500 LOG 59: Climbing up through Dreams!

We surpassed the "Savannah" before reaching the hint given by Bianca as to where Team Plasma is located. The Celestial Tower is said to be a tall tower with a large bell whose tones are said to purify the spirit. Like all other similarities, I'd say it is the counterpart to Kanto's Pokemon Tower, Hoenn's Mount Pyre, and Sinnoh's Lost Tower. By now, it's safe to assume all regions have this kind of "thing" rather than burying Pokemon in the land like what we do to our fellow humans, excluding Mount Pyre, considering a volcano is a landform. It reminds me of the pictures I saw in the media, somewhat having the appearances of the Leaning tower of Pisa.

"Considering Team Plasma is here, they're definitely up to no good. This place is a burial site for Pokemon, so what else would they do here?" said Logan.

"That's the point. No one would think cemeteries are great hiding spots for organizations," I said.

"How do you know all of these? Team Rocket's got one like Team Plasma doesn't it?" suspected Dawn.

"Not that I'm aware of any. I guess. Who knows?"

"But aren't you an agent of Team Rocket? Shouldn't you be um… knowing these?"

"Hey, doesn't mean I'm an agent doesn't mean I'm not lazy to read our modules and handbooks. I learn on the spot."

Virgo's Ursaring bursted the doors open. There was a sign, burial site is closed, it says. That's all Team Plasma's got to hide their cover up? If you were to ask me, that's some low effort hiding element there. The doors were locked, so bursting it was the only option.

The entirety of the interior revealed to us as a quiet surrounding with tombstones everywhere. Come to think of it, it'd be disrespectful to fight in an arcadian atmosphere like this to avoid disrupting the spirits or maybe not… because Team Plasma already disturbed them before us. In my early childhood, I thought Pokemon only fainted, but it turns out they die as well. That reminds me, I never gave my Lily a proper burial haven't I?

"Alright!" shouted Dawn.

"Shh!" pulled Virgo. "You don't need to shout."

"You really think spirits are going to emerge out of this…" she increased her tone. "Place?" Her voice echoed and she and I honestly thought of it as fun. I did the same, completely forgetting what I just said to myself a few minutes ago about being silent.

For the first ten seconds, nothing happened. It was just plain sounds bouncing back and forth up this spiral tower.

A minute passed and these strange creatures floated above our heads. We scanned the Pokemon and realized they were Chandelures, the crazy Pokemon parents use to scare their children of what would happen if they don't sleep. Ah, good old days.

Chandelure is a Pokémon that resembles a sentient chandelier. It has a striped, round head, and round, pupil-less yellow eyes. There is a ring of small, black spikes on top of its head with a tall, purple flame in the middle. From a black spike below its head, black arms curl upward. These arms are tipped with purple fire. Chandelure's fires do not burn its victims physically, instead burning their spirit. After hypnotizing its opponent by waving these flames, it absorbs the victim's spirit.

"Virgo is right…" whispered Dawn.

Their flames flickered and escaped their heads and arms, surrounding us with them. The four of us were entering a dizzy sensation. Our eyes tried to fight but couldn't resist the urge and so we ended up dropping and falling asleep.

I fell to a deep slumber. At the start of the nightmare, I was invited to a dark house beyond the walls folks would normally assume were the boundaries of the dwelling. I didn't know why I entered, I only had this gut feeling, or a force or aura that attracted me. It was dark, I was blind. On the center of the house was a crib. I approached the crib, taking slow steps forward. What was seen from the crib was a Petelil, but she seemed weird. She had red eyes, and instead of green, her skin was gray, withered leaves.

I took the Petilil out of her crib and that's when she dispersed to dust. I awakened, seeing my arms strapped in a pillar. It was foggy, cold, blanching my already pale face. Beside me were Virgo, Dawn, and Logan who also just awakened. In front of us was a bell with a strange man with green hair staring at me.

Logan and Dawn jerked after seeing the man. They were somehow familiar with him.

"Ghetsis!" shouted Dawn.

He cackled. Six more men appeared and surrounded.

"You know him?" asked Virgo.

"Er… Um." Dawn flinched.

Ghetsis cackled again. "So, you've traced me down only for the Meteonite?"

"That was ours! You, burglar!"

"What do you call yourselves, Team Rocket?" said Zinzolin, one of the seven wise men or the sages.

"I thought, this Meteonite would give me what I've wanted. Conquest, however, I thought wrong. I no longer have use for it. I see that the power of Pokemon is only the hurdle to my ideal, my ideal Unova. A change in weather would not contribute to anything."

He rotated towards us, dropping a silver box. He unchained the box and exerted a key, unlocking it and revealing the Meteonite.

Dawn struggled. "I'm not done with you! You've got some explaining to do!"

"Your looks are utterly familiar, but I do not know you."

"Oh you will when you return with me to Sinnoh, you arse-crunching dumpster fire!" said Dawn, trying to kick her legs forward.

Ghetsis didn't mind her. Instead, a helicopter from above descended. It was a large one, similar to the ones I've seen in the Desert Resort. The sages ascended and left us tied up in the pillars but left the Meteonite for free I guess.

I sent out Absol to cut of the chains and release us all. Knowing for a fact Team Plasma was here for more than three days, this could serve as an explanation why Ghetsis said he no longer needed it. Calculating the wind pressure, speed, the height and altitude, this place serves as a great spot for tests and examination. They must've failed or got unexpected and unwanted results, but no matter, the important thing is, me and Virgo leaves happily.

"Ah! I thought I could get him this time," said Dawn.

"Why are you after him in the first place?" asked Logan.

"He did something terrible years ago, and it was only now when I realized it."

"Oh, what terrible stuff?" I asked.

"Sorry, but maybe now is not the time to explain all that." Dawn smiled. "But hey? At least you got what you needed, the Meteonite."

"Right! Thanks a lot for your help!" Virgo said.

"It's nothin'. I was expecting more from Team Plasma, but I guess that's it."

Notifications on my Rotom-Phone went straight in, thousands of them.

"Huh? Well, Charlotte's gonna beat me later. That's for sure."

I called her. She picked up the phone immediately. "Where are you?! And how come you have a ticking bomb with you?"

I knew from those words she was referring to the black stone. "Oh, that? That's not a bomb."

"Of course it's not! It's worse than one."

"Yeah, I'll get back to headquarters right away, so see you later, bye!"

"Luna wa--"

I declined.

"Right, so this is where we part ways! Me and Virgo will be returning to headquarters."

"And I'll still be on a look out for Ghetsis."

"On the meantime, while I'm at it, I should probably train for my gym challenge against the gym leader of Mistralton City."

"Good luck then! I heard Skyla's strong." I said.

Logan chuckled. "Anyway, till we meet again, Luna."

Virgo pushed my shoulder with her elbow.

"Will you stop!"

Heading back home, I was scrolling through my phone only to figure 90% of those misscalls were from Madam Boss. I'm up for a good time back there.
