Chapter 80

"What is wrong?" Aizen chuckled when he saw Diancie apprehensively looking at him, and she lowered her head at his question.

The Orayen Prince came close to her and gently patted her head, which eased her nerves a little.

"Not a word to anyone, okay?" He winked at her mischievously.

"Okay." She readily nodded her head in a scare. Even if he did not tell her, she would have never dared to say a word to anyone. Not even to Sabrina.

Aizen calmly sat down on the couch, and picked up Rinko, who was soundly asleep. He gently brushed its soft coat with his fingers and waited for the Diamond Fairy to collect her thoughts and feel at ease around him.

The Fairy Energy shrouding Aizen was ethereal. And Diancie felt overwhelmed by it. She now knew whose Energy it was, and to say that she was shocked would be an understatement. She was outright terrified just as much as she was shaken by the truth.

The humans may have forgotten what happened in the Ball, but the Pokemon on St. Anne remembered everything. They remembered the immensity of the pressure on their hearts, and their instincts yelling at them to lower themselves in respect.

The Diamond Fairy braved herself and sat by his side before curiously looking at the Pokeball he was wearing in his necklace.

"What kind of Pokeball is this?" She softly asked.

As far as she knew, it was impossible to capture a Progenitor inside a Pokeball.

"It is not exactly a Pokeball." Aizen shook his head. "Yes, Pokemon can reside inside it, but they are free to enter and leave it. Any Pokemon can enter or leave it, but not if I am not willing to let them enter. There's also no limit to how many Pokemon can stay inside it at one time. The Arcane Families call it the 'Promise Ball'."

"The Promise Ball?" The Diamond Fairy cutely tilted her head.

"Yes. A Pokeball created by Arceus himself." Aizen smiled and said. "There were four such Pokeballs in existence, each handed out to the four Royal Families of the Arcane Creed. And now there are only three in existence, but the third one has been missing for over a thousand years now. All the Pokeballs we have today are created in its image."

"What happened to the fourth one?"

"It was destroyed." Aizen sadly sighed. "The Royal Family it belonged to was betrayed by two of the 4 Arcane Families under them. They wanted to take the rule in their hands. But what they had not anticipated was that when the last living member of the Royal Family was killed, the indestructible Promise Ball shattered and turned to dust. And then the Traitors started losing their Powers. It took a couple of hundred years, and their existence was no more. Not even their legacies survived."

"What happened to the rest of the two families?"

"They got weaker. And to preserve themselves, they married into other Arcane Clans, becoming their Branch Families." Aizen informed her.

Diancie was still looking at the Promise Ball. She was scared, curious, enchanted, and at the same time, happy. As a Fairy Pokemon, she felt connected to the Crimson Queen more than the other Pokemon.

Aizen knew that she wanted to meet Lyla, but she was not sure if she should intrude.

He was about to tell her to wait for Lyla to invite her, but the Promise Ball started shining brightly, and Diancie was sucked inside of it.

The Orayen Prince stayed in the lounge for a few minutes to see if Diancie would return, but it seemed like she was not going to come out for a while.

It was late in the night, and the girls were already in their beds, except, of course, Sabrina. She was busy meditating as always.

He brought the silver fox with him to his room, and soon as he fell on his soft bed, sweet dreams pulled him in their embrace, and he slept like a baby till late in the morning.

When he woke up, he found a message left by Bill for him, asking him to meet the Team in their suite.

When he arrived at the suite where the Team was residing, Sabrina was already there, and everyone was busy discussing something.

"What happened?" He asked as he took his seat by the side of Cynthia.

"Your Team Rocket trio sent you some information related to Mewtwo." Cynthia gave him a peck on the lips and then showed him the message that James had sent.

Aizen could not help but smile. He knew that they were capable, and they had not taken much time to prove him right.

There were just a few words in the message, but they were enough.

'Project Mewtwo. Pokemon Mansion, Cinnabar Island.'

"Have you found out the exact location of this 'Pokemon Mansion'?" Aizen looked at Krane and Bill and asked.

"Yes." Krane nodded his head and then opened a Holographic Map of the Island from his wristwatch. "It is deep in the forest on the western side of the Island, right in the heart of the forbidden zone."

"No satellite images?"

"There's a device protecting it," Bill informed him. "There's also an Anti-Teleportation Warding Device. It can be broken through if our Psychic Pokémon work together, but we have decided against Teleporting there."

Teleporting right in the heart of enemy territory was stupid. There could be traps laid out, and their sudden intrusion could lead to several unforeseen consequences.

"What's the plan?" He asked Joseph.

The Team then informed him of the plan they had come up with. A battle seemed inevitable, and Aizen had to make sure to keep the girls away from the Red Zone.

Thankfully, the forbidden area was on the western side, far away from the eastern Cinnabar Port City where St. Anne would dock for half a day.

Returning to their suite, Aizen and Sabrina informed the girls about the possible presence of Team Rocket on Cinnabar Island. And the girls agreed to stay in the Cinnabar Lab, on the outskirts of Cinnabar City.

Misty was reluctant at first. She wanted to come with Aizen, but relented after Anira and Leaf readily agreed to stay out of trouble. She decided to stay with the girls to keep them safe.

"What happened to Diana?" Sabrina followed Aizen to his room and asked.

The Diamond Fairy seemed happier today, playing excitedly with her friends, and the once sparkling pink jewel on her chest was now crimson. It, somehow, added to her beauty and made her friends curious as well. But the Diamond Fairy had refused to tell Sabrina the reason behind the change.

Leaf and Misty thought that it was a natural change, but Sabrina knew that it was not the case.

"She received a gift from a special Fairy." He chuckled and said, pulling her in his arms and looking right into her eyes. "She's fine."

"I know she's fine." She nodded her head. "But who is this 'Special Fairy'? And why do I remember a certain Crimson-Haired girl from last night?"

"Her name is Lyla." He sighed and said.

Apparently, Lyla had let Sabrina remember her presence, just like Anira and Cynthia. And now there were a total of four people other than him, who had seen and remembered Lyla.

Her pink eyes stared into his violet orbs, waiting for him for an answer.

"She's a Progenitor Pokemon..." Aizen went on to explain what Progenitor Pokemon were but did not really reveal to her who Lyla exactly was.

Sabrina seemed content with the information Aizen had given her and did not inquire further. She understood why Diancie was hiding the truth from her, and dropped the matter.

The two of them then meditated for the rest of the journey, keeping their Psychic Focus sharp and ready. And at 12 pm, St. Anne docked at the Cinnabar City port as scheduled.
