While my mom was busy with her research for the new species, we were training our fire Pokemon about a curtain route they wanted to take for their evolution. When asked, Ponyta responded that it wanted to fly. Slugma answered that it didn't want to be so slow anymore. Vulpix replied that it wants to be able to pass through objects like Yamask, his fellow pokemon under Eve, who had pranked it numerous times using that trick.

I had an idea of how to go about for each, but it wasn't a sure thing to work. I still gave it a shot. I went to Sybil and asked her if I could borrow her Pumpkaboo and Phantump. She looked sheepish and told me that she had to transfer them to her Mom as they wanted to evolve and she wouldn't have enough space in the restaurant for their evolved forms which are bigger and more mobile.

She already went to see her mom every Monday, so she should still see them every week and they get to be in open air and fields if they want to. They both evolved while she was transferring the Pokemon to Grandma Angie and the Pokemon even helped grandma around.

Gourgeist, who evolved from Pumpkaboo, was now a master wine maker. When it was just a little Pumpkaboo, it was making, and in the process consuming, so much wine that it became 4 times it's original size.

It was using it's ability trick or treat to have itself act as yeast and absorb/consume sugar from the berry juice and secret alcohol in its place (Anaerobic respiration). That excess sugar contributed to its increase in size.

It became so proficient at it that it even created a move called Douse Wine, using the move Belch as it's bases. It is a grass type move that is also a water type, but only grass type Pokemon get STAB.(Like the move Flying Press). The Gourgeist spits out Wine like the Move water gun and has a high chance of confusing (dizzying) and medium chance of poisoning(alcohol poisoning) the target.

Due to this move, Gourgeist doesn't need to sit in a barrel of juice anymore to make it into wine. Now it can just eat a bunch of berries and produce wine using that move. If it wants to create a wine that tastes older than one it normally creates using that move, it just has to concentrate and use more berries to make it. For example, it's normal wine from the move tastes as if it were 5 years old. it can use the amount of berries needed for 2 bottles of wine to produce one bottle of 10 year old tasting wine.

Similarly Trevenant, who evolved from Phantump had become a proficient in culinary art by watching over Sybil as she did her job. Now that it actually has hands, it would often be seen stirring the cauldron for Grandma Angie as she makes sauces for Sybil's restaurant.

Trevenant also helps with its ability Harvest to increase the yield of Grandma Angie's berry orchid along with Roserade. It is perticularly helpful against pest as it can add grass type to them using forest curse, making them weak to Roserade's poison.

Grandma Angie has also been encouraging him to experiment the effects of Forest Curse on different ingredients as well as it's effect on sauces when used in the middle of cooking. They found out that it helped bring out much fresher and intense flavour from ingredients, by filling them with grass energy, vitalizing them.

When the girls and I went to Grandma Angie's place, we found her on her garden area, using one of Trevenant's hands as if it were a Swing hanging from a tree. We all hugged and greeted grandma and the girls even tried the Trevenant swing together, it had two hands afterall. After greetings were over, I explained to grandma that we needed help of Trevenant and Gourgeist for a plan I have in mind and she readily agreed.

I slacked even more at my job as an intern at my mom's while having to make trips between Sabrina's Gym and Crocus village every alternate day. It's not like she will fire me, nepotism for the W. Plus the things I had planned to do in Crocus village are are very relevant to her subject of interest and I plan to record and Analyse every second of it with my Porygon while she is busy defending her claims from her peers.

We started with trying to help Vulpix achive his

goal of becoming intangible at will by having Gourgeist use Trick Or Treat on it to add Ghost typing to it. Although it gained ghost typing, making any of its Ghost type moves more powerful, it still wasn't able to pass through walls.

I then asked my Porygon to use conversion 2 to turn his original type into ghost instead of fire . That showed more success, with it becoming intangible at will. But it was not able to sustain that for long.

I asked it to try and learn Phantom force from both Gourgeist and Trevenant as it is said that the Pokemon vanishes into Shadow Dimension and back when using that move. With its typing turning into ghost and with help of two Pokemon that know the move, I hoped that it would be enough.

Shadow Dimension is where most researchers suspect ghost Pokemon's body go to when they turn intangible. It is the home of Giratina. It is the The Phantom realm.

After Vulpix, I ask Trevenant to use Forest Curse on Ponyta to add Grass Type to it. I asked any Grass Pokemon that could help, to them help it manipulate vines. To help speed up the process, I later asked Porygon to turn Ponyta's orignal/primary type to grass as well, to make him more familiar with the energy.

Once the Ponyta grew proficient enough to grow vines from its body, I asked it to create a structure of vines that look like skeleton wings on its back. When it is able to do that, I ask Porygon to revert his orignal typing, but still keep up the forest curse. The Fire that had subsided due to orignal type change, returns full force. This time the Ponyta also had Skeletal wings made of vines which easily caught on fire from Ponyta's mane.

I had the Trevenant keep up the forest curse to help Ponyta manipulate the vines better and even help maintain it, recovering the vines everytime it burns, at cost of Ponyta's energy. It was able to use Sunny day and morning sun constantly throughout this process and had to be fed rejuvenating herbs during this time to keep him energetic enough for him to keep rejuvenating the vines as they get burnt.

We had a breakthrough when I covered the whole Ponyta in charcoal powder and even covered it's vine wings in that charcoal. When I reverted its type to bring back the flames, I saw that the flames got much bigger due to charcoal and it's wings were burning at an extreme speed, such that the Ponyta couldn't keep up.

When most of its wing had burnt up, a tiny little piece/bud of vine remained ingrained to Ponyta's back. that tiny piece was still covered in charcoal and was still on fire, but it did not burn up. I did some testing and analysing with Porygon .

I was able to determine that ,that little bud of vine on its back where it grows it's wings had become ingrained into the Ponyta . This was because Ponyta was constantly providing wing with its life energy, to rejuvenate it from burning. The bud is where the wing attaches to Ponyta and hence all that life energy had to pass through that bud, to reach other parts of the wing as they were extensions of the bud.

Eventually, the energy signature of that bud changed from vine, into that of Ponyta itself due to high concentration of its energy getting accumulated there, after it passed through it. This allowed the bud to gain the ability of Ponyta, Flash Fire. Immunity to fire and even benifits from it.

Once we figured this out, we started growing wings again on Ponyta. This time we asked it to focus on the bud and produce vines from it. the vines still caught fire and burnt, but the bud remained. we repeated this process until there bud became bigger, meaning more of the vine wing had become synergized with Ponyta's energy.

Ponyta was eventually able keep its wings active all the time after all of the wing was ingrained with its energy and the wing gained the ability Flash Fire. Next step was to actually use the wings to fly, or at least glide. My Ponyta knew the move bounce, so it could jump very very high. I asked it to jump his highest and try gliding using his wings. It's wings looks like it's skeleton is made of vines and it's flesh is made of fire.

For Slugma, I had to completely rethink what I wanted it to be. I personally wanted it to be just a bigger version of its orignal evolution, but with a stronger heat resistant shell, such that we could travel through lava in its back like we travel on Lapras's back. But when it explained that it didn't just want speed but also wanted to keep and improve its Agility, I was stuck for a while.

Eventually, taking inspiration from both Ponyta and Vulpix's progress, we decided to change it into different types using Porygon's conversion 2 and see what suits it's wants best. Surprisingly, the type that suited it's demand of agility and speed was actually water, despite its orignal typing. Upon conversion into water type, the slug made of Magma turns into a slug made of mud.

Despite geting the higher agility and speed that type conversion provided, Slugma has a hard time getting used to the new temperature and even hated the feeling of wetness that came with water typing.

From information on Pokedex, I found out that in its normal lava form, the intensely hot magma circulates throughout this Pokémon's body, carrying essential nutrients and oxygen to its organs. I thought that similar to how Rock Pokemon eat Rock to grow bigger and Steel Pokemon need metal as food, maybe feeding the Slugma molten metal might produce some good results.

I first turned the Slugma into steel type with help of Porygon making it look like liquid metal (Mercury) and then fed it molten metal. it would have had harder time eating the hot molten metal if not for its ability magma armour and flame body, that persist despite its type change.

It takes months before we are actually able to see the change in its colour and it's brightness. It now looks like a slug made of bright glowing molten steel, instead of looking like it was made of lava, with all the impurities (Slag) that it comes with, in his orignal form.

By the time my mom is back, Vulpix had pretty much become able to turn into intangible mass of fire by studying it's moves Will-O-Wisp and Phantom force. Without even needing to change its type due to Will-O-Wisp becoming it's link between intangibility and fire.

Slugma became a mass of molten metal that can take any shape it wants. It was also much faster in this form, seemingly slipping on the ground as if it were skating on it .

Ponyta was not only able to glide using his wings, but also developed abilities Sap Sipper by taking in grass energy thrown at him and sending them to the vines, rejuvenating the constantly burning vines. he was only able to do this after learning the move absorb.

After that success, we even turned tried and turned it's secondary typing into water type with which It also developed water absorb by replicating the ability dry skin on its vines, drying them with its fire and letting them soak water to rejuvenate the vines.

A lot of the water even evaporated into its flame coating, turning the bright blue flames into gray stream surrounding it and it's mane. Steam being quite appropriate for the fire/ water typing it possessed in this form.

Neither Water Absorb nor Sap Sipper made my Ponyta immune to their types of damage like it does for other Pokemon. Instead it can absorb only some of it so it only provides damage reduction.

I kept trying to get it used to having many different secondary types using Porygon's help and succeeded in most of them.

When I turned it's secondary typing to ground, it's vines turned to ashes, yet still stayed in their place, making it look like it had wings made of ash coloured bone . Some of the ashes even left the wing and kept floating in the flames making dark spots in bright flame, making it look like opposite of night sky (bright spots on dark background)

Turning it's secondary type into Rock petrified the vines that made up it's wings. It was still able to move them, similarly to how a rock Pokemon can move it's body.

I was similarly able to turn it's secondary type into each of the other 17 types, other than fire, with varying success. But success none the less. the Ponyta spent so much time with my Porygon, converting to different types that it soon became able to do so at will, after it was able to perform a move from each type from my parents Pokemon.

It could use the move Scald to bring out vapour/steam and turn it's secondary type water. It can use absorb to absorb life energy into his vines, giving him secondary grass typing. It can use the move bone rush, to turn it's vines into something that looks like Ash coloured bones, giving it the ground typing.

It can use the move Dragon dance and Quiver dance to turn it's secondary typing into Dragon or bug which turns it's wings into ones that look like a bats/dragon (leathery) or more like pixie (like butterfly/dragonfly/house fly) from his orignal that look like bird wings with feathers made of fire.

Similarly, it can turn it's secondary typing into any that it wants, as long as it can perform the move for it's type. (like the ability protein of Greninja).
