping.

In that dream, I have a family who I have been longed for so long, with some other beings of my kins as my brother and sisters.

I am feeling so happy I smiled in my sleep.

Until a lot of buzzing sounds come over and disturbing my sleep.

Feeling disgruntled, I wake up from my sweet dream and get out of the hole that have been my home since last new moon.

When I am out and I see what's outside, though, all the feeling of sleepiness in my head instantly go away.

In its place, now the feelings of dread are coming over knocking on my brain.

There are a lot of giant bees flying over around my tree.

Vespiqueen f*cker, I let one of you go and now you are back after calling for some helps?

I suddenly realised that I have made a Big Mistake.

And when I am peeking at the swarm of Beedrill outside, one of them also looked at me.

"Bee bee driilll...." With a buzz that also sounds like its name, that stinging bee monstrosity called out its friends to look towards my direction.

Faced with the glare of more than a dozen pairs of eyes, a multifaceted eyes even, my body immediately tensed up, and my tiny little brain immediately kicked up its gear from gear 0 (just booting after sleep) to gear 4 (maximum acceleration).

"Ma reeeepppp~!"

My body immediately sprang up, and I cry out while using my biggest move Electric Terrain to charged up the entire place in electricity.

My move managed to make those Beedrills getting dazed in their place, they are staying rooted on the spot like those Oddish that are using Ingrain.

[ ] Author's Note [ ]

The fight in the early part of this chapter is inspired by the popular F.E.A.R. strategy that is most famously used by utilising a newly hatched Rattata.

This wonderful and meticulous tactics is a brilliant move that can give a weak Pokémon like a newborn Rattata an easy win even against a significantly stronger foes compared to it. This is one of the best and (in my opinion), the most satisfying way to achieve victory and humiliate your opponents by making their stronger mons floored by a Level One, Newborn little rat.

First, in order to use the F.E.A.R strategy, you will need to breed a Rattata that know a particular set of moves. Get a male and a female Rattata and let the male learn Quick Attack (at level 4) and Endeavor (at level 44) to be used as the parents.

Next, you breed the two Rattatas and hatch their egg, if nothing goes wrong, then you will have a Level 1 (in the newer generation Pokémon games) Rattata that knows both a Quick Attack and Endeavor..

Then, you will need to get a Focus Sash to be given to that newly hatched Rattata as its Hold Item.

Finally, here is the Fun part. When in Battle with that Rattata as your lead Pokémon, or when you switched to it after one of your other Pokémon fainted, choose Endeavor as your first move. Your opponent will hopefully hit your Rattata with a strong attack that would normally one-hit KO that Rattata. The Focus Sash then will saves your Rattata from getting one-shot, leaving it with only 1 HP instead. And then the move Endeavor executed by your Rattata later then makes your opponent's HP equal to Rattata's, putting it also at 1 HP.

After that, you know what to do. Choose Quick Attack on the next turn and voila! Your significantly stronger foe is now floored in humiliation by a newborn Rattata that has been hatched by Yours Truly! 😆👌🍻

Of course, no strategy is perfect, this tactic will fail if your opponent used a multi hit move like Double Kick or Fury Attack since Focus Sash will only protect your Pokémon for the first hit but not on the next ones.

This tactic would also fail if there's a hail, sandstorm, or anything that can damage your Rattata after it got to 1 HP and before it can execute its Quick Attack.

But all in all, this delicious, humiliating tactics are worth it to do once in a while, just for the sake of enjoying the expression on the face of your opponent when their prized Pokémon is getting used to mop the floor by a baby mouse 😆🍻🤣
