Unexpected ending.

"Nimbostratus clouds." Joseph's eyes was focused on the dark gray clouds above. This kind of cloud is result of rising warm air mass and cold air mass met each other like what happened earlier. And based on the color of the cloud it will rain anytime soon.

"As expected from the elite four member famous for her logical, calculated, and cool battling style." Joseph shifted his gaze to Lorelei then he smiled. 'Damn, If I only taught Houndoom the Sunny Day and Solar Beam.'

A few seconds later the rain starts to fall. The rainy weather made Houndoom feel uncomfortable but the doggo still tried his best to evaporate the falling rain before it touched his skin.

"Time to end this round, Lapras use Rain Dance to make the rainfall stronger!" Lorelei waved her hand with the same serious expression.

"Don't let her, Houndoom use Taunt." Joseph immediately countered.

Houndoom dashed in front of Lapras then Houndoom twerked and danced like the famous Brazilian dog in the internet. Houndoom was sacrificing his dignity to win this battle.

Lapras' became annoyed and distracted, she wants to slap the twerking dog in front of her so bad that she forget about her trainer's instruction.

Lorelei's eyes narrowed. 'Mr. Johnson is young but he's already good at countering his opponents which is a really hard thing to do for an average trainer without a strong mentality and focus.'

"Lapras use Body Slam." Lorelei instructed to use a "melee" move since the Houndoom was just a few feet from her.

"Houndoom use Counter!" Joseph shouted.

"Counter?!" All of the spectators said.

"A Machamp that knows Attract and now a Houndoom that can use Counter out of nowhere." Professor Oak was really amazed, many trainers tried to teach this move to a Houndour and Houndoom before but all of them failed and officially added to trainer manual as an example of incompatibility of some moves and pokemon.

"How did he do it?" Professor Oak muttered.

Houndoom braced himself and looked at the Lapras in the air with a mocking smile.

Lorelei knows that it was too late to cancel the body slam since Lapras already jumped in the air.

Lapras's body was slammed at Houndoom that made the doggo groan in pain, the Body slam is really strong.

Houndoom's body becomes outlined in orange aura then he used the power of Lapras's Body Slam to return the damage he took with doubled power.

Lapras was sent flying by the powerful counter.

"Good Job Houndoom!" Joseph shouted and praised the doggo, Houndoom's tail starts to wag but his face was serious and ignored his trainer.

Joseph chuckled. 'Acting like a tsundere?'

Fighting type moves was really effective against Ice types, Lapras is in the brink of fainting.

In just a single move the situation changed.

Lorelei became more cautious, Joseph's pokemons know's some moves that majority of the same specie don't know.

Joseph can also see that his Houndoom's situation is worse than the Lapras.

The doggo was paralyzed and cant move his body except its tail.

"Seems like the Houndoom is paralyzed." Agatha shook her head then the other two members of Elite Four nodded.

"Lapras can you still fight?" Lorelei was so concerned about her first pokemon. Lapras replied with a nod.

"The opponent cant move it's time to use Rain Dance." Lorelei was really eager to finish the battle.

The drizzle coming from the clouds become stronger after Lapras finished the dancing the mystical dance.

"Now! Finish that Houndoom with Hydro Pump!" Lorelei had a faint smile on her face after she ordered her Lapras.

"Houndoom! Use Attract!" Joseph waved his hands.

"Eh? Even this houndoom knows attract." Lorelei's eyes narrowed.

"Because my pokemons are all good looking pokemons." Joseph laughed then he focused back to the battle.

Houndoom became an ikemen looking dog in the eyes of Lapras. Lapras was stunned and asked herself, how the hell this dog became so handsome.

"This is bad." Lorelei tried to wake up Lapras from daydreaming state.

"Houndoom use Facade!" Joseph shouted with full of vigor, the feeling of excitement of unknown result to a battle with equal powers rushed through his body.

Houndoom howled then his whole body becomes covered in an orange aura for a moment then he charges into the opponent. Because Houndoom was affected by status condition, the move's power is doubled!

Professor Oak, Agatha, Bruno and Lance was serious and waiting for the result because this match will decide if Lorelei will win or lose today since Lapras is her strongest pokemon.

The charging Houndoom of Joseph is going near to the dazed Lapras.

"Lapras!! Wake up!!!" Lorelei shouted with her might.

Lapras gained some of her sanity and immediately use Hydo Pump!

"Shit." Joseph cursed and hoping that the Facade will land on Lapras.

*Booom!*

On the battlefield, Houndoom and Lapras were staring with each other, all of a sudden both of them slumped on the ground.

"Both of the pokemons fainted! this round's result is draw! Please choose your last pokemons!" Professor Oak said the battle happened today is really exciting.

Joseph sighed and shook his head, in this battle Houndoom actually did great considering the fact that Lapras is Lorelei's main pokemon.

Lorelei composed herself then she took a deep breath and returned her beloved Lapras on her poke ball.

"Your Houndoom is so strong, I hope I can battle with him again with my Lapras." Lorelei sincerely said.

"Yeah I'm proud of that boy right now." Joseph also returned his fainted Houndoom to his poke ball.

Lorelei sent her Jynx on the battle field again and waiting for Joseph's Pikachu. Joseph took a poke ball on his pocket and threw it in the air.

"Pikachu!!" Joseph's Level 96 cute pokemon made his entrance. Joseph doesn't really want to use this little monster but because he promised Lorelei to battle this little monster, he needs to grant it.

"A Pikachu?" All of the spectators ar confused on Joseph's last pokemon.

"Why he didn't use his Arcanine?" Bruno who sized Arcanine earlier said.

"Maybe its not that powerful? But this is indeed a strange choice." Lance said in low tone.

"I can't see through this Pikachu." Agatha said then her Gengar from her shadow peeped because it can feel a strong aura coming from the Pikachu.

"I actually promised Ms. Lorelei to battle her with my Pikachu." Joseph turned to the Elite four members.

"I see, a man's words cant be broken." Bruno nodded.

"Both pokemons are ready, let the final round begin!!" Prof. Oak shouted.

Joseph smiled then he waved his hand.

"Thunder." Joseph ordered.

Because the effect of Lapras's Rain Dance is still there the accuracy of Thunder is greatly increased.

"Jynx Psy-" But before Lorelei could finnish her instruction to Jynx. A thick lightning bolt came from the clouds struck Jynx then the human-like pokemon fainted.

"!!!!!" All of the person inside the gym is shocked except Joseph, their mouth were agape that a chicken egg can fit inside without hassle.

"What the hell is that!!!" The serious and always cool Lance cant help himself to say those words then he looked at the cute monstrous Pikachu scratching his ears.

Pikachu notice the gaze of Lance then a prank appeared inside his head. He used scary face then pikachu's face became menacing.

Lance instinctively took a single step back.
