11 Mission Conflict

Aaron made it about 30 minutes early to the Guard office where he was greeted by two trainers in Valor uniforms.
Aaron nodded and said "Trainer Aaron checking in for the guard mission this afternoon."
One of the trainers sneered "Trainer you are late. You are lucky I don't write you up to the mission council."
Aaron narrowed his eyes "Mr. Trainer I am about 30 min early to my mission start time."
The other trainer next to the first one sneered "Don't talk back newbie or it will be insubordination."
Aaron grit his teeth but chose not to retort.
"That's how you should be newbie. Now just stay to the side."
Aaron just grit his teeth but was glad he had activated his recording function on his watch. He also checked the others Pokemon in their Pokeballs.

Aaron gritted his teeth almost all their Pokemon where intermediate ranked while he only had one Trapinch who just reached High Junior level.
Approximately 5 minutes before the start time a group of D rank trainers filed into the guard station.
Aaron recognized some of them as they where his previous classmates. They where led by none other than Alex and Zach along with the other trainer that took his Ordeal in the dessert.
One of the older trainers smiled "Group you are early we have an easy mission today. Unlike the last trainer who is late." he chuckled and nodded at Aaron.
The new group couldn't restrain their snickering and both Alex and Zach smiled in glee.
The other leader now stood up and said. "Our mission is to protect this corporate party that is going to be hosted in the park near here. This is very important as they are one of the business that provides us with many missions. There will be many important people there so be on your best behavior. There shouldn't be much problem with wild Pokemon so if there is one make sure that you all take care of it and put on a show for the civilians."
Lastly he turned to Aaron and spat "Now just don't get in Valor's way, you filthily rapist."
Aaron squinted with a impassive look but was mentally fuming as he watched all of the trainer's looks of contempt, disgust and gloating. They all filed out of the building and where led to a part of the park that was near a crystal clear lake and had a wide spread of fancy dinner tables a full bar of food and a large clearing with a band and stage.
Aaron saw the leader greet the supposed employers with enthusiasm and after scanning he concluded that he was certainly under-dressed with his clothes. The valor team had nice uniforms leaving himself as the only person that didn't look the part.
The Valor team spread out in pairs along the perimeter of the event. Most of them congregated close to one another on the main side of the event where all the guest would be participating in the party and the event would take place. Aaron was left to cover around 1/3 of the back park perimeter by himself.
When he walked passed his former class mates he scanned their Pokemon on their waist. The most notable where the three that he had previously made contact with as all the others where standard Pokemon at either early Jr or Mid Jr. strength.

Aaron shook his head and thought "It looks like they all have some pretty good Pokemon. They all Zach and Alex seem to have a fire type which is pretty rare I wonder how they got those. On second thought it has to be the guild's connections. I don't think that they have enough skills to track and find one in the wild. Too bad they can only release 2 out of their Pokeballs at a time. I wanted to see what the others look like in person."
While they where setting up he heard their discussions
Alex " I tell you I am glad that we got the Pokémon from the guild. It really helped with my team build. Even though I didn't get any points when I signed on I got such a powerful Pokemon that I can earn points easily later."
Zach snorted and replied " Duh, do you think that we could of got Pokemon like these if we where in any other Guild? Hell No! Valor chooses strong Pokemon to breed and gives them out so that their guild mates can buy them with points. Valor owns a lot of breeding facilities so they have the businesses that the other guild's don't."
Alex smiled and said "Still Angry about Claire huh? Why don't we go out again tonight to the red light district. That was fun a couple days ago. Or I could ask one of the girls in our class. I am sure they would accept if they know your potential. There was a couple girls from the higher district that I found that are nice also."
Zach smirked lightly "Yeah that was fun. You are just using those girls for their connections anyway."
Alex smiled and didn't say anything.
Aaron was some ways away and could hear almost all the groups conversations despite the distance. He found that this was abnormal as both his vision and hearing where sharper than before. He was smart and correlated it into that energy he felt but he was still confused yet grateful because of it.
After waiting a while the event guests started to trickle in the area. Aaron could hear more and more voices around him. He took some deep breaths and focused on his job.
He patrolled the back of the park that butted up against a line of trees and part of the pond. Aaron payed attention to all of the surroundings. He had a hunch that this mission was not going to be so peaceful.
He looked back periodically at the facility and saw all the other trainers either conversing with each other or watching the guests. He saw the supervisors talking with some of the businessmen while Zach and Alex and his Lackey where conversing with a group of young girls in nice dresses.
Alex just didn't want to see anymore and turned back to his duty. Suddenly out of the corner of his eye he saw a patch of high grass near the lake move. He immediately pulled out his poke ball and released Trapinch.
Trapinch was glad to be out of its Pokeball and looked at Aaron. Aaron nodded and pointed under ground which Trapinch immediately dug under. Aaron slowly walked towards the edge of the trees and lake with where at the very edge of his watch area. He could feel Trapinch digging underneath him ready for a surprise attack.
Suddenly when the next song started and if on cue multiple Pokemon charged out of the grass and trees.
Aaron's eyes narrowed on what he saw. There where two Ariados leading a dozen or so Spinarak towards the event. Aaron knew that they are highly poisonous and needed to be dealt with quickly.
Aaron immedietally went to action and yelled "Trapinch! Stall them with a Large Sand Tomb! Then try to knock the two red ones out of the tree!"
Aaron's shouting caught the attention of the guests and other trainers. The guests started screaming and retreating while the trainers struggled to pull out their Pokeballs to release their Pokemon.
The Spinirak where closing in on the group fast while other trainers hearing the commotion came running.
Trapinch popped its head above the ground and brown energy surrounded him and suddenly the leading Pokemon spiders where wrapped in a swirling whirlwind of sand and rocks.
The Spinerak immediately squealed and halted their momentum. They turned their attention from the food to their new attacker. They all hissed and while some kept going towards their target a couple of them charged at Aaron.
Trapinch's attack bought the other trainers time to release their Pokemon. Immediately the field was filled with Pokemon. Aaron signaled Trapinch to use Mudshot as much as it could. Which it started to fire off Mudshots fast one after another. Some of them hit their target while some of them blocked the path of the Pokemon. Shortly after under the assault of the trainers
The couple fleeing Pokemon ran back to the trees while the two large Araiandos held the trainers off with their poison attacks.
After it was all over everyone settled down. Only two trainers Pokemon's where hurt one was a rookie and the other was one of the C ranks who's Pokemon was poisoned from the Arianados.
I was happy as Trapinch broke though into the Intermediate Rank.
There was not much time until the shift was over and the citizens went back to their thing after they saw that everything was taken care of. Some of the young girls went and flirted with some of the trainers who looked cool during the fight but for the most part everything seemed to calm down.
Suddenly one of the leaders of the shift marched over to Aaron and started yelling " Why didn't you participate in the fight. IF YOU HAD SEEN THE WILD POKEMON SOONER WE WOULDN'T HAVE ANY CASUALTIES and REPAIRS!!! YOU DAMN RA** F***"
Many of the other trainers were trying to hide their smiles.
Aaron just narrowed his eyes and smirked darkly " It's fun picking on the newbie isn't it. Especially when I saved your A***es from being exposed to a surprise attack right?"
"THAT'S IT I AM WRITING THIS UP IN THE REPORT TO THE MISSION OFFICE"
Aaron just shook his head and started to walk away taking a glance at the gloating figures of Alex and Zach "Finally got what you all wanted huh?"
"I would stop right there young man before you do anything you will regret." An elderly voice traveled through the park.
The elderly man that Aaron helped earlier stepped out
Gasps and yells "Director" then many people bowed to the elderly man who wore a complicated expression looking at the trainers.
He slowly made his way over to Aaron and the member of Team Valor. No one dared to talk as they all knew who had the authority here.
When he arrived he turned to the Shift leader and stared at him and the other members of Team Valor. He sighed and spoke "I expected more out of Team Valor. Those who hold fiery spirits and hold pride in their work have always been part of the values within the guild. I don't see any of that in all of you here today." He said making eye contact of all the trainers.
"I watched the whole situation from the beginning and to say I an Elder of Team Valor am disappointed would an major understatement."
Aaron's eyes widened and so did all of the other Rookies while the leaders had a cold sweat.
The elderly man just smiled at the reactions. "I will report this situation to the mission office itself. SO ALL OF YOU ARE DISMISSED." His voice traveled through the area waking some out of their stupor.
Everyone quickly hurried and picked up trying to leave as soon as possible. When Aaron was about to walk off the Elder turned to him and said " Young Man, stay for a bit."
Aaron nodded and kept silent. While the event space cleared out Aaron helped the man to a table where they took a seat across from each other.
The man started " An interesting day wasn't it?"
Aaron nodded
The man smiled and looked at the field that had holes and burnt grass and poison marks that littered the park. He sighed and fished out a Pokeball from his pocket and threw it out.
"Gogoat can you make this field nice again for me"
The large Goat Pokemon nodded and excluded a green energy that spread throughout the area. It quickly regrew the grass and repaired the land until the whole area looked like a green pasture.
The man smiled and petted his large Pokemon while it laid down next to him.
Aaron just stared at the Pokemon

'Damn it is so powerful and it has such good utility. Although it isn't normally a powerful Pokemon it is really a hard hitter.
The elderly man smiled " You like my partner?"
Aaron nodded
"She was my first Pokemon that I caught in my ordeal. I was truly lucky to find her.
"You can let out your Trapinch if you want."
Aaron agreed and let her out.
She happily looked around and then cocked her head at the goat and since she did not feel any bad feeling from it walked up to it and tried to communicate. To which the goat responded in grunts.
Aaron and the man watched the two Pokemon interact together.
Suddenly the man asked "Do you want some food? My restaurant has the best Frokie Legs around among other delicacies. We even have Ducklet or Krabby meat. My restaurant focuses on its exotic meals and meats as you can see."
Aaron's brain blanked out 'Frokie, Ducklet and Krabby' One is a Royal Starter while the others are strong water Pokemon and they use them for food?' His breathing hurried but he quickly composed himself.
"No thank you. My name is Aaron by the way"
The man smiled and picked up a small frog's leg and ate it.
Aaron winced. He still hasn't gotten used to eating Pokemon but he knew it was part of this world.
The man started again "Now tell me about yourself and what was the deal with the other trainers?"
Aaron paused but relented to telling the man. He told him his story of the Ordeal and how his so called friends reacted when he came back. Him not caring for rumors and gossip and what happened once he arrived for the mission today.
The man nodded and sighed when Aaron finished.
"And here I thought that brat Bruce went out and got that Krookodile that he has been bragging about these days. Little did I know he got it from a rookie. He said he wanted to battle me to which I refused. But let me guess he still hasn't got you anything for the Pokemon."
Aaron shook his head no.
"Sigh that brat. Okay look here I will meet with him tomorrow morning. Be there when the gym opens."
Aaron nodded and the old man looked over his shoulder to see Gogoat and Trapinch in the distance. He then called it and both Pokemon came over. Aaron bowed and respectfully said goodbye to the elder. He returned Trapinch and left for the train station.
Looking at the young boy's back the elder smiled and turned to his Pokemon and asked "He is special isn't he? How is his that little Pokemon?"
"Go GOAT"
The man laughed "So it has very good potential did you teach it anything?"
"GOAT GOGOAT"
The man's smile stiffened "It learned both of them?
The Pokemon nodded its head yes.
The man smiled brighter "Ha ha. Another Monster has been born. They will need him in Valor but too bad he doesn't seem to like guilds."
"Goat Goat"
Huh?"
"Goat"
"He what now? He woke up his hidden power? Human's have hidden Power?"
"Gogoat Go Go"
indicating that it didn't know but he felt it in the trainer although very small.
