Chapter 37: Fighting Against Moltres for the Chest!

Inside the volcano of Cinnabar Island, a young boy with black hair and heterochromia eyes color could be seen, staring at one of the legendary bird trio, Moltres.

This was Soul and he is about to battle his ever first battle against a legendary Pokemon. He could feel like there were some butterflies in his stomach as he became excited.

Soul: Let's go and win this, Noivern!

He said as he called out Noivern from its Pokeball. When it came out, it gave out a loud roar that shook the entire cave.

Moltres, who saw this also became excited. It's finally going to battle against another strong opponent!

Without waiting for its opponent to start, Moltres went to the first attack with Flamethrower. Seeing the incoming attack, Soul said.

Soul: Noivern, dodge the attack, and use Agility.

Noivern dodged Flamethrower by the side and used Agility, but the Flamethrower didn't go out and followed him as he kept flying around the cave, and dodge the attack until its depleted.

Soul: Now it's our turn. Noivern uses Air Cutter.

Noivern sent out several wind blades against Moltres as it dodged most of it, but still got hit. It didn't get to much hurt from the attack and begins to use it move.

Soul: Noivern keeps using Agility until you can't anymore, and dodge whatever Moltres throws at us.

Noivern nodded as Moltres finished prepared its attack and used Heatwave, sending a massive wave of heat against Noivern.

The attack was massive and there was no place to dodge the attack, so Soul looked at Noivern and said.

Soul: Noivern use Hurricane and deflect the attack!

Noivern quickly flaps its wing and moved around in a circle, creating a hurricane faster than what it would normally do. It was due to the effect of agility that it would be able to generate a hurricane in a short time.

When the Heatwave came in contract with Hurricane, it was absorbed by it, as the Hurricane has some fires surrounding it and became a fire hurricane.

The fire hurricane disappeared as Noivern was on the ground. He was hurt a little bit and could continue the battle.

Soul: What sneaky fellow we got here.

Moltres didn't wait for their turn and used another Flamethrower again.

Soul: Noivern use Boomburst!

Noivern sent out a powerful sonic wave, as it pierces through Moltres Flamethrower and hit it, directly sending it against a wall and created a crater.

Soul: Okay Noivern, let's finish this. Use Double Team and Dragon Rush!

Noivern created several fake copies of itself and all of them covered themselves with dragon energy, creating a blue dragon.

Moltres, who just got up saw several Noivern and was a bit confused until it saw, that all of them were heading towards it with Dragon Rush!

Moltres quickly try to counter Noivern's attack by using Heatwave to find the real Noivern. When all of the copies were gone, it saw that Noivern was getting to close!

It quickly covered itself with a white aura around it and heading toward Noivern with full speed. It was using Sky Attack against Noivern's Dragon Rush.

None of them hesitate and try to gain as much speed as possible while heading towards their opponent.

A huge explosion occurred when both of them hit each other. When the smokes and dust were cleared Soul could see that Noivern was pretty injured.

He looked over at the other side and found Moltres with also another heavy injure. Both Soul and Noivern were prepared for another attack, but Moltres suddenly fell down and fainted.

They stopped for a moment before Soul and Noivern looked at each other and went to hug each other.

Soul: Goodjob Noiver, we won!

Noivern: Noivern~

Soul: Now let's see what kind of artifact will I get from the chest. Hopefully its something good.

Walking toward the chest, Soul did the usual blood unlocking method and opened the chest. Inside there was a red stone, a page, and another map?

Picking up the items, Soul did the usual, sending the page and map to his inventory and have Arc to scan the artifact.

Soul: 'Arc, can you please scan the item I'm holding in my hand?'

After only a second, Moltres opened its eyes as all of its injuries were healed. It looked a Soul and nodded before it flew away.
