The Man From Another World

It all started with a man falling from the sky. The man, Rei, originally, lost and confused, grew to be a legend, defeating and even capturing many Legendary and Mythical Pokemon. He completed the first-ever Pokedex and even helped integrate Pokemon into human society. He even brought the two rival clans, the Pearl and Diamond clan together, culminating in the marriage between Irida and Adaman. With the creation of the Hisui Clan, the region was renamed Sinnoh in honor of the creator, and the hero, Rei, lived on to create many more legends and catch many more Pokemon.

However, that is not our main character. No, our story starts many years later. With inter-region trading beginning to open up, the Hisui clan feared for the Noble Pokemon who may be targeted by foreign powers. Therefore, they split up into many branches each branch assigned to a Noble Pokemon, with the main branch staying in Jubilife Village and working with the Galaxy Team. The various other branches hid away, along with the Noble Pokemon.

Hundreds of years later, only one member of the main branch of the Hisui Clan remains. The direct descendant of Adaman and Irida. And coincidentally, it's someone inhabited by the soul of a reincarnated person.

================================================================

It's been fifteen long years since I've been reincarnated into this world. No prior warning, no cliche meeting with a God, just popping out of the womb with memories of a whole other life. Over time, most memories of my old life have become blurry.

The only memories still fresh in my mind are those of Pokemon, which I made sure to remember, as well as write down and hide somewhere secure, as soon as I realized which world I was in.

Being reincarnated into the Pokemon world was definitely a great surprise, one that took me a while to get used to. And to add to that, my identity was another surprise. In this world, I am Grisha Hisui, the only remaining mainline descendant of the Hisui Clan, and possibly the only Hisui Clan member left. And before anyone brings it up, no. Not the Grisha from Attack on Titan. We don't talk about him.

My name apparently follows the naming conventions of my ancestors. 'Adam'an from 'Adam'ant Orb, 'Irid'a from 'Iridisecent Orb', and finally me, 'Gris'ha from 'Griseous Orb'. Whether that's a coincidence or it was planned, I'll never know.

Anyways, more about me. I live near the edge of Bewilder Forest, in between Jubilife City and Sandgem City. Here, the Hisui Clan Compound is. Its only inhabitants: me, the Pokemon, and my servants. Despite that, it carries enough supplies to last multiple families for several years, with many farms maintained by my servants. If any more supplies are ever needed, my servants ride by Pokemon to Jubilife City to grab them.

At this point, you're probably wondering where the rest of the Hisui Clan is, huh? The short answer is: gone. All the older members left to seek out the branch clans, which we all lost contact with five years ago. And not a single one has come back. Leaving only the fifteen-year-old clan heir, me.

It's alright though. Even with all the working members gone, years of generational wealth mean it's practically impossible for me to go bankrupt. And now that I'm fifteen, I can finally start my journey. Which happens to be a deviation from the Pokemon I know, where the age to become a trainer was ten. But let's be honest, that's absolutely absurd.

While humans do have insanely strong durability, as evidenced by Rei in Pokemon Legends Arceus, who literally tanks Hyper Beams, they still have close to zero attack power without Pokemon. Any normal human would be absolutely curb-stomped by a Pokemon, and probably run away seriously injured, if not dead in a real confrontation.

Well, excluding Aura Users and a select few psychics. But we'll get to that later. The point is, giving ten-year-olds (literal fifth graders), murder weapons are absurd. Not to say that giving 15-year-olds (still high-schoolers in America, and teenagers everywhere) isn't absurd, but it's just less unbelievable.

Back on to the topic of differences between the games/anime and the Pokemon world. Both Red and Ash exist. But Red's generation was WAY back. To put it into perspective, Red is about 40. Gold is about 30. May is about 20. Cynthia is a rising star, currently being 16 years old. Dawn, who is the secret descendant of the legendary hero Rei, only known by the Hisui Clan, is about eight.

Ash, who in this world, is the son of retired Pokemon researcher Delia Ketchum, and suspected (by me) to be the son of Red, is currently seven. Don't ask about how I know that. Admitting to stalking a seven-year-old on the Internet makes me sound like a pedophile which, I assure you, I am NOT.

...

Let's change the subject. World differences. Right. Aura Guardians still exist and are still extremely rare and secretive. While I, like all direct descendants of the Hisui Clan, possess the ability to use aura, most humans still do not know of its existence.

Generally, Aura allows people to communicate with Pokemon, enhance their bodies, transform their Aura into typings, and unleash Pokemon moves, though they never really stack up in power to actual Pokemon. As for Mega Evolution, Z-Moves, and the others.

Dynamax currently exists in Galar, though it's uncontrollable, and currently seen as a natural disaster. It'll likely only become competitively usable later on. Mega Evolution is still currently unknown except in rumors and legends, as Professor Sycamore, the main pioneer of Mega Evolution is still getting his education, as he is in the same generation as Cynthia and I.

However, I've managed to confirm its existence due to the many keystones and mega stones that have been collected over the years by the Hisui Clan despite not knowing what they're for. Alpha Pokemon still exist, though they are extremely rare due to the mass hunting of Alphas sometime after the Sinnoh-Hoenn war around fifty years after the events of Pokemon: Legends Arceus.

Anyways, with the exposition out of the way, let's get to our main event. My Pokemon journey. Now that I'm fifteen I can legally register as a Pokemon trainer, leaving the upkeep of the Hisui Clan Compound to my butler, Brandt.

As for my starter, well... I don't just have one. I have three.

Let me explain.

In the ancient legends, and in the games, Rei was originally given a choice of three Pokemon at the start of his journey. Oshawott, Rowlet, and Cyndaquil. Who he chose is heavily disputed due to the fact that following his battle with Giratina, he was seen with all three's fully evolved Hisuian form, but their existence is confirmed.

As such, each generation of the main-line Hisuian descendants is given those three Pokemon, Rowlet, Oshawott, and Cyndaquil, to honor the hero that brought together the Diamond and Pearl Clan. For non-direct descendants, they may be allowed to choose one of the three, if they are especially talented. However, as the Hisuian forms are currently extinct besides those being raised in the Hisui Clan, they are extremely rare and valuable.

That's why my current situation is even more absurd. As the last heir of the Hisui Clan, and possibly its last member, I will be given all three. More specifically, I will be given all three of the Alpha versions to raise as my own and take on my journey. To put this into perspective, there are only around 50 of each species living, though, the population is still growing.

Of these species, only around five per are Alphas, which is already an absurdly high rate, only achievable by the extremely beneficial growth environment and the top-of-the-line gene pool. All three of these Pokemon, I have raised since eggs, as my responsibilities as the heir to the Hisui Clan means I have to be able to take care of all the Pokemon being raised within the compound.

While I could hypothetically take more Pokemon from the compound, I felt that the three starters were already too much of a bonus. After all, I myself, as a trainer, need to grow, too. Not to mention the fact that I want to catch more Pokemon. While the six Pokemon limit only applies to official battles, with top-of-the-line trainers being able to carry more, that doesn't mean that raising multiple is an easy task.

Other than the financial upkeep, which thankfully, I have covered, just training multiple Pokemon is a feat only talented or experienced trainers can manage. Anyways, with the Pokemon situation handled, the next thing to address is my goal. Right now, my goals aren't too lofty. Probably win a few interregional tournaments, find what happened to the branch families, and maybe become one of the best in the world along the way.

Easy stuff, right?

Still not really sure what POV I want to write this in, so there might be multiple POVs or POV changes. The first person is easier for me to write imo, but third person omniscient is more fun to read.

Anyways, leave questions, comments, suggestions, etc. in the comments and please add the story to the library and use your power stones to motivate me to write. I have a lot of stuff going on in my life usually, so it's those sorts of things that motivate me to keep writing.
