1 Xavier Gunn

City M , year 3030

"It has been 1 month now, but I still can't believe that I would also be the one to reincarnate," Xavier murmured to himself as he sighed, gazing out of the window.

"Hey, let's go, Xavier. Mr. Johnson has left the class," a voice rang in Xavier's ear, snapping him out of his reverie. Xavier turned towards the voice, which belonged to Alex, a red-haired boy.

"Hurry up! What are you looking at me for?" said Alex, prompting Xavier to respond. "Are you thinking about tomorrow?" asked Alex.

Xavier nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm feeling both excited and nervous at the same time. I hope everything goes fine ".

After a pause , Xavier continued,"Alright, let's go home and wait for tomorrow."

After packing their bags, both of them headed outside the school, engaged in conversation as they walked until they reached a point where their paths diverged, leading each of them to their respective homes.

As Xavier stood before the gate of his house, he couldn't help but let out a sigh. Memories of his previous life as a 23-year-old adult flooded his mind, contrasting with his current state as a 16-year-old child in this new world.

Xavier was not from this world; he originally belonged to Earth and was a 23-year-old adult who, after graduating, had just started working as a software developer in an IT firm. He was an avid fan of anime and fantasy light novels. Since childhood, he had always dreamed of being in a Pokémon world, where he could catch Pokémon and experience exciting adventures. He enjoyed playing Pokémon games and immersed himself in their captivating universe. On the personal front, Xavier had a girlfriend with whom he had been in a loving relationship for 3 years.

As Xavier reminisced about his past, he remembered the fateful day when everything changed. While driving home with his girlfriend after a date night, a high-speeding car crashed into theirs, tragically resulting in his death. The memories after the accident were a blur, and he had no knowledge of whether his girlfriend survived the crash or if she too experienced a reincarnation like him

Xavier never imagined that one day he would find himself resembling the protagonist of a fantasy novel, reincarnated in a different world.

Xavier shook his head, breaking free from his trance, and proceeded to open the door of the house. He called out, "Mom, I am back!"

"Oh, Xavier, you're back! Just put your bag in the room and come to the dining room for food," said Lisa, an ordinary-looking woman with a fair complexion when she heard Xavier's voice.

After hearing his mother's voice, Xavier headed towards his room, placing his bag down, and then proceeded to the dining room. As he entered the dining room, he spotted two young children with yellow and brown hair, respectively, eating their food. These were Xavier's 8-year-old twin siblings, Ron and Rose. Seated next to them was a man around 175 cm tall, with brown hair and an average build. This was John Gunn, Xavier's father, also enjoying his meal.

"Brother, you're back!" exclaimed both the twins simultaneously when they saw Xavier approaching the dining table. Upon hearing their voices, Jack also turned his attention to Xavier and gestured for him to sit in front of him at the table.

Xavier smiled warmly at both the twins and settled down in front of his father to have his meal. Once the meal was finished, Lisa took Ron and Rose to their room, leaving Xavier and John alone in the dining area.

"Son, how are you feeling about tomorrow?" asked John.

"Dad, I'm nervous, but I'm also hoping that everything goes well tomorrow," Xavier replied.

"Son, no matter what the result is tomorrow, we are with you. You don't need to feel nervous. Don't burden yourself," said John, offering a reassuring smile.

Xavier nodded in acknowledgment and made his way back to his room.
