Chapter 39: Food Problem

After getting kidnapped by Ashley and Opal, Soul found himself inside a warm cabin at the dining table, where Ashley and Opal sat at the opposite of him.

None of them said anything, but their expression could tell what they were thinking.

Ashley: So Soul, since you have made me and Opal waited for you so long, and we chased after you for quite a while don't you think you should at least accept 2 of our requests?

Soul: W-Well I guess I can. So long as it's not something absurd.

Ashley: Great! My first request is that you will try all of my dishes and tell me what you think about them.

Soul: Sure, I can do that.

Ashley: Nice! The second request is that you will be watching me along with Opal at the annual Cooking Tournament for the secret reward.

Soul: When will it start?

Ashley: Tomorrow 09:00 am.

Soul: Sure, I can do that too since I have some time to waste.

After that Ashley became expression became livelier, as she went to the kitchen and begins to cook some foods for Soul and Opal.

While waiting for the food, Soul and Opal begins to talk with each other. They still one gym badge behind Soul, who just got his seventh gym badge.

Soul was surprised that Opal played the same game as him, so both of them stared at each other with intents aura around them.

Both of them took their phone and begins to challenge each other in PVP. The outcome of the battle was a tie, as both of them became thirsty and went to get a glass of water to fill their dry throats.

After a while, Ashley walked by and served both of them her first dish, pancakes. Smelling the aroma around it, Soul smiled and took a bite along with Opal.

*Munch*

He could taste the warm sweet taste in his mouth. It wasn't too dry nor hard. A really good pancake if he must say so himself.

Soul: The pancakes are great and delicious. A nice dish to eat.

Opal: Yeps, great food indeed.

Ashley: Aw, come on guys~ you're flattering me.

With the dish finished, Soul and Opal waited for the next dish to arrive. But alas they didn't know what Ashley plan truly was before it was too late.

Two hours later…

Soul: I-I can't eat anymore…

Opal: Me neither… I feel like if I went to take one more bite, my stomach would explode.

That's right, for the past two hours, Soul and Opal have been constantly eating Ashley dishes.

After their third meal, they begins to realize that she wouldn't stop cooking dishes for them, and it would be rude not to eat it, so they were forced to take every single bite of it.

Ashley: Thank you very much! Now I know exactly how to improve my dishes later on.

She didn't get a response back, so she went to check on both of them. When she looked closely, she found out that both of them were asleep.

Chuckling at this, she went to lift the sleepy Opal to her room, and change to her pajamas before leaving her on the bed with a blanket on top of her body.

She then went to life Soul up and put him on the sofa with a pillow and a blanket. She went to kiss on his forehead and said.

Ashley: Goodnight sleepyhead, hehe.

She did the same with Opal before she went to clean up the dishes and made herself some food.

After she finished eating, she went to take a bath, then went to sleep.

The next day…

Sun begins to rise as everyone could hear the morning sound of Doduo and Dodrio. Peoples begins to wake up and business was starting again.

Inside a wooden cabin, a handsome young boy with black hair could be seen sleeping peacefully until he heard Dodrio sound, and begins to open his eyes.

Waking up, Soul yawned and stretched his body before noticing that he wasn't in the usual Pokemon Center room nor his tent.

Suddenly he felt like he was about to throw up and went to the bathroom, where he went throw out the food that wasn't digested by his stomach yet.

Pushing the button down, all of his puke disappeared and was replaced by normal water again.

Soul went to the sink and begins to wash away the bad taste. Suddenly Opal also-ran to the bathroom and did the same as him.

Soul: Have she also done this to you before?

Looking up, Opal looked at Soul with a tired expression before she nodded. Soul felt bad for her, but at the same time relives.

Soul: Thank god I don't have any traveling companions unlike you.

Opal: S-Shut up…

She said as she fake punch Soul's shoulder and went to wash off the bad taste in her mouth. Soul yawned once again before he said.

Soul: Well I'll be leaving. Tell Ashley that I would come to the Cooking Tournament. I need to brush my teeth very thoroughly after this.

Opal: Un, I will.

Saying goodbye to each other, Soul walked out of their house and went to the Pokemon Center where he went to take a bath and brush his teeth.

After that, he went to check out his clock.

Soul: 'Looks like I have plenty of time, let's go make my Pokemons their foods.'

Walking out of the Pokemon Center with his bag, Soul walked to a forest where he wouldn't get disrupted by anyone and started cooking breakfast for his Pokemons.

He wasn't hungry at all after all the foods he ate from yesterday. That was at least a good thing since he would spare the food supplies.

When he was finished, Soul called out his Pokemons as they all begin to eat their meals. After that, Soul went to train his Pokemons and play with them until it was 8:50.

Soul: 'Guess it's time for the tournament to begins, huh.'
