Unyielding Will

"Go Geodude" Brock sent out another Geodude.

"Go Charmeleon". I sent out Charmeleon. I kinda expected it. But to think it would be another Geodude.

" Geodude Rollout". After hearing Brock's words Geodude curled it's body into a ball and started rolling towards Charmeleon at high speed.

"Charmeleon Metal Claw" Charmeleon attacked with his shining claws and hit the rolling Geodude with full force. The moment Metal Claw hit Geodude, the impact from the collision flung Geodude like a cannonball. As for Charmeleon, it stood there like a rock.

"Geodude are you alright?". Brock asked worriedly.

"Geo" Geodude replied to him.

"Alright then Geodude 'headbutt'"

"Charmeleon use Fire spin". The attack effectively trapped Geodude in a Tornado of flames.

" Geodude try to get out of there". Brock tried to get his Geodude out but to no avail, it was completely trapped.

" Go for it Charmeleon finish it with Iron tail". I thought Charmeleon how to use Iron Tail to cover his weakness towards Rock types.

Charmeleon's tail glowed as it tore through the flames and hit Geodude as it swung its tail with full force. Geodude fainted and was unable to continue battling.

"Come back Geodude, You did great". Brock took back Geodude as he bought out another Pokeball.

" Go Ryhorn". Brock sent out a Ryhorn.

'Now that's interesting'

"Ryhorn Bulldoze" Brock ordered Ryhorn and had it charge towards Charmeleon full force. 'Bulldoze is an attack that lowers the speed of those hit while dealing damage.'

"Charmeleon use smokescreen to dodge and follow up with a metal claw". As the smoke shrouded the battlefield Ryhorn got confused and stopped its attack midway. Taking advantage of the situation Charmeleon landed a hit with a metal claw to Ryhorn on the side.

" Keep it up and attack from different directions" As Ryhorn was getting attacked from different directions Brock waited patiently looking for an opportunity. And when he found one he instantly ordered Ryhorn.

"Ryhorn Horn attack!" Brock said. As soon as Ryhorn heard his words it started attacking Charmeleon with a horn attack. Charmeleon was being hit consecutively by Ryhorn's horn.

"Charmeleon hold your ground and use Dragon Rage". Charmeleon stabbed its feet into the ground and managed to stop Ryhorn for a few seconds which was more than enough for Charging up a Dragon Rage and fired it at Ryhorn at point-blank range.

" Ryhorn No!!". Brock couldn't do anything as Dragon Rage was an attack that did a fixed amount of damage ignoring the strength, level and defences. Anything else you did would be useless after receiving it at point-blank range.

After receiving the attack head-on Ryhorn was struggling to get up. It's will was commendable. Fighting such an opponent with an unwavering will aroused charmeleon's fighting spirit even more.

"Chaar~" It encouraged Ryhorn as the fire on its tail burned more fiercely and you could even feel the heat radiating off it. After feeling Charmeleon's will to fight the struggling Ryhorn got up with newfound vigour.

"Ryyyyy~" It roared and looked at Charmeleon with it's eyes burning fiercely with the will to fight.

"Let's go Ryhorn Use scary face and then Bulldoze".

" Charmeleon Metal claw and then Fire spin".

After they collided both Ryhorn and Charmeleon looked exhausted. Brock and I knew that the next exchange would be the deciding one and went all out.

"Ryhorn Take-Down".

" Charmeleon Iron Tail". Charmeleon attacked the Charging Ryhorn with it's glowing tail. As they both collided It caused a small explosion and raised a lot of dust into the air. Everyone was anxiously waiting for the outcome.

As the dust cleared it showed two silhouettes one standing and the other fallen. Charmeleon stood there and announced it's victory by roaring.

"Chaarrr".

" Ryhorn is unable to battle. The victor is Challenger Brendan from Littleroot town".

"It was a great battle and your Charmeleon was very good. Good luck in the Indigo League". Brock said to me as he handed me the boulder badge.

" Thanks, Brock". I said to him and walked to Misty after recalling Charmeleon.

"Congrats Brendan". She said to me.

" Same to you. Let's go celebrate our first Gym victory". I said to her as I took her hand and walked to Pokemon Centre.

"Nurse Joy Please check our Pokemon". We gave our Pokemon to nurse joy and we're discussing which restaurant to go to as we got 5000 poke dollars each for defeating Brock. The money was directly transferred to our trainer accounts after defeating Brock.

I also called home and told my parents about my Victory and talked with our family's little princess Celia who was talking about her daily routine and new things she found in a cute voice. After a while, I hanged up and went to Misty who was talking with Nurse Joy.

" Here your Pokemon are completely healed". Nurse Joy returned our Pokemon and went back to her work.

"Brendan let's go to this one". Misty said as she showed me a restaurant which was famous for its desserts. Misty liked sweets more than any other type of food. As I didn't have any place to suggest I agreed with her.

" Alright let's go". I said to her as we left the Pokemon centre and walked towards the restaurants. We passed by many places and even saw a museum. We decided to go there for a stroll after our lunch.

After reaching the restaurant we ordered the food we liked. Misty ordered the restaurant's specialities for both of us and lots of desserts for herself. They even provided food for our Pokemon so we decided to take the offer and ordered some for them as well, as it would be quite a new experience for them.

After eating our fill we left satisfied and walked towards the museum.

"It looks quite big".

" Yeah, it looks like a big palace". I said as I looked at a magnificent and huge building that had doors with a height of nearly 20 ft.

"Misty let's go and check out the fossils". we spent our time looking around the museum. It was already evening by the time we went back to the Pokemon Centre.

After completing our dinner we spent our time watching a movie on the PC provided by the centre to every room as we still had a lot of time before going to sleep we decided to watch a movie.

" That was a good one right". I said to Misty.

"Yep, it's nice to sit back and relax like this". Misty said in a pleased tone.

After speaking to her for some more time we went to sleep and ended our day peacefully.
