Breaking through the qualifier round of the Hoenn league, Evan, Ash and their rivals successfully advanced to the victory tournament.

After spending a day with Steven and the others, the battle from top 32 to top 16 officially begins.The main stadium of the Ever grande championship,Hoenn league was filled with crowd of people eagerly looking forward to a Pokémon battle with cheers, and the Victory tournament officially started.

The victory tournament or the final rounds are a series of Full Battles with the Top 32 Trainers participating in the standard sudden-death tournament style. The theme of the battlefield is randomly chosen before each match from four different possibilities: rock, water, grass, and ice. After a Trainer's first three Pokémon are defeated, there is a short intermission during which there is a field change.

The winner of the Ever Grande Conference is the Trainer that wins all of the final rounds, meaning they must win five Full Battles in a row. When a winner has been decided, that winner is awarded a gold trophy from Mr. Goodshow.

In the first match, top 32 to 16 of final round Ash will battle against Katie.

"What kind of trainer is the opponent?" May asked curiously.

"Let me check, I've collected all the information of beauties from the conference!" Brock said as he took out his notebook.

And as Evan expected she directly substitute Venomoth with Golduck and hydro pump directly took away Torkoal directly.

Ash took back his Torkoal and send out his best buddy Pikachu but his opponent Katie chose to substitute again with Dugtrio.

As Pikachu was facing an unfavourable Pokémon, Pikachu lose.

"Pikachu lose, it's going to be tough!" Brock started to worry, Morrison was also getting anxious looking at his rival who was loosing.

Ash then sent out his third Pokémon Glalie and took dugtrio down.

Unexpectedly, Katie used a trick of destiny bond with her fourth Pokémon Misdreavous pulling Glalie with him.

"She is really a tricky trainer!" Evan curled his lips looking at Katie who asked her Pokémon to suicide in order to take Glalie down.

In this way Ash lose his three Pokémon whereas her Pokémon lose two.

After the intermission when the battlefield changed to water field, Ash regained his strength.

The second half on the water field, Ash's Corphish against Golduck. The opponent underestimated the power of Corphish and asked to use fury swipes on Corphish to fight against crab hammer head on. In the end Golduck was his on his head causing Katie to lose her third Pokémon.

Katie then sent out her Venomoth again and Ash sent his Swellow to fight, Swellow defeated Venomoth easily. Then Katie sent her fifth Pokémon Scizor, it was battle of dexterity between Swellow and Scizor unfortunately Scizor still lose to Swellow.

In the end, Katie's Trump card Walrein appeared on the battlefield, defeating Swellow and Corphish consecutively. Ash's finally sent out his Sceptile who can be said to be strongest among his Hoenn Pokémon.

In the end Ash won the thilling match advancing to Top 16.

"The next match is mine" Evan stood up and went to the stage.

The battlefield was reorganized and Evan's opponent also came forward to the Challenger's ring.

After Evan's battle,they watched the battle of Morrison and Tyson and they also successfully advanced to top 16,it was already noon so Evan and Steven bid farewell to everyone and went to Evan's dormitory to rest,as tomorrow the top 16 match will begin.
