14 I'm Happy!

"Old man who is that woman?" Verity curiously asked after she paid the poke beans.

"She's Lorelei an elite four member of Kanto also known as Kanto's master of ice." Joseph nonchalantly said then he opened the bar fridge to get some drinks.

"I see." Verity nodded and didn't seem to be shocked.

Joseph opened the drink and gulped a mouthful of it, he also took another one and offered it to Verity. "Here."

Verity politely took the bottle of cold Soda Pop then she went to the cute pokemons with her Piplup.

"Hey kid aren't you a pokemon trainer that traveling and challenging gyms to become a champion?" Joseph asked as he sipped some beverage.

Verity whose happily playing with Joseph's cute pokemons suddenly stoped and looked at Joseph.

"I suddenly want to become a shop owner someday, I realized that being a famous trainer is troublesome." Verity said then she ruffled the fur of Mew in her Eevee form.

'Oh shit, that's not good Verity. What about Ash and Sorrel? You should help them first untill you guys saw Ho-oh or else this world's plot will be changed... I just want to peacefully spectate from the sidelines. Well, the thing that I know about this parallel pokemon world is Ash, Sorrel and Verity's adventure together. What about the other things? Tsk tsk, let's just go with the flow as usual and if there's a world ending calamity I'll just summon my army of max leveled Shiny Gods to resolve the matter.' Joseph shook his head then he tried to persuade Verity to continue her journey. "Kid, do you know there's a lot of legendary and mythical pokemons out there?"

"I know, my mom said that there are many legendary pokemons. She once told me about their journey with my dad and met some of it which is really unbelievable she also said that dad saw different variants of legendary birds of Kanto in Galar region." Verity proudly said then she puffed he chest.

"Your mom and dad seems impressive." Joseph doesn't know this girl's actual background beside from being originated from Twinleaf Town of Sinnoh region and she have an unknown powerful mother and no informations about her dad.

'Well the dads in the pokemon world is rare as legendary pokemon.' Joseph thought then he inwardly sighed.

"Yeah they are really impressive!" Verity nodded.

"Okay since they are impressive I'm sure their daughter is also the same, what about you kid? Did you already seen a legendary pokemon?" Joseph rested his head on his hands.

"Me? N-no." Verity's mouth slightly twitched."But I will see and caught one for sure!"

"Okay then, If you see a specific legendary pokemon that I'll say and take a photo of it I will agree for you to work with me in this shop but you need to get your parent's approval first." Joseph said to the kid.

"Really?!" Verity stood up with sparkling eyes.

"Yeah, the legendary pokemon is Ho-oh." Joseph said then he sipped his beverage again.

"Ho-oh?" Verity tilted her head and gave Joseph a questioning look.

"Ho-oh is the guardian of the sky, it's a big bird pokemon that have seven colored feathers. They said that once you owned Ho-oh seven colored feather it will grant the holder happiness." Joseph said like a grandpa telling stories to their grandkid.

"Okay! I will find it and be your business partner in this shop." Verity said. "But before I go can we take a picture together?"

"Tsk tsk, kid you're getting bolder." Joseph shook his head and teased Verity.

"I'm always doing this with my friends if we part together and I consider you one." Verity rebutted then she immediately pouted after she said those words.

"Okay okay, were friends." Joseph lightly laughed then he nodded.

Verity took her tablet in her bag then she immediately turned the camera on.

"Come here old man." Verity gestured her hands. Joseph stood up from his seat then he went beside the girl.

"Little girl you're really enjoying to call me old man aren't you?" Joseph shook his head then he stared at the camera with bored expression.

"Hehe it's because you're always calling me little girl, you can call me by my name and I'll call you Mr. Johnson." Verity adjusted the camera and snatched Mew in her Eevee form on Joseph's shoulder.

"Okay I won't call you kid or little girl anymore, are you happy now?" Joseph sat on the edge of the slide.

"Hmm, I'm happy." Verity nodded then she let out a bright smile. All of a sudden, someone was tugging on Verity's legs.

"Piplup?" Verity looked down and saw an angry looking Piplup.

"I think he's jealous that you're carrying my Eevee, come here bud I'll feed you with Rainbow colored poke bean later." Joseph patted his legs then he lightly laughed.

"Piiipluup!!" Verity's Piplup became energetic and excited when he heard about the rainbow colored poke beans. Piplup hurriedly went infront of Joseph and opened his little flappers to tell Joseph to pick him up.

"This glutton." Verity was speechless on her pokemons actions.

Joseph picked up the Piplup and placed it into his lap while the other little pokemons where standing beside them and also waiting for the pictures to take.

"Okay since everything is ready, Rotom please take a photo of us." Verity said to the tablet.

The Rotom tablet replied with yes.

"3 2 1 smile!" Rotom(Verity's Tablet) said then a bright flash came from the camera.

Rotom showed the captured photo to Verity and Joseph.

"It's great." Verity said with full of smiles.

"Yeah I looked so handsome here, don't show this to your elder sisters they might fall for me." Joseph said a narcissistic joke that made Verity laugh.

Verity left the store after taking few more pictures with Joseph, Joseph didn't mind and just smiled and looked at the camera.

Joseph temporarily closed the store because he's going to have his lunch and he will meet Lorelei after he's done eating.

Joseph went to eat in the nearby restaurant, the restaurant serves some normal animals and also pokemons like Magikarp and Farfetched known for their delicious meat. Joseph really want to have a taste of it but his conscience didn't let him because he also owned a Magikarp and Farfetch'd. There is something that makes you feel pity and disgust about a certain species if you loved them. Like dogs and cats in his real world who have been loved by their owners and gets heartbroken if they saw someone butchering the same specie like their loved pets. Joseph already known about this because some of the episodes in the anime introduced that humans in the pokemon world also eat pokemon. Joseph shook his head and just went to the normal animals section and ordered some dishes.
