Chapter – 12

Announcer: Amazing folks, Ash Ketchum has done it. he is now advancing to the Top 8 of the Kanto League and we at the Pokémon league will soon bring many other great battle and the next battle for the Semi-final is after a small and.…..

As the announcer was speaking, both trainers could be seen shaking hands and then leaving while ash could be seen with a happy smile, Asunta had a sad smile on her face and could be seen as a heartbroken on not winning even after coming to the quarter-finals/ [Top 8].

Ash POV –

After my battle with Asunta, went to the Pokémon centre and gave my Pokémon to nurse Joy. While I was exiting, someone tackled me and I recognized her by her voice.

Misty: you did it Ash, you won the Quarter finals.

As she said that, she hugged me and so did Brock a second later. After they let me go, mom also hugged me and Meowth also congratulated me.

Mom: oh, honey you have done so well in this tournament. I am so proud of you.

As she said that she hugged me.

Brock: by the way, Ash where is Pikachu I didn't see him at the battle.

Misty: yeah, ash and I didn't even see Charizard what's up with that?

As they asked me that, I got a serious look and told them how the winner of last year Sinnoh League winner is competing in the Kanto League and she already won her Quarter-final match and will face her opponent in the Semi-final tomorrow and that's why both Pikachu and Charizard have decided to go for a last-minute training to prepare. Hearing about it was a quite a shocking for them, and when I showed them the final battle match her Sinnoh League was quite a shocking match. So seeing my seriousness for the battle against her also started to go on some of my strategies and mistakes I could avoid during my next match. Mom later came with some food she made, and I saw some chef talking to mom, about selling her recipe for quite a good amount.

I later even talked to Professor Oak, Cynthia and he gave me some motivation and also told me that Gary just won his Quarter Final against his opponent and they will tell us about our next opponent for the Semi-finals around 8:00 today, and when I checked the time and it was already 7:30 PM, seeing that I went outside and saw Pikachu, Charizard and Chansey coming out of the training ground and waiting for me, I just asked about their training and I got some positive response from them.

Pikachu: Pi Pikachu

Charizard: Charizard

Chansey: Chan Chansey

After that I returned both Charizard and Chasey to their respective Poke-balls and Pikachu got on my shoulders and I went to nurse Joy to see if she could look at all 3 of them for me.

Nurse Joy: sure, Mr. Ketchum that would not be a problem please place your Pokémon's Poke-ball on this tray.

After that I left Pikachu, Charizard and Chansey to Nurse Joy and Left to see who my Opponent is and it is none other than Gary Oak. Seeing that I remembered our promise and saw the half broken poke-ball and clutched it. and according to the host, my match will be tomorrow and Cynthia and her opponent Josh's battle will be held Day after Tomorrow.

After that I went to get some sleep and waited for my battle with my first Rival. Quickly it was morning and I got my 5 poke-balls with me and Pikachu on my shoulders and I was ready for our battle.

As I was in my waiting room, I hear the announcer calling my name.

Announcer: Ash Ketchum, please report in your designated spot, your battle starts in 5 minutes.

As I heard that, I took a deep breath, cooled my nerves and went to the stage and was ready for my battle.

Now let's give a huge applause as both the trainers are here for their battle.

As the announcer said that both trainers came on opposite side the battle arena and so did the referee and the audience was giving applauses and cheering for their favourite trainer.
