11 Chapter 011 | The Murkrow

'The commotion was rather large last night.'

Arthur thought as he passed by the Viridian city Pokemon centre.

Just like in the anime, Team Rocket had attacked the Pokemon centre and the situation was saved by Pikachu who used an overpowered thunderbolt to rescue everyone.

But unlike in the anime, the whole Pokemon centre hadn't been destroyed.

It was due to the safety measures that every Pokemon centre has in this world. Currently, the whole centre was surrounded by the police and Ash who had saved the situation last night would probably be questioned about the events that had transpired.

'It's his bad luck that he won't be able to leave for Viridian city today.'

Being a hero in this world was a messy thing and Ash won't be able to leave until the police have verified everyone's statements. Arthur felt bad for him a little, but there was nothing he could do.

He moved towards the entrance of Viridian forest and verified his trainer ID. After it was done, he was able to enter the home of Kanto bugs, Viridian forest.

'This is the place I would live in for the next month.'

Arthur thought as he looked at the vast forest in front of him.

Trees and tall grass were all around him and he was able to notice some Pidgeys staring at him. The scent reminiscent of the forest entered his nose and he felt his whole body being filled with energy.

After looking around the forest for a while, he called out Charmander from his pokeball.

"Charr!"

With an excited growl, Charmander came out and looked around his surroundings. It's been more than 12 hours since he was in his pokeball, so he was excited to come out in the open.

He was completely revitalized after resting and was ready for battles.

"Charmander, we will start our training today. I hope you are ready to become strong and will give it your all." Arthor said while patting Charmander's small head.

"Char."

Charmander also nodded and showed an excited expression.

He naturally wanted to grow into a powerful Pokemon, so he was ready for any training that would help him out. At the same time, he would be acting as the protection for Arthur.

The whole Viridian forest was filled with bug Pokemon and the natural weakness of these Pokemon are flying and fire type Pokemon.

Most of them won't dare to do anything seeing Charmander.

'It would take two hours to reach the territory of Beedrill.'

Looking at the map, Arthur fell into thought. His current location was close to the territory of Rattata and he would need to go through the territory of Butterfree and Pinsirs to reach the territory of Beedrill.

In these two territories, the easier one to pass would be of Butterfree as they were mostly of gentle and kind nature. They would never attack passing trainers.

But that can't be said about Pinsirs.

They were known to be aggressive and their attack power is high. Moreover, they are tyrants, infamous for bullying the weak Pokemon.

It won't be easy to pass through their territory unharmed.

"Let's hope we don't encounter a group of Pinsirs." Arthur smiled helplessly and shook his head.

He was confident of handling the situation if they encountered one or two Pinsirs. After all, Charmander has a natural advantage over them, but if it was a group, then they can only take a detour.

After all, being reckless can backfire easily.

Soon after that, both Charmander and Arthur began to move.

The Viridian forest was dense and they weren't walking on the official pathway, so many times Charmander needed to cut off the branches and thorns in their path with his razor-sharp claws.

Although they weren't too sharp yet, they were still enough to cut off branches.

Aside from that, Arthur also kept an eye on the trees and plants. He was looking for some wild berries that they can use for their lunch. Living in the forest wasn't easy, especially because you need to find your own food.

But the food wasn't hard to find for Arthur.

He has immense knowledge of berries and edible herbs thanks to his mother. It was easy for him to recognize edible berries and herbs which he kept plucking along the way.

He ignored the ones which hadn't ripened yet and took the ones which looked matured.

There were all kinds of berries to find in the forest and he was able to get his hands on every type of berry, even some rare ones which heal status effects.

Like that, both Charmander and Arthur reached the Butterfree territory.

Butterfree's were one of the main leaders in the whole forest and they have good relations with all other species. It was a pity that Arthur didn't find a single green aptitude Caterpie or he would have gotten one for himself.

Although bug Pokemon grow at an astonishing rate, most of them were weak and only had white or yellow aptitudes.

Even the Butterfree's flying around don't have an aptitude higher than orange.

For Arthur, it was useless to catch them, so he silently passed through the Butterfree territory and as soon as he entered the territory of Pinsir, he grew vigilant.

"Charmander, keep an eye out for any Pinsirs."

"Char!"

Charmander nodded and started looking around. He was very loyal from the start and wouldn't let anything happen to his trainer.

They kept walking with caution and along the way, they encountered some Pinsirs, but they were able to pass through unscathed. It was because Arthur mostly waited for them to pass through before walking ahead.

Like that, they crossed over half of the Pinsir territory.

It was then that Arthur encountered something strange. He saw one of the Pinsir fighting a small, black bird. Pinsirs fighting other Pokemons wasn't uncommon as they had a bad temper, but the Pokemon he was fighting with was definitely strange.

It was because it was not a Pokemon common to the Kanto region.

'What is a Murkrow doing here?'

Arthur thought as he looked at the Murkrow who was desperately fighting with the Pinsir.
