6 Chapter 006 | Anime Events?

"Come out, Mankey!"

The first thing that Arthur did after capturing Mankey was to call him out in the open. Although he wanted to celebrate his first capture, he didn't have time.

There were more important things to do and one of them was to treat the Mankey.

After capturing, wild Pokemon don't get automatically healed and in some cases, they can even die if they don't receive medical treatment soon. A battle can easily cause major damage to a Pokemon.

That's why, the first thing that Arthur did was to treat the Mankey.

"Mank!"

The Mankey which came out was still on guard against Arthur. Although he was captured, it doesn't mean he will obey him fully.

He was still looking at Charmander and Arthur with caution.

If he felt like Arthur wasn't a good trainer, he would even run away as there was no loyalty in him towards his trainer.

It was Arthur's job to make him listen to him.

"I won't harm you, so you don't need to fear me. I just want to heal your injuries. If we don't do anything about them, it can get worse." Arthur said as he pointed to the burn marks on Mankey's legs.

"Charr!" Charmander also gestured that it was fine and there was no need for Mankey to fear them.

He was still not happy about Mankey's stealing his berries, but now, both of them have the same trainer. It would be better for them to get along.

Charmander understood it and was trying to be more friendly towards Mankey.

"Mankk!" Mankey also understood it to some extent and didn't try to attack Arthur. He was still on guard, but he would at least let his trainer do the first aid on him.

'It's good that Charmander is still too low level and his attacks are not too strong.'

Arthur thought as he first applied some ointment to heal the burn marks on Mankey's legs. As Pokemon have great physical immunity, especially a fighting type like Mankey, the wound will heal soon.

Since childhood, Arthur had learned a lot from his mother who was a breeder.

Because of this, he knew all about how to heal Pokemon and which type of Pokemon like which type of food. Not only this, he even knew how to make pokeblocks and other things.

That's why, the healing process was quick.

Arthur even passed a sitrus berry to both Charmander and Mankey to help them recover their strengths.

'I won't have much trouble taming Mankey'

He thought as he stared at Mankey happily eating the sitrus berry.

Compared to his evolved form, Mankeys are far more easier to tame and with Arthur's level of skill, it won't take much time until his first capture will warm up to him.

After all that was done, Arthur called back both Mankey and Charmander into their pokeballs.

Mankey needed to rest for his injury to quickly heal and Charmander was also tired after fighting his first battle. So, he gave him time to rest and decided to walk alone.

'If I follow this path, I would enter the territory of Spearows and Pidgeottos.'

Arthur looked at the map that was pre-installed in his pokedex.

The map was showing a straight path. If he followed it, then he would soon reach the river that flows between Pallet town and Viridian city, but before that, he needed to tread through the territory of the two most common Kanto flying types.

It was common information that the two ethnic groups of Pidgeotto and Spearows are always fighting with each other as their territories coexist with each other.

In the anime, Ash has offended the whole Spearow group, causing him a lot of trouble. Arthur didn't want something like that to happen with him and he wasn't strong enough to take on both of these ethnic groups.

There was only one way for him.

'I need to pass through it without making any noise.'

Arthur was quite confident in his ability to survive in the wild as he had gone to quite a lot of Pokemon camps throughout his childhood and teenage years.

He was pretty sure that he would be able to walk through it without getting the attention of the birds flying above his head.

Soon after, Arthur started his journey through the bushes, trying not to garner the attention of the dangerous birds, especially Spearows.

After cautiously marching for a kilometer, he finally saw the two flying types. Some Spearows and Pidgeottos were attacking each other.

He didn't see the silhouette of a Pidgeot or a Fearow, meaning that it was just a small fight and the big bosses didn't have to come to solve it.

That was better for Arthur as he was easily able to pass through the territory.

After an hour, he was standing along the river and from here, it was an easy road to Viridian city. He just needed to follow the pathway and in an hour or two, or would be able to enter the city.

Arthur kept glancing at his surroundings as he walked along the river.

He was looking out for wild Pokemon that may suddenly attack him and at the same time, he was thinking of his next set of plans.

'According to the anime, Misty would be fishing somewhere close to here.'

He thought back to the Pokemon anime's first episode and wondered if it would really happen exactly like that. He had his doubts on it from the start.

As he was not in the anime universe, the events that happened in it shouldn't happen, but one of these events had already happened which was Ash being late for the trainer ceremony.

So, it was a great confusion whether other events would happen or not.

'One of these major events was the appearance of the legendary Pokemon Ho-Oh...'

If things really went according to the anime, then Ho-Oh will definitely show himself today. Arthur didn't want to miss the chance of seeing a legendary Pokemon.

That's why he decided on something.

'I needed to wait for Ash to arrive!'
