1 Where am I?

'Where am I?' Daniel thought.

The last thing he remembered was him walking around to hatch several eggs he had brought on Pokemon Go and seeing a mew pop up on his screen. In his excitement, he jumped over a fence ignoring the no trespassing sign and another sign that had a gun picture on it. Whipping out all his berries and his last and only ultra ball Daniel threw a curveball and landed a perfect hit. The ball shook three times and with a click, it was his. Before he could even praise the gods about his luck he heard a bang and everything slowly went dark. The last thing he saw was a sign with a gun on it that said [The property owner has a license to kill and could shoot on sight] Signed by the U.S military.

The sound of something draining brought him out of his thoughts and he realized he was floating in a glass tube of blue liquid. He couldn't move anything other than his eyes. By all rights, he should have been panicking at the moment but for some reason, he only felt like going back to sleep. Before he could obey his instincts something blinked into existence before him.

°Welcome to the Pokemon Dungeon Experiment (P.D.E)

We know that at the moment everyone has just awakened and are curious about your current whereabouts or why you're not panicking. At the moment your souls are still synchronizing with your bodies so its gonna take a few more hours to finish. So we're happy to inform you that you all have died in your previous worlds and were randomly selected to be one of the one thousand beta testers of a dungeon created by Arceus and another god. Its main purpose is to remove all of the limits placed on pokemon and see if some can reach heights like never before.

All of you at least have known about pokemon in your past life and some of you were trainers in your past life. Though past trainers may have a slight advantage, unfortunately, you will have little time to put it to use. Honestly, all of you are being sent to your death and can only rely on luck and wit to get through the dungeon. Luckily for you, the first 2 floors are 'simple' and by simple I mean they have no real intelligence. Like a metapod will legit sit in the middle of the road and just harden till it faints itself or a rattata will just run-up to a Charizard for a tackle.

Though they are easier floors this doesn't mean they will stay as such. As long as there is one human on the next floor they will activate its 'grace period'. Each floor has a three month grace period after which monsters from the next floor will begin being able to wander up floors. It wouldn't be strange for a fifth-floor pokemon to wander up to the first floor after some time. After the 2nd floor, instead of a rattata running up to tackle a Charizard, he will run away and come back with his friends to run up and tackle the Charizard.

Also every three months The levels of monsters on open floors will double. Although the floors will have 'safe zones', they will only be about the size of a large-sized town, per floor. Safe zones obviously help with keeping Pokemon out. The dungeon pokemon see humans as a delicacy and even the more herbivorous pokemon take a fancy to human blood as a type of wine. No matter the size of a floor there is only one safe zone. Each one has the basics of a pokemon center, shop, and a residential area. All surrounded by a barrier that keeps wild pokemon away. Though it can be broken during a pokemon raid.

All in all, there's no real pressure to go down in floors other than the threat of death from the lower levels pokemon and being out leveled by the floor Pokemon. Or the 'limited' supplies at the pokemon shops. Food has to be gathered on your own, you all better hope you get a few farmers, butchers, and cooks in your batch for three months without any of those it might be a tad bit inconvenient. Wonder how many people who play pokemon has solid knowledge on how to butcher a milk tank or turn their hides and pelts into clothing.

Last but not least everyone will only be able to have six pokemon all your life. Yep, you read it SIX. So y'all better be picky as all hell cause after you registered a pokemon to yourself there's no going back even if it died. Revive only works on fainted pokemon for your information. 'Fainted' status only shows for captured pokemon. Wild pokemon will die once hp reaches zero. Captured pokemon will 'faint' and if not recalled into the ball fast enough or if a pokemon uses something like a move similar to pursuit is used then attacks can be fatal.

As the beta testers, you are allowed two privileges. One having knowledge of pokemon beforehand and two being allowed to choose three starter pokemon from the pokemon database. All of them will start out as babies and will have high intimacy with you right off the back. With this you all can plan ahead a bit and have room to spare for capturing pokemon out in the field and no there are no 'Legendaries' at all in this dungeon. Maybe a Legendary level Raticate may appear in the future but your guys' job to find out about.

This concludes all of the absolutely necessary information needed for new players. So either you guys complete the dungeon or you all die.

Saying or thinking status will bring up your character sheet and inventory with only 5 slots. (More slot can be purchased at the local pokemon shop.) The no panicking thing will also disappear once you finish integrating into your bodies so you should make the most of this time trying to reinforce your mind.

This has been a P.D.E announcement. May the odds be ever in your favor.°

Daniel didn't know what to think. Knowing why he wasn't panicking was likely also the reason only his eyes could move. He could feel sleep encroaching again and decided to check whatever the 'status' was.

'Status!'
