30 minutes later:

I was in a shock now, not because of what Gregory chose but of what Duke and Kaiser chose.

Kaiser surprisingly got a Swinub and Duke got a Pawniard. Rose was the lucky one who got the other starter. I can understand Duke's choice but why did Kaiser choose a Swinub while there was a starter to choose?

Although Swinub and Starter pokemon have similar potential and stats it's not every day you see a guy who prefers Mamoswine over a league starter. If you think it over I think I can understand, Kaiser likes power and bulk on his team and that's exactly what a Mamoswine offers.

Gregory chose the Eevee available and was very happy with it. I sometimes feel Gregory is not suited to be a Team Rocket member. I think one of these days he will learn to be harsh or cruel, I was exactly like him before I killed but even then I just toned down my morals instead of abandoning them.

There are things I need to ponder after today, first is my morals and then my psychic training. Should I become cruel? or should I stay the way I am? There is a thin line between good and bad, I can't stay in the middle and be both. I need answers and the only one I can consult is Oak. I wish I had parents to talk to or someone I love or respect. These are the times I feel very lonely inside and when I want someone to lean on to take a breath or relax, I have no one which makes me a bit depressed.

I read a lot of books about how the main characters kill bad guys and stay normal with the ones they love. That's just bullshit, once you consciously kill someone you are never the same, something inside dies and you just keep up the act in front of others. After killing those five people I feel like I can kill anyone in this world without having any after-effects on my psychology.

I think this is the reason people tell you to have someone you love. I am alone in this world without any strings attached which just makes me feel free and unstoppable.

When I do something bad, I don't need to think twice as I have no one to defend or no one to explain. Is this way of thinking right? is the only question that's bothering me. (You guys understand what I mean right?)

How do I keep my human side in check without drowning in darkness? No!!!!!! this weird feeling I am having these days is not exactly that, I can kill Oak or Ash right now and feel nothing even if they are good human beings, the only way you can explain this is not having a sense of belonging to the people of this world.

Even if I know that they are real beings, I still see them as characters from anime and so I feel nothing, how do I stop this feeling? because it might get serious after a point. The only way I can think of is to have someone you love or have someone love you, the thought looks so funny and depressing.

'Fuck!!! I am thinking too deep. Those are the questions that can't be answered, I guess time will tell me what I will become.'

"You guys, come with me to the reception. Executives are waiting and they will choose whom they want to train," said a voice bringing me out of my thoughts.

We all followed behind Fed in curiosity as more than half of us did not see the Executives till now.

Executives Meeting(POV):

"Ok, let's start the talk which we have been avoiding since we arrived here," said cyan-haired Archer.

"There's nothing to talk about, I want Kaiser and his father also works under me," Said Proton without dragging it.

"Well you can take him in, not one of us have any interest in him. He doesn't suit my training style, I wanted Duke before because of Vahn but now I am more interested in Raven," stated Archer speaking about his interests.

"You guys fight, I want Rose on my team. She is the only female member who did well in the last five years. My team is full of male shits which is off-putting me these days," said Ariana. She wanted Raven but seeing that Archer is interested she gave up. She knows that Petrel is also interested in Raven so there's no way she can fight these two.

"Ok that's solved I guess. Proton takes Kaiser and Ariana takes Rose. What about you Petrel? Do you have anyone you want this year or you will pick the leftovers like every year?" asked Archer as he slowly turned towards the calmy sitting Petrel.

"Archer you know that you have to take in Duke because of what you promised to Elite Vahn. There's no point in fighting on who takes Raven as I am interested to train him. If you can't give up how about I give my support to promote Carr for Elite position, you will have two elites promoted and it will be a win-win," said Petrel in a monotonous tone.

"Who wants your support for promotion? Captain Carr supervised an island trial which produced three of the top five winners. He will be promoted by Boss no matter what so stop pretending like you are doing a favour," said Archer in annoyance.

"Fine, tell me what should I do? You can't take both Duke and Raven, you have to give up one guy and that can't be Duke. Stop dragging this and give me Raven. This will be the first time in the last ten years that I am taking a top guy among the trial takers. You can't stop me or drag this to make sure I compensate you guys for giving me the top seed. All I need is to put up a request to Boss and he will agree," said Petrel crushing Archer's plan to get some valuable things for giving up a top seed.

"Tsssskk, fine, take Raven. I will take Duke this time," said Archer finishing this minor meeting.

All of them stood up and asked Fed to bring the participants inside.

Jay POV:

We all walked in and stood facing the so-called Executives. I played a lot of games and read the manga so I have a hunch on who these guys are.

"Captain Fed, we have decided on whom we will be taking so you can leave them here and move on," said Archer.

"Yes Sir, I will take my leave," said Fed with at most respect. He slowly walked off closing the door, the room was filled with silence as the Executives gazed at us. I was wearing the same mask and the hood which made me look like I am calmer when compared with the other guys.

Proton who was looking at me as if he had a sour eye started talking,

"So you are the winner huh, remove that mask and show us your face. Don't put on the act of being mysterious, you pussy!!!!!"

I calmy looked at Proton, I have two options now, one is to respectfully take the mask off and reveal myself or go against his order. I started thinking fast and arrived at a conclusion,

"I am sorry but before I do that can I ask a question?", I said which startled Proton as he did not expect me to talk back. Proton raised his brows and tried to remove the mask by himself only to be stopped by Archer.

Archer gazed at me and said,

"Being courageous is not always good but I will give you an exception this time, ask away."

"I was told that I will be trained under an Executive so am I training under this Sir who asked me to remove my mask?" I asked politely pointing towards Proton.

"No, you will be training under Petrel here, he will be your leader and you will form your team under his supervision," said Archer introducing Petrel.

I gave a nod at that and turned towards Proton, "I am sorry I can't do that Sir, I will be taking orders only from Executive Petrel. Unless he asks me to remove my mask, I won't be doing that," I said silencing everyone. Proton's eyes turned red in anger, he looked like he will kill me any second.

I know from the Manga that Proton is an asshole and Petrel is considered as the master of disguise. I am confident that Petrel will not ask me to remove my mask as he too likes being mysterious. I took my chances in making an enemy out of Proton while impressing the other three executives.

The first impression will always be the best impression, I know for a fact that Giovanni will know of everything that happens here.

Petrel who was very impressed by my courage looked at me and said,

"You don't need to do that, I will see your appearance when we get back to my base."

"Petrel bastard, are you trying to insult me and make me look bad in front of everyone?" said Proton while looking for a fight.

"Proton, stop it!!!!!! Don't make a scene here. Get your kid and walk away. Petrel, you too, take Raven to the base and finish all the paperwork," said Archer releasing his aura of a leader.

The way his eyes turned sharp when he said that seemed very intimidating. Petrel immediately asked me to follow him, I walked away without even sparing a look towards Proton.

For some people, my move would have seemed dumb because I offended an Executive but I know what kind of a guy is Proton. He is a psychopath who kills for fun, most probably Duke or Kaiser would be on his team. I already offended both of them and with their mentality, they will surely come after me. Proton as their boss would never back down from a fight so anyway I indirectly offended him, this won't change anything.

The only way I could make the Executive I am under support me is by impressive him. Duke and Kaiser have their father support while I have no one to rely on in this organization. I had no choice but to pull that move, it was a gamble and I guess, it paid off well. All of the other executives seem to not like Proton by their reactions earlier.

Petrel took me to a room and gave me some paperwork to fill, this was for my promotion to Captain. I filled in the basic details and we walked out of the base.

"If you have any agents that you want to recruit among the people here, tell me now. We will take them to the base saving some time," said Petrel looking at me.

"Yes, Mr Executive Petrel...Sir, I want to take Gregory under me. He placed fifth in this tournament and he might still be here," I said awkwardly as I did not know how to address him.

"Alright, I will wait here and you go get him. Also, call me Executive Petrel or Sir."

I nodded at him and went back into the base. I asked at the counter about the whereabouts of Gregory, I then followed his instructions and met him. He was startled by my sudden visit,

"I thought you guys already left? Why did you come back?" he said in confusion.

"Nothing, Executive Petrel said to get you along with me. You will be the agent under me so let's go." I said without wasting any time as Petrel was still waiting outside.

We hurriedly came out of the base after finishing Gregory's paperwork, I saw Petrel standing beside a Five and a half foot tall Medicham. Before I try appraising it, Petrel said,

"Took you a long time to get a guy, Anyways stay still while my Medicham Teleports us."

We nodded at that and then vanished the next second leaving an empty field.
