Messing Around With Corruptor

"Jeez and Aegis, what's taking my parents so long to return!" I complained, sitting on top of a huge rock. "You know if this was someone else they would've long since ran away especially when I have already left the developing stage, or whatever growing up is,"

*sigh*

"What to do," I don't feel like grinding, and I'm fed up training my Aura and Clairvoyance, especially when I know I won't be able to improve it just yet. Corruptor it is then.

Corruptor doesn't have or at least has not shown any combat uses. The beginner stage allows the one to see and absorb the energy, seeing wasn't too difficult when you're practically the manifestation of envy. As for absorbing...

[Corruptor has advanced to Mid-Beginner]

Not that hard, would just absorbing my own negative energy be enough for advancing?

[Corruptor has advanced to High-Beginner]

And not long after.

[Corruptor has advanced to Peak-Beginner]

I guess I underestimated myself, I'm a living generator of envy. Now enter Intermediate and let me try something else... Oh, I should also try to move while absorbing.

...

An hour later I hit Low-Intermediate while training some moves.

"That makes 10 hours," I muttered looking at the sunset. It has been 10 hours since I was left here, I doubt a battle like that takes so long. So either they're dead or what? forgot got me? Ignoring my build-up anxiety. System, what can I do in this stage?

[Answer: Enhance negative emotions]

And what classifies as negative emotions, obviously the sins are, but anything else?

[Answer: Despair, Regret, Sorrow, Sadness, Fear, etc. Pretty much non-positive reactions]

Since we're on this topic, what's the opposite ability of Corruptor and the sinful devils?

[Answer: NULL]

Huh? How come?

[Answer: There is no existing ability that specifically involves these things]

Reason?

[Answer: System got this knowledge from a database, therefore does not know why]

Forget this foreshadowing topic then, let's move back to Corruptor. I can guess that I need to release Negative energy into the target for the corruption to occur, but what about the emotion I desire to be enhanced?

[Answer: Trial and Error]

"Tsk," I guess I can always experiment on some rats.

...

I'm back in a Raticate's territory, the strongest Pokemon here is 2 Senior Pokemons while the rest are Juniors with one close to Senior. Now I'm surrounded by a group of 12 Raticates, lovely.

Teleporting on top of a tree, I was confused about how I should release Negative energy. Do I like, create a beam, touch the target, or use my eyes as the catalyst... Beam first, I guess.

"Corruption beam," I chanted, Negative energy gathered at the tip of my finger and shot forward, not even an inch distance off my finger or disintegrated.

[Negative energy is a supportive type of energy, it requires a vessel/catalyst for effects to come forth. Negative energy can't last long outside life without a large abundance of it present]

So then using my eyes would likely fail too, unless I'm using the negative energy for a charm effect.

*shakes*

The 2 Raticates began to shake the tree heavily in hopes of making me fall. Jokes on you, I'm quite focused on my goals...

"Hey, don't bite the tree," I complained, I threw out a Thunderbolt with Negative energy, hitting one of the Raticates, sadly the Negative Energy had disappeared not long after Thunderbolt was shot out.

So I would be forced to go down huh... no pressure. Jumping off the tree, I pushed the 2 Raticates away with Psychic and quickly slammed my fist into the other one's head, letting my Negative energy ooze right into the Raticate's body.

The Raticate quickly ran away from me frightened, yet Raticates body was releasing large amounts of Negative energy, to be precise, Envy. Raticate ran behind their boss fearfully.

So is that Raticate envyful of me? And is it because of my lack of control that the emotion affecting Raticate was envy?

[Answer: For the first question, watch and see, and as for the second question, you're correct]

"Don't you see where I am? I'm in your territory, stop watching me, and let's battle it out!" I shouted. What did I expect from rats?

The leader stood in front of the group while all the other Raticates stood a distance behind him, except the envy-influenced one. Ahh, I'm starting to see what he's going to do.

"May you please leave our territory," the Raticate boss asked.

"Amm, no," I said. I never expected someone to ask me to leave peacefully, which is surprising, but this won't change my decision. "I can't grow stronger without beating you fools," I explained. Using Psychic, I locked the Raticate in place and turned my gaze to the Raticate behind the boss.

"What are you waiting for? Just do it!" I urged the Raticate. The other Raticates got angry and were ready to charge at me, but I had already prepared a move for them. Vine Whips burst out of the ground from my earlier used Nature Power and began attacking the Raticates who Scratch and Bite the Vine Whips to pieces.

It won't take them long to tear that through, but if I put all my focus into Psychic this Raticate although lower level than the boss, should still be able to win. The Raticate quickly realized this but still hesitated.

"Defeat him and tribute 5 Rattatas to me and I won't mess with your family and help secure your position," I persuaded. Secure his position as my slave by the way and let's add a temporary in that too.

Raticate eyes shone brightly and pounced on its boss, biting tightly onto the boss' neck with Super Fang.

Envy is really scary when seen from another perspective. Unlike Greed in which you want to obtain the thing that you greed over, those who Envy something tend to destroy the object or person they envy. Of course, they may also use that envy to grow as a person, but these kind of things are rare.

I do barely follow the latter and that's usually if that person is on my 'not to kill' list. Just like most, I would often destroy those people I envied, and in case you're not aware, I wouldn't regret my decision.

Though my envy had greatly weakened since reincarnating... No, this isn't time for this, I got a battle to own.

***

Well, this is just my opinion on envy and why I felt nullification would be the best ability for Envyful Devil.
