90 Mystery at Maiden's Peak

So before you guys start celebrating over an extra chapter, I am mainly uploading this since tomorrow I have my first final exam, so I'm not sure if I will be able to do it tomorrow, if I have the time I might be able to bring another chapter but don't get your hopes up.

A few days passed since they started walking again, the road they took was different from the ideal path, but they were doing this for the journey, and they had no time limits, except for the bet Ash made but he wasn't panicking about it, not because of arrogance, but because Fuchsia was much farther away than Celadon, and if Gary wanted to fight Sabrina….good luck.

Speaking of that hot crazy girl, he knows almost nothing about her since unlike every other gym leader her matches aren't let out for the public, heck Ash isn't even sure she is the Gym leader, she had a dad in the anime maybe he is doing stuff, anyway Ash needs some prep time before going against her.

Anyway on the road Ash did more training and set up a new training schedule for his Pokemon since it has been a bit since they did his specialized training, especially his two birds.

So a quick reminder and update of the training regiment was:

-Pikachu, Victreebel, Vileplume, Nidorino, Bulbasaur, Wartortle, and Charizard would work on special Attack, Victreebel and Charizard specifically worked on it instead of the other one since despite the fact they were Mixed attackers they could compensate with things like Swords Dance and Dragon Dance.

-Pikachu, Fearow, Pidgeotto, Poliwrath, Beedrill, Gyarados, Scyther, Machoke, and Wartortle would work on Physical Attack.

-Wartortle, Bulbasaur, and Poliwrath would work on defense and HP.

-Followed by a marathon for Speed Evs, and to help in stamina.

-All of which would be under Clefairy's Gravity, then they would all be healed, and Ash and Yellow could help with that now.

Speaking of which everyone else did their own training, (A/N should I also add the companions training, since they would also do their own training.)

Then Ash would hand out their specially made Pokeblocks for each of them, followed by training to control their specific element, then another Pokeblock.

Clefairy and Abra just sat in a corner eating snacks since they didn't need to train.

As for progress, they were getting stronger but Ash didn't teach them new moves yet, and ever since Ash told Gyarados he could fly he has been trying to lift off into the sky, but as of now, he could only float maybe 2 feet off the ground.

Also speaking of which Misty's Gyarados seemed to have an interest in Ash's, whether it be a crush or admiration, Ash couldn't really tell with the big snakes that constantly looked angry.

But anyway all that happened and there were no setbacks along the road until they finally saw Maiden's Peak, at least the mountain.

"There it is, Maiden's Peak, and we made it just in time, it seems like they are putting the finishing details!" Misty yelled out in excitement.

"Yeah and that must be the most beautiful mountain I've ever seen, I wish I could see the woman she was based on." Brock swooned over the rock.

Ash was also staring at Brock and the mountain, and to his surprise and suspicion he didn't see anything, there was no mirage of a woman, so Brock was normal, well normal for him.

When they finally got inside the town they started looking around, "So what should we do, we never had any festivals back home, so shou-" Yellow said as Misty suddenly stopped her.

"Wait, you've never been to a festival?! That is unacceptable. We need to get the full experience for you!" Misty yelled out.

"Um Ok then, so what should we do first since you're the expert," Brock asked as he crossed his arms.

"Well in case you haven't seen, the people here have something distinctly different from us, can you tell what?"

"They don't have a girl Yelling into the air?" Ash said sarcastically as Pikachu nodded on his shoulder.

"Not everyone has kimonos, so let's all get kimonos!" Misty yelled as she punched the air.

(✪ω✪) Yellow nodded along losing to Misty.

Then the two girls marched over to a stall, meanwhile, Brock and Ash looked at each other and both shrugged, so they went over to get ones for themselves.

About 30 minutes later Brock and Ash were waiting for Misty and Yellow, they both were wearing kimonos, Brock had a plain Green one with a Black belt, meanwhile, Ash had a white kimono with orange flowers and a black belt.

Then they finally heard a familiar voice, "Hey guys over here!"

Looking behind them they saw Misty waving over at them, she had a pink kimono with pink flowers, and she also put her hair down. Meanwhile Yellow was fidgeting behind her wearing an orange kimono with flowers on it, she also had her hair done.

"*Whistle* You guys look good, those Kimonos suit you," Ash said, making Misty slightly blush and Yellow hide her face.

"No this isn't much, speaking of which I didn't expect you guys to clean up so well, I half expected you two to be wearing Bathrobes," Missy Jabed back.

"No Ash is right you two look good, but who did Yellow's hair?" Brock asked.

"Oh there was this nice old lady who offered to do both of our hair, but I told her just to do Yellow's so we wouldn't keep you two waiting, also I think my hair is a little too short," Misty explained.

"Well it looks nice," Ash said with a smile, making Yellow hide behind Misty again.

'This is too easy, and way too fun' Ash thought.

"Anyway, what should we do now then, Mis. Festival expert." Brock said jokingly.

"Alright then let's go grab candy apples and hop on the Ferris wheel," Misty said as she grabbed Ash and Brock by the wrist and pulled them along, Yellow quickly followed.

As they were doing that a shadowy figure was looking down on the town next to the stone, it saw the town and un-fogged itself and formed a giant Haunter. Though this one had a much spikier appearance than regular Haunter and its claws and teeth appear sharper

"I rest for a few years in that accursed tower, and these Humans are getting more bold, well I suppose I need to remind them that their GOD should not be ignored, Jejejeje!" the Haunter said as he put his hand on the face of the statue of the Maiden and crushed it as he laughed maniacally.

In the Saffron Gym, Sabrina was floating in a room meditating, when suddenly she felt a shock hit her, like something she wanted to forget came back to hit her like a bat, she fell onto her knees and was breathing heavily.

As soon as she fell to the floor a few people ran into the room, "Ms.Sabrina are you ok!" These people could be considered students, maybe apprentices, they were fellow psychics who came to her. 

When they came to her she was hesitant to accept anyone, but they were insistent on becoming her students, so she reluctantly accepted them, and over time they helped her to not go crazy, and eventually she had to commission an entirely new building as more psychics came to join.

Originally when she was born she had these psychic powers, by the age of 3 she could bend spoons by 5 she could teleport, and by 10 she could do most of the things an Alakazam could do, and she was glad to use these powers for everyone, until one day something happened, when she was 11 a Black fog took her and some of her friends away to the Pokémon Tower, only she came back and was never the same, it was 5 years since that day and she finally felt that same feeling.

Usually, Sabrina stays quiet and when talking to her apprentices she hardly ever uses her mouth to speak, but this time she said, "I need to go to Maiden's Peak."

Σ(°△°|||) Everyone looked shocked seeing Sabrina talk. One boy stepped up, "Ms.Sabrina forgive me, but what do you mean, for what reason could you possibly need to travel outside of the city?!"

"It is not something you should concern yourselves with, just go back and focus on your training, I need to settle some unfinished business," Sabrina said in a cold tone.

The apprentice took a step back and bowed, "Yes of course."

Sabrina looked over at some of the girls, "You all follow me, I need my Kimono,"

A few hours have passed since the last time the gang started enjoying the festivities, Brock left to go flirt with the dancers, meanwhile the rest of them were currently at the stalls and Misty was forcing Ash to replenish her supply of Plushies that she lost on the S.S. Anne.

And like all the games the games were impossible to win, unless you cheated which he did. By the time Misty was satisfied with the amount of Plushies, Ash's picture was on most of the game stalls preventing him from playing anymore.

"I ask this again, have you no dignity woman," Ash mumbled loud enough for Misty to hear him.

"Dignity, what is that, can you eat it?" Misty said shamelessly.

Ash held his forehead, "Yare yare daze, whatever what do you guys want to do now? Most of the other stuff isn't going to start until nighttime, and you already got me banned from most of the stalls.

As they were walking they were waved over by an old woman, Misty and Yellow recognized her and walked over, so Ash followed along.

"Hello you two, how have you been enjoying the festival? It's rare to find such young and pretty girls such as yourselves coming to this little village, so you must be the talk of the town right now." The old woman said with a kind smile

Then the old woman looked over at Ash and looked him up and down curiously, before also looking at Yellow and looked a bit worried, but quickly composed herself, "And who is this strapping young lad, he reminds me so much of my son when he was younger."

Ash put on a smile as well, "Hello I'm Ash nice to meet you, I heard you did Yellow's hair for her, it looks great you have my thanks."

"Such a nice young man," the old woman said solemnly, "Tell me do you all plan to stay here overnight."

"Yeah, why not, if the celebrations continue then we'll stay here and party all night," Misty jumped in.

"I don't suppose this old woman can convince you to leave," the old lady said.

Everyone looked confused at her words, "Why do you say that?"

"Well I hope you won't mind an old woman telling you a story, will you?" she said.

"Sure why not"

"Well then I must tell you the story of the Black Fog, in ancient times people saw it as a Legendary Pokemon, and people would worship it and bring tribute, but for those who didn't or went against it, the Black Fog would use its special Dream Eater attack, and eat their souls."

"Many Pokemon and People were taken by that monster, but its favorite treat was people born with special abilities."

As he said that Ash raised his eyebrow wondering if she knew, "So what happened next?"

"Many years ago, before even I was born they managed to seal it inside the Pokemon tower, and that seemed to work making people gradually forget about it, however with age comes decay and over time the seal became weaker and weaker until the Black Fog could send out parts of itself to capture people and Pokemon in hopes to become stronger and escape."

"And you have a feeling that potentially the Black Fog may finally escape this year and come to this town to wreak havoc," Ash said.

"Precisely so even though I may not have the right or authority to say this, but I must insist that you should reconsider, at least stay away from here during the night, that is when you would be in the most danger."

Before they could process what she said, a female voice came from behind, "Interesting, I don't suppose you can tell us anything else can you?"

When they all looked in the direction of the voice, and standing there was a woman wearing a kimono that was red below the waist and white with red accents above, with a gold belt, the person wearing it was a slim young woman of medium height. She has long black hair with shorter layers around her face and a fringe and small reddish-purple eyes.

Ash could immediately tell who it was, it was Sabrina.
