14 Manager and his assistants

A few moments ago before Charizard wreaked havoc outside the mountain, inside the Team Rockets base where they keep the prisoners and hostages.

A man with unkept purple hair was clutching his stomach, his face was battered and bruised with blood seeping out of his mouth.

"Just keep on beating me but please don't hurt Jessie," James said in a trembling voice.

The grunt sneered and smacked James back using a whip making him fall face-first on the floor, "How touching you two traitors dare make requests? Hah! if it wasn't for your connection with the base Commander Butch we would've already enjoyed your tasty girlfriend."

James clenched his fist hearing the grunts speech and wanted to rip him into pieces but he could only endure and take the beating and humiliation so that Jessie won't be treated badly.

*BOOM!*

All of a sudden the entire base trembled, the grunt checked his communication device and found out that they were currently under attack not wanting to waste any more time the grunt left leaving James behind.

In a different prison cell, a woman with long pink hair was strapped against the wall her long hair covered her face and you could see scratches across her body.

"Just do what you want with me but don't you lay your hands on James!" Jessie said towards the woman holding a scalpel.

The woman laughed and pointed the scalpel on Jessie's face, "What a feisty one, I am really curious if you will look prettier if I slash your cheeks with this scalpel."

Jessie sneered and replied with a savage look on her face, "Do whatever you wish but remember that there will be a day that I will take revenge on you monsters!"

"Hahahahaha!!!" The female grunt laugh when all of a sudden the ground trembled and the wall of the prison cell crumbled.

"Don't worry Jessie, that revenge will be fulfilled today." A feline pokemon spoke while clenching her paws staring angrily at the female grunt.

Jessie stared at the familiar pokemon and smiled, "Took you long enough Meowth."

"What are you doing here?! you dare trespass the Team Rocket's base!" The female grunt shouted and released her pokemon Marowak.

But as soon as Marowak was released it suddenly stared behind Meowth and trembled in fear, the female grunt looked at Marowak in confusion then followed it's line of sight only to see a fear-inducing pair of eyes behind Meowth making her legs soft and fell down fainting.

"You can continue your reunion later and get moving." A cold voice resounded in the cell.

Jessie glanced at where the voice came from and stared at Ash in confusion, she couldn't recognize the man because a black mask was covering 3/4 of his face.

Meowth immediately took action and remove Jessie's handcuffs and said, "I'll explain it later, we should move quickly and save James."

Jessie nodded and pointed at the end of the hall, "That's where they keep James."

Charizard stared at the direction of the cell and stomped his foot making the entire wall crumble showing a fainted man on the floor.

"James!" Jessie ran towards her lover and checked his condition, she then sighed in relief when she was sure that James was still alive.

Meowth then approached his two friends along with the newly summoned Garchomp, Ash then patted Charizard's back and commanded for them to leave. Garchomp then carried Meowth, Jessie, and James on his back and followed behind Charizard out of the mountain making the rescue a success.

In the deepest part of the base where four strong pokemons were guarding a huge steel door, Alakazam appeared shocking the four pokemon. They were about to launch an attack on Alakazam when suddenly all four of them simultaneously fell asleep.

Alakazam then approached the steel door, after confirming that it was the treasure vault of team rocket Alakazam wrapped the entire vault with his aura and teleported out the of base with the vault in tow.

Inside a huge villa, a middle-aged man was sitting on his desk while massaging his Persian that was on his lap when his phone rang.

"What is it?" The middle-aged man asked picking up the phone.

A panicked voice could be heard on the other side of the phone, "Boss, our base in the outskirts of Lavender Town got destroyed a few minutes ago by a Charizard and massacred our platoon stationed on that base, we also received a report that a man wearing a black mask was riding on top the Charizard and a Meowth beside him. they then went straight towards the prison cells and took the traitors Jessie and James with them."

*Crashed!*

Giovanni destroyed the phone with his fist and a serious look appeared on his face, 'Who on earth helped those idiotic trio?! do they have a strong backing? maybe, they were from James's family and were the ones who helped them escape.' Giovanni started thinking of every possible reason why his base was targeted, he also knew how scary James background was and thought that they were the ones responsible for the attack.

Shaking his head in frustration he decided to investigate this properly and not let anything slip lest his plans will be compromised.

On a deserted island east of Lavender Town, a huge Charizard and Garchomp landed simultaneously a few moments later an Alakazam with a huge vault floating behind him also arrived and landed beside the two other pokemon.

Ash hopped down and approached the vault, he punched the look and opened it and saw huge chunks of gold bars and diamonds stored inside. A huge smile appeared on Ash's face as he told Alakazam to take good care of the vault or else he will be "trained" by Bayleef.

He then turned his attention towards the Meowth and Jessie who were attending James at the side, "Is his life in danger" Ash asked.

Jessie looked at the masked man and shook her head saying, "He is just unconscious, but we need to bring him to the hospital to see if he has any internal bleeding or fractured bones."

She then stood up and bowed towards Ash, "Thank you so much for helping us escape that hell."

Ash smirked and replied, "To think the evil Team Rocket Jessie will one day bow her head towards me." he then took off his mask shocking Jessie to the core.

"Twerp?!" Jessie exclaimed while pointing at Ash.

"Hey, that isn't how you call your savior right?" Ash said in a helpless tone.

Jessie bowed her head again and apologized, "I'm sorry for the rude remark Ash, Thank you again for saving us. I didn't expect that you will be the one who saved us knowing our past relationship with each other."

Ash waved his head gesturing her not to mind the small things and said, "Let's first bring James to the nearest hospital and don't worry about Team Rocket or the hospital because I just robbed their entire vault, Hahahahaha!"

Meowth and Jessie looked at Ash weirdly and thought, "Did our roles change? is he the bad guy now?"

The group then brought James to Fuschia City where he was immediately rushed to the hospital.

Inside the hospital lounge, Ash was drinking his coffee when Meowth approached him, "Ash, I don't how to thank you. but in the future, if you have any requests I'll be sure to do my best just to achieve it."

Ash took a sip of his coffee and replied resting his head behind the steel chair, "You see Meowth, I just got a shit ton of treasures and I need someone to be my treasurer or let's say manager and I think that you fit that role really well."

Meowth looked at Ash with tears in his eyes and didn't know what to say, he lowered his head and replied, "Don't you worry Ash! I will surely do my very best as your manager so leave all those miscellaneous tasks to me. and is it okay for me to hire Jessie and James as my assistants? you see being a manager is really tough and I need someone to help me on the sidelines seeing how strong you are you'll surely be popular in the future making my work a little hard if I am all alone." Meowth said without a hint of embarrassment, he knew that he needed to take this opportunity to help his two friends, and being with Ash is the best choice they will ever have seeing how strong he is.

Ash laughed and nodded his head, "That's possible, you should go and tell them about the decision you made on their behalf, I'll visit a hotel first and take some rest."

Meowth bowed his head and left making his way towards James's room.
