20 light on the other side!

The cave was filled with prehistoric pokemon. It was like a live museum!

The next day we started to look for a way out of the cave with guidance from the professor who kinda knows the layout of the caves.

I say kinda because the caves are constantly changing and there's no telling what's up ahead just hope it's something she recognizes.

"How much longer?" I asked if I was getting tired. We've been walking for a good while already.

"We won't reach the exit for another hour if I guessed right."

The professor led the way with the light of the sun hitting the underground chasm. We don't need to use charmander as a light source yet.

"Professor, I've had a question for a while now.."

Jeffery said, speaking of the professor's interest.

"go ahead."

"How did you manage to stay as safe as you are without having any pokemon on you?"

Jeffery asked.

"Now who said I didn't have pokemon?" The professor continued.

She then stopped to show off her pokemon which was a giant dragon-like creature with axes at the sides of its mouth.

I quickly got into my back looking for the pokedex and using it on the pokemon

Haxorus, the Axe Jaw Pokémon. A Dragon type. Haxorus's huge tough fangs can even cut through a thick steel girder. This pokemon usually resides in the unova region.

"woah you're from unova?" I only heard a few rumors of that place, like the huge Faris wheel next to the electric gym or the bridge that goes from there to the next.

I want to visit there someday...

"Yup and this here is my starter pokemon." The professor pets her haxorus a bit. I seemed to enjoy that alot.

"Ok enough distractions we need to keep moving." The professor returned her pokemon in the pokeball and kept walking.

hmmm ... what if..

i aimed at the pokedex and Zorua and her pokedex entry popped up.

Zorua, the Tricky Fox Pokémon. Zorua hides its true form by changing its shape into people and Pokémon, and loves to surprise people.

"So cool.." I whispered

After a while of climbing and squeezing through tight places we've finally reached leveled ground. We all let out a sigh of relief and kept pushing forward.

"I think this is it?" The professor sounded unsure of it all but went up ahead to make sure

We all started back and watched as the professor went through a path.

"What are you guys waiting for?"

When we heard this we followed her almost certain this was the exit and we were right it was the exit.

The light and snow blinded us for a few seconds before we adjusted to it.

"So.. this us where we say goodbye?" The professor stretched out her hand for a handshake from me.

I accepted it and nodded with a smile.

"Thanks for helping us professor."

Eventually me and my friends headed out to Cerulean city.

"Good luck Ayuna..... you'll need it." The professor said silently before heading back into the cave.

"Oi you there!" A girl who was coming from cerulean city stopped us in our path.

Her hair was a dark red and her eyes emerald green. She was just wearing a huge hoodie and shorts. There wasn't anything special.

"how about battle?"

The girl asked to raise a pokeball.

"Sure!" I agreed in a heartbeat to send out my new friend Kabuto!

Kabuto looked ready to battle and so was i..

wait.. what moves does kabuto have-

Quickly before the battle started I used the pokedex and a list of its moves popped up.

"I have no idea how that worked but let's roll with it!" Now I'm actually ready.

"A kabuto huh....." the girl sent out a bulbasaur

"Ok, let's do this."

"Kabuto uses ancient power!" Kabuto started to raise huge rocks from the ground, sending it at bulbasaur.

"Bulbasaur dodge it!" The girl commanded.

As told Bulbasaur dodged all the rocks with relative ease.

"Now use sunny days!"

The place started to get hotter, melting most of the snow in our way.

"Kabuto uses ancient power again!" Sending huge rocks at Bulbasaur again all of them landed direct hits Bulbasuar was sent back but it wasn't out yet.

Kabuto looked like it got stronger with that attack.

"Kabuto use it one more time!!" I shouted.

This win was as good as ours.

The rocks were sent at the Bulbasaur; it looked like he couldn't dodge this one either.

"Bulbasaur! Use solarbeam!!"

The Bulbasaur lets out a beam of light almost immediately, breaking all the Rocks in its way and hitting my Kabuto directly.

Kabuto was unable to battle the winner, Bulbasuar.

I returned to Kabuto.

"Thank god there's a pokemon center nearby..."

I said to myself.

"Hey..." the girl called out to me.

"Great battling ya." She complimented me with a thumbs up.

"yea same to you!" My mood is a lot better now.

"I'm Mindy, nice to meet you."

"I'm Ayuna."

"So where ya headed?" Mindy returned her Bulbasaur.

"To challenge the Cerulean gym. "

" oh. Well I gotta go back to pallet town real quick to get something. Good luck on your battle." She puts her hands into her hoodie pockets and starts to walk off.

"Thanks." i gave a simple answer: i didn't know what else to say in that situation.

"Ok to Cerulean gym, lets go Zorua."

"So gonna ignore the fact that 'mindy' pretended like we did not exist?" Chloe was confused with that conversation that just happened.

"apparently." Jeffery shrugged.

"Are you ready to see him?"

Two people, one with a white hood over their head and a guy with extremely messy hair entered the room.The place was dark. The only light source in the entire room was the tubes countless pokemon were floating in.

Searching through all the test tubes they finally found the one they were looking for.

Ayuna was floating in a tube filled with green liquid.

"Poor kid … didn't even survive the blow to the head." The guy with the hood started to speak.

"So jeffery…what's your choice?"

Jeffery took a minute to think about it before coming to a decision.

"If I join you guys…. You'll reverse this?"

"Of course." The hooded grunt reassured him.

"We'll keep our end if you keep yours."

He stretched out his hand for a handshake to seal the deal.. but when Jeffery took it he felt like he was making a deal with the devil.
