Volume 1 - Chapter 3: Hiratsuka Shizuka

Shizuka and Sora were looking at each other for a few moments before she sighed as she shook her head.

Sora: ???

"Did I do something wrong, Senpai?" asked Sora in doubt, as he wasn't sure about what had just happened. That's right, she is Hiratsuka Shizuka from "My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong, As I expected". She was Sora's senior at school before she graduated.

Shizuka is a tall woman with long black hair that falls over her shoulders and reaches her shins. She has unkempt bangs that cover her purple eyes. She is wearing a themed Pokémon pyjama on the couch.

While Sora was focusing on his Pokémon course, Hiratsuka pursued teaching like in the original. They wouldn't have much interaction if not for an accident that Sora would rather not recall it.

Yet, in this misfortune Sora met one of his favorite "wife" and became great friend. So Sora basically followed Hiratsuka around or endured her iron fist through his years before she graduated. He met many more characters that were present in his past life, but Hiratsuka was the one who attracted Sora's attention the most.

"I heard you graduated from school and you are preparing to explore the secret realm soon." Said Hiratsuka as she took a deep look at Sora. Sora froze in place as he let out a nervous chuckle.

"Ha ha ha… So you heard, huh? I was going to tell you eventually…" murmured Sora guiltily as he evaded Hiratsuka's face.

He wasn't going to tell her if he was going to be honest. He didn't want to worry Hiratsuka because of his trip.

As you know, exploring a secret realm is dangerous enough and without Pokémon partner is even more dangerous. The mortality rate is no joke. Many Pokémon inside those Secret Realm are mostly hostile toward humans.

That would have been the case before, but he has Umbreon and Espeon with him now. He needed to go inside those secret realms for his plans.

Sora intends to promote the bonds of Pokémon and human and be the father of this new generation. Moreover, Sora couldn't help but think about the future. The merge of those two worlds is too weird and his guts tell him that isn't the end.

So he must get stronger and amass enough authority to protect his Hiratsuka and everyone else he cared. He now had people who care about him and he won't fail it. This was the decision he took since he entered this course and now, with a system helping him, he will be the one who would stand above everyone.

"Huh? Really? So when are you going, my little junior?" said Hiratsuka as her glare became even more intense as Sora trembled even more.

No way, Sora instinctively reacted like that because of the many times he teased her or angered at school, as he received a punch in guts every time.

Fortunately for her, she was a beauty or else that person would receive Sora's "Gender Equality Fist", something he learned from his NEET friend.

Huh, now he thinks about it. He wonders how Kazuma is doing. Sora should call him sometime.

"Damn, Sora, how dare you thinking about something else right now???" said Hiratsuka as she exploded in her seat as he rose her seat toward Sora.

Hiratsuka: (!! -_-)

Sora: （ﾟДﾟ）

"Wai-wait Shizuka-chan, calm down! I'm sorry!"

"AHHHH"

"Idiot, all you had to do is to be honest with me." Pouted Hiratsuka as she was very dissatisfied with Sora's attitude.

'Ahh, senpai why are you acting like the victim when I'm the one who is on the floor right now,' thought Sora as he held his stomach in pain from the fist he received.

"…"

"…"

Sora got silent as he didn't know what to say and Hiratsuka knows she can't make Sora not go inside the secret realm.

They are both stubborn people who care a lot about each other in their own way.

"You don't have a Pokémon partner, right, Sora?"

"Yeah… and I thought I could get own Pokemon being the genius of the class. All they gave me was a worthless discount for an unknown egg they found in the wild." pretended Sora with an exasperated sigh.

It would be suspicious if Sora said he has Umbreon and Espeon to Hiratsuka as he was a fresh graduate and no backing. Moreover, eevee is expensive, and they were both rare forms.

He didn't know how to explain it, so he might as well lie about his situation.

"Sure enough, they are still stingy about it." Said Hiratsuka with a frown as she noticed Sora's situation. She basically confirmed that Sora would leave toward a secret realm by himself with no Pokémon with him.

That was the worst situation for Hiratsuka as she cared about Sora's wellbeing. She began to think about a solution as she suddenly looked at Combusken next to her. Her eyes widened as she suddenly looked at Sora, who was still fooling on the ground.

"Hey, Sora, I have a brilliant solution for you." Said Hiratsuka as she attracted Sora's attention on her.

Sora: ?

"How about I lent you Combusken? She knows you a lot and she can be a great help to you. Plus, with my careful cultivation, she is very powerful!" said Hiratsuka as she snapped her finger with a "Please praise me," face.

"Combusken?" cried Combusken as she heard her name as she looked at Hiratsuka with confusion.

Sora looked at Combusken as it did the same.

Sora shook his head in refusal to Hiratsuka's proposal.

"Why not??" asked Hiratsuka as she was upset when her good intention got refused by Sora.

"It's simple, Combusken is your good partner and if something were to happen to her in the secret realm, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself.." said Sora with a gentle smile that stunned Hiratsuka.

"You!... fine."

"Hmph, not talking to you anymore, dummy." Hiratsuka pouted as she twisted her body away from Sora.

"Hahaha" Sora could only laugh helplessly as he witnessed this. He understood his senpai care clearly from all those hints.

It only made him eager to get stronger. Sora looked at the window and saw it got darker outside. He's leaving tomorrow with the car from the Pokemon Alliance. He had some stuff to prepare before going.

Sora rose from the ground as he went behind his senpai, who still ignored him. Sora hugged Hiratsuka as her body froze at the sudden contact and struggled to get outside of his hold.

But she suddenly smelled Sora's body as she directly melted in his embrace as she stopped fer futile struggle.

They stayed in the same position for a few minutes as Sora directly broke the hug. As he took off his arms off Hiratsuka, Sora felt a tug on his arm as he saw his senpai still holding it.

Sora smiled as he saw this action from his normally strong senpai. Sora pushed his head toward Hiratsuka's face as he put his lips near her ear.

"Don't worry Shizuka… I'll promise I'll comeback from my trip. After all, I have someone waiting for me here." Said Sora as he saw Hiratsuka not holding his arms anymore and a blush on her face.

'Cute,' thought Sora as he left Hiratsuka, who was too shy to face him.

It didn't take long for Hiratsuka to hear the door closing and Sora's goodbye.

Hiratsuka touched her reddened cheeks as she felt the heat coming for it.

"Idiot… you better come back alive.." murmured Hiratsuka with worry. She didn't understand Sora's confidence, but she could only wait honestly for his return.
