50 The incident back in 99'

(At an undisclosed time back in the lighthouse)

[Welcome everybody to your new favorite show, made by Pokemon for Pokemon, I'm Abra, and my co-host, is senior brother Alakazam in our Show, Are You Courting Death.] Abra said while also sitting in front of a microphone.

[I did not agree with that name] Alakazam said.

[How shameless of you elder brother. Anyway, I'm Abra, your favorite new Elder sister, our goal is to surpass the number one show, Second Chansies. How about you elder brother do you have anything to say?]

[I did not consent to be here. This child broke into my home and won't leave unless I do this with her, she is weird.] Alakazam sounding tired

[Silly Elder brother, how will you ever break through the Golden Core stage and ascend to Nascent Soul.] Abra said like that meant something.

[What does that mean? I have a combined IQ of multiple researchers and I still don't understand you, what does any of this mean why are you even here!] Alakazam said starting to have a mental breakdown listening to these random words.

[Ahh thank you for reminding me, senior brother. I have brought a special guest to this show to talk about his adventures. Welcome my elder brother Pikachu.] Abra said before disappearing and bringing Pikachu who had a bottle of ketchup in his hands.

[What, where am I? How am I? Why am I?] Pikachu said before noticing the weird girl, [Oh it's you, What do you want this time?]

[Yes, Senior brother, we wanted you to talk about yourself and what is happening right now, how is Master having us do?] Abra said.

[What- you mean *Blep*] Pikachu said.

[Hey editor blep that, don't want to do the poor kid he already has to deal with this abomination.] Alakazam said, talking into one of the sides.

[Ok, if that is the case currently we are training to fight the third Gym leader, though today was my rest day, and yet I'm here.] Pikachu said, his cheeks lighting up a bit.

[Well how confident are you in winning then?] Alakazam asked continuing questions.

[Well it's hard to say right now I guess my trainer is working hard to help us but he still seems stressed on how to win.]

[Alright few more questions then you're free to go, Why do you sound like that, You're a guy, right? Why do you sound like a 3-year-old who breathed in helium.]

[It's a crippling medical condition.] Pikachu said, looking down in a corner.

[Well senior brother my turn, Why is it that your mana core is acting strange, It's as if it is trying to break out of the bone tempering stage and jump to the imperfect thunder core stage yet it returns to the skin hardening stage.] Abra says.

[What?]

[I think she means why does it look like the electricity in your body got destroyed, put back together, ripped out of your body, and replaced multiple times.] Alakazam explained how to get this over with.

Pikachu heard this and looked into the corner of the room and started having Vietnam flashbacks to his time in Team Rocket. As the two Pokemon were going to call to him Pikachu started lighting up and filling the room with lightning.

-Technical difficulties-

Abra teleported to another room with a mic, [Well this is where we will end this episode of, Are You Courting Death. If there is someone you want us to bring on the show just comment on it, and if you have a question for your favorite elder sister level below we will answer it, but for now, my senior brothers need the help of their amazing junior sister]

The show turned off.

(Back to normal time)

"What, do you think we can, didn't she say she was going to follow her research with her father at the Academy?" Yellow answered.

"Sure, we can go and surprise her. She always said that she wanted to introduce us to her academy. Let's look at the Lab and then the school." Ash said.

Yellow was easily convinced to go see one of her friends, "Alright let's go!"

All of the Pokemon were returned except Pikachu obviously, but also Clefairy who still wanted to jump around.

Ash and Yellow started walking and the Lab was pretty easy to find, it was probably the 3rd most popular spot in the city so it didn't take long to reach the building.

When they got in they were met by two researchers working in the lab. There is an average-sized man with messy yellow hair and fair skin. He wears a white lab coat, a yellow t-shirt with a light blue rectangle in the middle which sports the picture of a Magnemite, red pants, and gray shoes with a blue stripe on each of them.

The second is an average-sized adult woman with indigo hair and fair skin. She wears a white lab coat, a green office shirt, a charcoal black skirt, and black pump heels.

It was Ren and Chrysa, though once you looked closely they weren't doing research they were cleaning the aftermath of a prank from something.

'Yeah that lonely man-child is still running rampant, well whatever. If I see it I'll catch it. If not then it's their problem.' Ash thought as he got the attention of the two which made Ren drop some paper he was picking up.

"Sorry about startling you," Ash said before going over to help with the mess, Yellow had already helping since she entered the room.

"Oh no it's fine, but you don't have to help," Ren said before Chrysa put her hand on his shoulder.

"Thank you we appreciate it, This has been happening more frequently as of late, it seems that our prankster came back," Chrysa explained as they continued training.

"Well I can understand I know someone who would always play some sort of prank," Ash said referring to how Barry always acted, "I'm Ash by the way, This Is Pikachu, Clefairy, and Yellow."

"Hi, nice to meet you," Yellow said, handing some fallen papers to Chrysa.

"Oh how rude of us we haven't introduced ourselves, I'm Chrysa"

"I'm Ren and this is my friend, Francois," Ron said as a Magnemite appeared.

After they finished cleaning Ren approached the two and asked, "So what brings you two here to the laboratory?"

"We are looking for Professor Cerise and Chloe," Ash explained.

"Oh, are you friends of Chloe?" Chrysa asked as she approached the two.

"Yep, we both went to School with her" Yellow answered with a jump in her step.

"I wondered why your names sounded familiar, Chloe has told us about both of you, she is currently at the Academy, however, Professor Cerise is currently away, he went to investigate Diglett tunnel, specifically why only Digletts are found there," Chrysa said.

"Alright, we'll go see if we can find her, Good luck with your prankster," Ash said

"Alright, again thank you for the help. I hope you can meet up with her." Chrysa said as she waved to them as they started walking off.

As they were walking Ash turned back and saw a certain large round manchild staring at him as he was walking off. Ash smiled at him and walked off, he could also feel it trying to get into his shadow but he just pushed him out with Aura and left him behind.

'Not my problem.'

After a little walking, they got to the school, They also passed Chloe's house and saw a Yellow dog sleeping at the front door, but of course, he shouldn't know it was her house so he ignored it.

Walking in they started looking around and saw the interior of the school they saw that classes just finished and students in uniform started pouring out of the classrooms, after some help by looking through all the Aura of the people he eventually saw a familiar aura, well 2 but he was trying to avoid the second one.

Looking around the area they saw the Maroon-haired girl talking to some friends.

"I told you already, I only took classes in Pokemon research to help my dad, I still am not 100% sure what I want to do," Chloe said to a blue-haired girl.

"Well then why did you leave? You could have easily stayed in Pallet for a few more years to continue studying something, yet you come back to learn under the professors here." the other girl says.

Before Chloe could defend herself Ash pulled out a fake beard and a fedora and approached them, "Well well well, look who we have here,"

"Um, do I know you?" Chloe asked.

"So you're going by Chloe now, well No matter I remember the crimes you did in Pallet back in 99', You thought you could get rid of me but I Came Back."

"What, what are you talking about, and who even are you?" Chloe asked as her friends took a step back.

"Oh you don't remember me well it is to be expected after what you did," Ash pulled off the fake beard and with a smile, he announced, "It is I, Ash"

Chloe looked like her systems crashed before coming back to reality, "Oh it's just you, what are you doing here and what were you talking about the incident of 99'."

"It was just a joke, and I was here and I came to see you," Ash said as he gave the beard to Clefairy who put it on.

Chloe's friends misunderstood the situation, "Chloe, you didn't tell us you were dating someone, or was the incident that you broke his heart."

"What no, I don't have a boyfriend," Chloe said with a blush.

"No need to be shy Chloe, we will give you two some space, See you tomorrow," The blue-haired girl said as they ran off.

"They seem nice," Ash said.

Chloe turned back to Ash, "What are you doing here?"

"Like I said we came to visit you here,"

"What do you mean we?"

Ash motioned for Yellow to approach and when she did, "Hi Chloe, it's been a while hasn't it."

"What, Yellow, what are you doing here, weren't you going to stay in your hometown?" Chloe asked.

"Well I was then I ran into Ash and he invited me to join him and here we are," Yellow said.

"Ok, so why are you here?"

"I came to challenge Surge what else," Ash answered.

"Really, you know his reputation right?"

"Of course, I do, Why do you think I didn't jump face first to battle him," Ash said They were all talking and walking at the same time.

"Well I guess that's fine, so when are you going to go battle him?"

"Probably tomorrow, Gary scheduled all of today to battle Surge, he is already at a few losses too."

"Well then good luck I guess, You'll probably need it," Chloe said.

"Woooww such little faith in me, Yellow you talk to this traitor I can't even look at her," Ash said in an over-dramatic way.

"So Chloe how have you been since you left Pallet." Yellow started the conversation which eventually led to gossip.

"By the way Chloe, where is Goh, did he start his adventure?" Ash said already knew half of the answer.

"Well remember when we met that Pokemon on the summer trip, basically Goh got so obsessed over it he got held back a year for focusing on studying anything and everything about it."

Ash had to hold himself back from laughing, "Serves him right that means I don't have to deal with him for at least the next 7 years."

Eventually, they got to the stairs to Chloe's house and she was greeted by the small Yamper jumping on her and Chloe's mother, Talia.

"Hello, Chloe friends of yours," Talia asked.

"Yes, this is Ash and Yellow from when I went to Pallet remember." Chloe introduced them.

"Oh yes Chloe has told us all about you two, would you like to join us for dinner." Talia offered.

Chloe immediately stepped in, "W-wait Mom you can't be serious we can't hold them up I mean they are traveling Kanto so they must be busy, and Ash was going to challenge LT. Surge tomorrow,"

"We appreciate the offer, but Chloe is right it is getting late and we don't want to be a bother, and besides I do have to prepare to win against the Lieutenant, maybe another time," Ash answered with a bow.

"Well that is a shame but I suppose it can't be helped, Have a good evening and good luck against Surge, no matter how many times it takes you," Talia said.

"Thank you, and I promise I'll win on my first try," Ash said as both him and Yellow walked back to the Pokemon center.

"They seem like nice People," Talia said.

"Yeah, they are."
