"Go Milotic!" Evan also switched to Milotic for the second half. The two send out their Pokémon at the same time.

"Milotic use hydro pump!"

"Combusken is unable to battle Milotic wins, and the victor of the match is Evan!" The referee announced.

After Metagross was defeated, Cherryl's Camerupt,Nidoqueen and Combusken were all unable to battle which means Evan successfully entered Top 8.

Cherryl wasn't like Kentaro who lose spirit after being defeated, instead Cherry was inspired to train more in order to have a great fight if they ever meet again.

Evan smiled looking at the strong trainer, although her appearance was like she could cry anytime but she didn't instead showed a fierce look.

Finally, Evan advanced to Top 8,but he did not leave and decided to watch Ash and Morrison's battle.

"Congratulations Evan you won again!" Ash and others rushed towards Evan and congratulated him.

After congratulating Evan, Ash went to the battlefield since the second match was between him and Morrison.

After Evan won his match, Ash went to the battlefield and his opponent was his good friend Morrison who had been with him along the way.

Compared to Ash, it was Morrison's first time participating in such a large scale tournament

Morrison was hesistant to battle with his friend he just made and couldn't get motivated himself to fight against Ash.

"Trainer Morrison lost his first Pokémon without a successful half attack" Even the commentator began to complain.

Morrison was unmoved, he just gritted his teeth and stood up there without sending his second Pokémon, if he keeps struggling like this the referee may directly judged him as forfeiting.

"Victory and friendship, might be hard on Morrison" Evan sighed slightly.

Just when the referee was about to judge, Ash stopped the referee. Looking at the encouraging eyes of Ash, Morrison was having a hard time. Gritting his teeth he send out his Growlithe but Morrison chose to keep dodging and eventually Ash defeated Morrison's second Pokémon.

"Morrison I know you can fight better! What's wrong with you?" Ash was also getting annoyed.

"But-!!" Morrison was still hesitating.

"Your Pokémon is so pitiful, if you don't wanna fight you might as well not participate in a competition!" Ash didn't want to battle such kind of match without any experience.

After Ash told him to forfeit, Morrison regained his spirit. Morrison send out his Swampert directly defeating Corphish.

From the beginning to the present, Morisson has created a huge gap of 3-1 difference, which can be said am overwhelming disadvantage for Morrison.

However during the intermission, Morrison still came to apologize to Ash for his naivety which he almost failed his friend's expectations.

The second half continued on grass field. And the awakened Morrison defeated Pikachu and Torkoal directly with Steelix.

Now the two sides are on the same starting line again.

Ash then sends out his Sceptile and defeated Steelix, Morrison sent his Gligar and Ash decided to substitute it with Swellow to fight in the air.

The situation turned into an air battle between Swellow and Gligar, Swellow and Gligar's steel wing collided continuously, eventually making both Swellow and Gligar lose the ability to battle.

The last Pokémon of Morrison is Metang, and Ash send out his Glalie. And there was no tactics at all on head to head.

After a while Glalie's headbutt successfully defeated Metang. Security the seat of top 8 for Ash.
