Crimson Breeding House

Paul was back to his normal routine. Going for a morning run with Ditto and Eevee, studying with his tutor, then guiding his pokemons on the usage and accuracy of moves. His parents were also doing fine, with Paul noticing their weekend escapades lessening. He was quite happy with that, and time proceeded as usual as it could be when Paul suddenly went hyperactive one morning with a statement from his mom.

"Paul, before I forgot, I remember you wanted to go to the breeding house, right? I recall giving a notice to the staff regarding our visit, and that date is today. Would you like to go?" Mary asked, though she already knew her son's answer.

"Definitely!" Paul beamed. "Wait for me! I'll just go get some stuff to bring and change clothes! Don't go yet!" He shouted while bolting up the stairs to go to his bedroom.

Paul first took out a backpack to put in a camera for pictures, a pen, and a notebook for notes, going to the kitchen for a while to pack some normal type pokemon food for Ditto and Eevee, and their two respective pokeballs. After packing up, Paul went and changed clothes meant for outdoor. He wore a straw made sun hat, a simple white polo shirt, and a beige cargo short. Looking at the mirror, seeing he was presentable, Paul slung the backpack on his shoulders before directly going down the stairs to meet his parents.

When he went down, he saw his parents already wearing their matching outdoor outfits, who was also looking at him expectantly. He smiled and walked through the door with his parents to go to their car. While waiting for his dad to open the car door, he hollered out for his two pokemons and recalled them to their own pokeballs. As he saw his parents smiling at each other on the front of the car, he thought, 'These two love birds are feeding dog food everywhere. Is it even necessary to wear matching outfits when going to their own breeding house!?' Paul internally rolled his eyes.

The car only circled their neighborhood for five minutes before arriving at the breeding house. As he proceeded to go down, he digested the house in front of him. It was a simple but wide villa, with a birch wood sign "Crimson Breeding House" on its front, and long but steady wooden fences surrounding the property. Paul estimates that the breeding house covers around 50 hectares, almost a small city. His parents say that they bought almost 1/8 of the forest near Rustboro City. It costed quite a pinch, but they said it was only a dent on their savings. He could understand that; before, his business was very much on demand thus it gave him more money than he could ever spend in ten lifetimes, the main reason his foundation was established.

Mary and Joseph then led their son inside the villa, where a receptionist came and received them. She was quite a pretty girl with brown hair and eyes, with a fair complexion. It seemed like she was expecting them, thus she greeted them immediately while bowing her head to his parents. After the greetings, she directly led us to the meeting room, where they passed by the wide lobby, and few surrounding rooms that suspiciously looked like the kitchen and infirmary. Further down the villa, they also passed by the nursery areas, egg incubation rooms, and dormitory. Finally, they stopped on a wide corridor, with wide windows where he could see the broad field behind the villa.

'It seems like the meeting room is further inside the villa to ensure privacy.' Paul thought.

As they entered, he was able to see a long wooden table, with people wearing white lab coats sitting on the chairs beside it. There were around 20 people in total, who were sitting down and was looking at them. When his parents entered, all of them stood immediately and greeted while bowing their heads. His dad just smiled and commanded for them to stay at ease, which they did. It's quite nostalgic for Paul as this was somehow similar to his routine in his past life. Shaking his head to get rid of his thoughts, Paul finally realized who the people were. They were the breeders who were hired by his parents to run the breeding house, counting the resident doctor. He immediately greeted them with his wide but childish smile. 'Works like a charm' Paul's mind supplied, as he captured their attention.

After the greeting, Joseph introduced them one by one. Thankfully, Paul's memory was superb; and with the help of the data branch of the system, he was able to memorize their faces and names. Did he mention how helpful the data section of his system is? The [Data] stores information that he acquires real time. Another brilliant feature is that all information that he learned in his past life was also stored and sorted out by the system. It's a big help not only to real life, but also to his studies and his future plans. The system also mentioned on uploading information through computer, but he wasn't able to do that yet. Paul supposes that he'll try it in the future.

Currently, he was talking to the breeder-in-charge, Breeder Barnes, who was introducing to Paul the current species to be found in their breeding house. He was amazed; there was a lot of pokemon species present in the breeding house, and he can't wait to explore and investigate the pokemons out there while scanning them on the way. Surprisingly, there are more than a dozen of species present in the breeding house, specifically 32 species. There are hordes of grass types, bug types, flying types, along with field and canine pokemons.

After talking to the few other breeders regarding how they take care of specific pokemons, Breeder Barnes invited Paul to tour the field of the breeding house, which he excitedly accepted. Now seeing it close up, Paul finally saw the grove of trees at the back, which unexpectedly were Berry Trees. Well, most of them, were berries without any effects, but a lot were also berries that could cure status conditions. Inspecting them closely, he was able to find that the berries that could cure status conditions were surprisingly complete.

'This is an amazing find!' Paul exclaimed in his mind.

As he was investigating the berries, he didn't notice the bug type pokemons curiously checking him out. There were Caterpies, Wurmples, Weedles, Venonats, Scythers, Heracrosses, and Combees, and their respective evolutions present in the Berry Grove. He was quite amazed as he saw that they were protecting the Berry Trees from intruders. Seeing that he has no malice the bug type pokemons called out to him happily.

Petting pokemons here and there, Paul left the grove area and went to the grassy field, but not before scanning the bug type pokemons present. It was not bad, even almost half has Red and Orange Potential, half also has Yellow and Green Potential, with Blue Potential pokemons appearing a little sparsely. It was inevitable as they were bug type pokemons, so they reproduce quickly. He was also able to see the honey farm of the Combees and Beedrills, which looked quite appetizing but also alarming at the same time because of the volume of the bee pokemons.

Going to the grassy field, there he saw pokemons such as Bulbasaurs, Oddishes, Bellsprouts, Hoppips, Budews, and a few more grass type pokemons and their respective species. With shock, Paul was able to see that the initial grass type starters from Kanto to Sinnoh Region were here; specifically, Bulbasaur, Chikorita, Treecko, Turtwig, and their evolutions. He scanned them up, and he was able to see that the potential range was quite good. Few had Red and Orange Potential, while most of them has Yellow or Green Potential. He was also able to find pokemons with Blue Potential sporadically.

Leaving the grassy area, he went to the more barren area which he passed by earlier to see the Berry Trees, he was able to find field and canine pokemons. There were only three species of canine pokemons here though, which in particular were Houndours, Poochyenas, Lilipup and their species. On the other hand, there were plenty of pokemons coming from the field egg group, which were Meowths, Ponytas, Mankeys, Tauros, Miltanks, Skiddos, Mareeps, and their evolutions.

He observed them while they were grazing and running in the field. He was also able to find, which he didn't notice earlier, the flying type pokemons. There were only three kinds though, precisely Pidgeys, Tailows, and Starlys and their species. The observation of the field, canine, and flying type pokemons were the same as the grass types earlier. Few has Red and Orange Potential while most having Yellow and Green ones, while those with Blue Potential appearing occasionally. Though, the Blue Potential pokemons here in the breeding house only has the Light Blue shade. He was only able to find Blue shade on the grass type initial starters of each region.

Overall, the breeding house was very amazing. It looked like a mini eco-system, with bug types responsible for reproducing berries, while canine and field pokemons were protecting the territory. The grass types were boosting the growth of the grass and trees while also absorbing nutrients. Uniquely though, the flying type pokemons were screened, and are taught to not harm any bug type pokemons while protecting the sky of the breeding house. Paul supposes that berries produced from the trees are plenty enough for the pokemons present for them to be quite tame and mild.

This was an educational trip for Paul, and he was able to see more species of pokemons with varying potentials. He was able to determine that most pokemon present spanning from the Rookie and Adept Level, while the leader of each species was around Veteran and Expert Level.

'A new favorite spot to study.' Paul thought as they went home after restocking their supply of Pokemon Food from the breeding house.
