Liz's Point of View

It's been a month since master has left for the clan's trial. I've been spending my days here at Elder Moi's place again. I enjoyed being here since I can spend my time with Myne.

Being here makes me feel like I'm not a maid at all. I mean, I still do some household chores but the way Myne and Elder Moi treat me is different compared to the other clan members.

They treat me as a person having the same respect I give them. Elder Moi even forgave me when I did something wrong, and I'm grateful for that. I'm lucky to meet such people.

Currently, I'm with my Pidgeotto. Fortunately, the clan did not took him away from me. Elder Moi helped me in checking Pidgeotto's gender and found out that his a boy.

Master told me that Pidgeotto grew into having a 3.5 star potential thanks to Sam and Vhan's help. I constantly try to train my Pidgeotto to grow stronger together with Myne.

Myne is currently being trained by Elder Moi and I join them sometimes. Elder Moi allows me to join on their training. She told me that I should grow stronger to support master Rem better in the future. I did what Elder Moi said and tried my best to give it my all when training.

I don't want to be a burden to master Rem. I want to go join with his adventures and not be left behind. I want to travel around the world like what master Rem wants in the future.

This wish may look like a hopeless one with the current situation the world is right now. How can we travel around the world when the other regions will surely kill us? The only way through this is by growing stronger.

This is the thought that I always think about to motivate myself. This is the drive that keeps me from working harder to achieve my dreams.

"Liz, continue training your pokemon!" Elder Moi shouted making me wake up from my thoughts.

"Sorry, Elder Moi!" I quickly answered.

"That's okay. Crobat go to Pidgeotto and train him yourself. Liz, come with me. I'll be training you personally." Elder Moi suddenly said.

Her Crobat flew towards Pidgeotto. I signalled Pidgeotto to go towards Crobat for his training. Soon they went towards the sky, leaving me alone with Myne and Elder Moi.

I walked towards Elder Moi afterwards but was shocked by a needle she threw at me. I already trained in stealth but not in combat.

"Liz, always be alert! Remember how you protected your master? You could have done a better job at protecting your master without getting injured." Elder Moi said making me remember that day.

"I can't possibly do anything at that time, Elder Moi. I don't know what to do while facing a pokemon. Pokemon are naturally stronger than us and I can't possibly dodge or block that attack without any possible wounds." I replied to her.

"I know, Liz. But it does not mean that we should always stay weak. From now on, I'll be training your flexibility, speed, and strength. You don't have to be stronger than a pokemon but I only want you to be able to dodge and defend from their attacks." Elder Moi said then started to throw many needles at me.

I quickly tried to dodged them but I'm currently wearing my maid outfit making me be hit by a couple of needles. After getting hit by a couple of needles, I was hit again by another set.

"Ugh!" I involuntary shouted from the pain.

"An enemy won't show you any mercy even if you're injured. Stand up! If this is how weak you are then I'm wrong to have accessed you greatly!" Elder shouted with an angry voice.

"Grandma, that's enough! You're hurting Liz too much!" I can hear Myne shouting.

"Don't interfere with my training, Myne. Gengar, go take Myne with you." Elder Moi said.

"No, Gengar! Remove your hands from me! Grandma, please!" Myne said while trying to remove Gengar's hands from her.

"Now, let's go back to my question. Is this how strong your resolve is? Your dream for freedom won't be achieved if you can't take even this much of pain!" Elder Moi shouted then threw another set of needles.

This time, I forced my body to dodge the needles. I tried jumping to my right to dodge the needles.

"Ah!" I screamed from the pain when more needles hit me.

"Show me your determination, Liz. Show me that you are worthy for freedom and being Rem's right hand." Elder Moi said then threw another set of needles.

I bit my lip to try to stop myself from screaming. This time, I jumped to my left and tried to dodge the attack again. Unfortunately, the needles are too fast. Even though I'm getting used to dodging because of my gifted talent, I'm still unable to dodge most of the needles.

"Argh!" I screamed again.

"This is enough for today. Starting tomorrow, we will be doing this. If you can't take the training, tell me. I'll remove you as Rem's personal maid, you don't deserve it." Elder Moi said then left me alone.

I looked at my body and it was full of holes. The wounds were not that deep, and will close by a day or two. The pain though was immense.

"Ugh!" I screamed from removing one of the needles.

After removing one, I took my time in taking out every needle inserted at my body. I took an hour for me to completely remove every needles in my body.

While I was doing this, Pidgeotto came back together with Crobat. He also looked beaten up like me with his feathers being in disordered. He saw my current look, and he turned mad.

"I'm fine, Pidgeotto. This is just part of my training. Let's go and get ourselves patched up." I told him while smiling.

We then walked inside to my room while promising myself to show my determination to prove Elder Moi that I deserve freedom and being master Rem's right hand.
