5 Chapter 5

The next morning, I walked back at the place where I met the old hag. Then suddenly a big crobat landed beside me from the sky. The old hag was riding the crobat with ease, and even smiling cockily when she saw my amazed expression. I should make sure my zubat grows bigger than this crobat to make the old hag regret giving me that smile.

"Good morning, kid. I brought you two eggs which has a weedle, and a nidoran inside. Now, pick which pokemon egg you want." The old hag said while holding one egg at each of her hands.

I looked at the two eggs, and saw that the weedle and nidoran has the same potential rate which are 3.5 stars.

"These two eggs are born from my strongest pokemon so you can choose whichever you want, and it will still be the same." The old hag said when she saw me looking at the eggs with a complicated look.

"If only you're a core member then I would have given the two eggs to you but the clan rules states that inner members can only receive two pokemon eggs from the clan, and mind you that the pokemon eggs from the clan are higher in quality. You won't see nidorans, weedles, and zubats that has the same quality as ours outside of the clan." The old hag bragged, and I can say that she's telling the truth. I already saw the other pokemon in the forest, and all their potential is 1 star. I only saw one 1.5 star potential once, and it was a caterpie.

"I choose the weedle egg, elder." I replied, and chose this one because I know with my current capabilities, I won't be able to raise a nidoran properly.

Also, a weedle is easier to raise and it evolves faster making me have an early weapon. This can help in protecting me, and when I grow into a core member then I'll have an easier time in growing a nidoran with the help of a beedrill and a golbat or maybe even a crobat by then.

"Good choice. I think you having a nidoran will be too much to handle at your situation. With that, I'll be giving you these two books about kakuna and beedrill. I have high expectations for you, kid. I expect you to be a core member by 10 years. Don't disappoint me." The old hag said, and then flew away after. I'll make sure to surpass that expectation, and show you that you're wrong. I'm only kidding though I don't want to show my awesomeness too much.

I already read the book pertaining on how to increase a quality of a weedle while it's still inside the egg. This time it is easier to increase it's potential compared to zubat. It only needs a big container where the egg can be submerged with poison type blood. The stronger the poison type blood it is submerged in then the better.

With that, I ran to my house, and then asked for a container which I can put the weedle egg in from the clan. The clan gave it to me immediately without questions as if it was a normal thing to ask for.

I then prepared the things I needed like a sleeping bag, and so on. I didn't need to practice survival this time since I already did that.

I let zubat go to the forest first, and hunt for ekans to fill the container with it's blood. When I finished preparing my baggage, I met up with zubat at the entrance of the forest. In the floor was two corpses of ekans. RIP for the Ekans. Poor souls but are needed for my weedle. As if I pity them. Not!

I and zubat then filled the container with the ekans' blood, and put the weedle egg inside. I closed the container after, and with the container closed the bloody smell won't come out which will attract other pokemon.

I and zubat then walked out of here since the smell of blood in our current area is strong already. Some pokemon might go here being attracted with the smell of blood.

While walking around the forest, I am reading a book about ways in increasing the potential of zubat. His potential is already high but I want it to be perfect.

In the book, one way of increasing his potential is by letting it drink the blood of other poison type pokemon which we already did but sadly no increase in potential was seen. I think we needed a strong poison type pokemon, and this can help zubat increase in potential. Another way I can think of is zubat needing to drink different bloods of poison types.

And one more method is by feeding zubat some expensive and rare items like toxic orbs which he needs to absorb, some rare toxic berries, or making zubat eat rare poisonous plants. Well this method is applicable to almost every pokemon but the items needed are different for each pokemon.

While I was thinking about these things, zubat was fighting with another pokemon. You might be thinking why I didn't go back at the clan when I already got the blood for weedle. Well I didn't go back because weedle will have the benefit in staying in the forest for his next evolutions, and it's evolutions are quite fast. In the books given to me, the methods and resources are here in the forest which can help in raising a kakuna and beedrill's potential and strength.

And the needed materials to increase it's potential can all be found in the forest. Of course, the materials in the forest will be only normal materials but it can still help weedle increase it's potential. I might be able to increase this pokemon's potential into 4 stars, and hopefully 4.5 stars. 5 stars will be wishful thinking with the resources available but I still pray it can reach that. I have a system so maybe I'll also have the MCs luck.

Anyway, I have to worry about those things in the following days. And for now, I want to relax.

"Zubat, go hunt me some pidgey to eat for dinner." I said while still reading a book. I wasn't really worried of me being alone without zubat since I can still run and hide from those pokemon in the forest.

I closed my book while zubat is away, and then checked my system to recheck weedle's stats.

Seeing this, I was satisfied with it for now. I then checked my stats to see if there are any changes. I noticed how my Nicrodrill Clan Member perk has changed into Nicrodrill Clan Inner Member.

It also increased the percentage increment by 5%. For this, I was glad. I think this perks and passives are the one which are helping me train zubat faster than others with the exception of his potential.

Now, I'm curious on how to improve my other passives and perks. Well for now, it's better to not think about it, and just let it be. I should focus on weedle for now, and prepare for it's needed materials.
