"Pinnnsirr!"

The Pinsir in front of them growled with hatred as he looked at Arthur and his Pokemon. He had been overwhelmed by the two Pokemon in front of him in a matter of minutes.

Moreover, his body was injured.

If he kept going like this, he could even die, but Pinsir was not thinking from his mind. He had already lost his mind due to being ambushed, and he was not thinking freely.

That was the difference between a wild Pokemon and a trained one.

Wild Pokemon don't have any tactics, and they fight on instincts, often losing their lives due to their instincts taking them over. Trained Pokemon on the other hand work with their trainers and their every move was well thought out.

That's why it was easy to subdue a single wild Pokemon.

"Mankey, use focus energy, and Charmander, prepare your dragon tail."

Arthur commanded, seeing that the Pinsir was going to launch another attack.

Pinsir ignored the state of his body and used another focus energy. His muscles suddenly gained newfound power, and the chances of him hitting a critical hit increased greatly.

But there was no way for him to win this battle no matter what he did.

With an angry growl, he rushed towards Charmander, preparing to use a horn attack on him, but this time Charmander was prepared.

He faced the horn attack head-on with the help of his dragon tail.

Charmander's tail collided with Pinsir's horns, and both of them felt a shock wave by the impact. But they were not going to back off with just that.

They both pushed to be the winner in their class and ultimately, Pinsir was pushed back.

After all, he was not able to use his full strength due to him being injured and dragon tail was a powerful move often used by dragon Pokemon.

It was not something a mere Pinsir can go against.

At the exact time, Arthur swiftly commanded Mankey who was just waiting for his orders.

"Mankey, use Karate chop and finish him!"

"Mank!"

Mankey used his legs and jumped towards the Pinsir, who was unbalanced due to the impact of the dragon tail. He focused his spirit on both of his hands, and they soon started glowing.

Bam!!

Mankey dealt the final blow with his karate chop, and the Pinsir was slammed into the tree, fainting in the process.

Pinsir has used all his strength, but he was no match for Charmander and Mankey. In the end, he sustained major injuries and would soon die if left with no care.

"Good job, Charmander and Mankey."

Arthur smiled as he saw that Charmander and Mankey's level had increased by one after defeating the Pinsir. He thanked both of them and called back Mankey, who seemed disappointed because the battle ended too soon.

After all that was done, he turned back to look at the Murkrow, who was also looking at him.

When Arthur examined him closely, he found out that the Murkrow was severely hurt, and he even looked malnutrition. It looked like living in the Viridian forest had taken quite a toll on him.

Arthur was sure that even if the Pinsir hadn't attacked Murkrow, he would have died cause of lack of food.

He slowly tried to walk over to him, but the Murkrow suddenly became a vigilante.

"Kroww!"

Murkrow had seen that Arthur had saved his life from the Pinsir, but living in the Viridian forest without any support from his kin had made him really cautious of everything and everyone.

That's why, even though Arthur's intentions were pure, Murkrow instinctively became scared of him.

"Don't worry, I won't hurt you. You will die if your injuries aren't taken care of. Let me help you." Arthur softly said, trying to show that he was here to help.

Doing a part-time job at Professor Oak's lab had made him accustomed to how to talk to Pokemon and he knew how to win over their trust. It was working too.

Hearing that Arthur was trying to help him and coupled with the fact that he had saved him, Murkrow grew less vigilant and allowed him to come closer.

He was still on his guard, but Arthur was able to crouch down next to him and look at his injuries.

'It's really bad.'

Arthur frowned as he looked at the bloodied wings of Murkrow.

His whole body has a lot of external injuries and maybe even some internal ones. Arthur quickly took out a super potion that he had bought in Viridian city and sprayed it slowly over Murkrow's body.

"Krr!" Murkrow screamed as he felt a stinging pain, but Arthur continued his work.

He needed to quickly heal all his injuries or Murkrow won't be able to survive. After spraying the super potion, he took out a sitrus berry and leaned it towards Murkrow's mouth.

"Eat it while I bandage your wings. You won't be able to fly for a while, but it would be fine after you recovered." He said, and Murkrow slowly started eating the berry.

Although he was meeting Arthur for the first time, Murkrow can feel that the human in front of him was trying his best to save his life.

It was the first time that someone was helping him out and a grateful feeling appeared all over Murkrow's heart.

After all, even other Pokemon hadn't helped him when he had accidentally separated from his group, but a human was helping him. It made Murkrow feel a sense of closeness to Arthur.

"It's all done now!"

Arthur took a sigh of relief as he looked at the bandaged wings of Murkrow.

Even though Murkrow's injuries have not healed right away, they will start getting better now. Just he needed proper rest and care.

"Murkrow, how are you feeling now?" Arthur asked Murkrow while passing him another sitrus berry.

"Krooww!"

For the first time, Murkrow happily cried out.

The pain that he was feeling was slowly diminishing, and the berries had helped to fill his stomach. He even felt like his strength was slowly coming back to him.

After that, there was only one thing left for Arthur to do: to recruit Murkrow in his team.

"You would be fine after resting for a week. Although, you still need extensive care and medicine daily. That's why, how about coming with me?"

Arthur said, and the Murkrow suddenly looked at him in a daze.
