She strapped to some sort of bed as more ambulance came to help out the other injured officers. Emma was lucky Nurse Joy knew what the signal meant as she was the very same person who aided Emma and her wound.
It was painful, but she went it. Due to the lack of pieces of equipment, Emma had no choice but to go by the operation without anesthesia. Nurse Joy advised her to shriek as loud as she can to let all the pain away and to pinch her ears as hard as she can while Nurse Joy sewed her deep wound.
"It must be terrible, is the detective alright?" Nurse Joy asked Emma who was struggling as she sewed the wound.
"He turned to stone. I don't know how but it must be coming from there." Emma replied while pointing at the top of the mountain. She shrieked again because of the pain succumbing to her.
"Stay brave, everything will be finished soon enough. You are an intelligent woman and without that sequence, we would've never found you. We'll leave the detective in his car for now." Nurse Joy soothed her pain, rubbing her face for a moment or two. She then continued with the operation.
The side of the mountain was some sort of outdoor clinic. She took a peek and saw dozens of officers being aided by different doctors and nurses. There were some officers whose wounds were mild, there were those who had severe injuries like Emma and there were those with critical in which most were unable to survive for too long.
"Almost done, keep your body relaxed and calm." Nurse Joy instructed as she tried to soothe the struggling Emma.
"I- I have to go up the mountain to stop them."
"No, you have to remain here and rest."
"I can handle the pain, Nurse Joy. The detective gave me strict order. Leave me with some officers and we'll go up the mountain to investigate things."
"Emma, you're newly operated. The stitches will be removed if you struggle too much. We don't have anesthesia with us and your stomach hasn't been-"
"It's okay, Nurse Joy. I'll take precautionary measures," she smirked confidently.
"Alright, I can't stop you. If something goes wrong, then you have the chance of losing your life. Are you willing to sacrifice that?"
"For the sake of Sinnoh? I am." she nodded.
Just to make sure she would be safe, Nurse Joy strapped a ton of bandage around her sewed wound once the operation was finally finished. The bandages won't be able to keep the wound moist and will be scornfully painfully once it is removed but protection is a must for Emma. She sent out her Mimi to check if it was doing alright.
Mimi hugged her leg and rubbed its head on Emma's leg after seeing its trainer doing fine.
"I'm fine, Mimi. Glad to see you're doing alright. Phew, your Pokeball almost broke. If Mr. Looker hears I broke the Pokeball he gave me, he'll definitely be mad. This is your only home after all." while seated on the portable bed, swaying her legs around, Emma patted Mimi's head.
After a minute of resting, she asked for volunteers to come and continue her journey to the mountain with her. Thirty out of a hundred were willing to and with their might, they pushed down the boulder blocking their path. Emma just stood there while the officers pushed the boulder for her since she wasn't allowed to feel any tension, stress, or any other thing similar to this especially when her operation has just recently finished.
"Alright! The detective may not be here but we can surely do this!" In front of her very own squadron, Emma encouraged them.
"Yes mam!" the officers saluted her as they continued their way up the mountain. They are to face a slope, one that would make Emma tired but she is willing to risk it all for the sake of Sinnoh. Nurse Joy and the other doctors bade them good luck as their journey to the top of Mount Coronet continues.
Meanwhile, Zinnia came by and I was glad to know she hasn't turn into something like them. I hugged her tightly upon seeing Zinnia.
"That was a close call." Zinnia told me as we separated for a brief second to catch some air.
"I know. You're a latecomer so this is our plan. See that portal over there, we plan to enter it to stop everything." I explained our plan to her.
Then the land began to tremble as the silhouette completely emerged out of its dimension. It gave a loud shriek that we had to cover our ears. Because the land trembled, things went far worse as the three cages of the three lake guardians were destroyed. Because of this, their eyes turned back to normal as they snapped back to reality.
Shocked by the chaos happening around them, the three lake guardians entered the portal. This made Cynthia and the rest more agitated. The shadowy beast attacked Dialga, Palkia, and Arceus. Angered, they chased the beast and entered the portal with it. At the end of the tail of the shadowy beast, it used it as a grappling hook and grabbed Cyrus, bringing it to its home with Dialga and Palkia.
"Go! This is our chance!" Cynthia gave the signal as all of us rushed to the portal while no one was looking. We intentionally jumped down the portal and entered it. We were riding our respective flying Pokemon to depths of the portal in which the deities continued their fight there.
"Amazing." It was the only word I could think of for it was truly amazing indeed. Islands floated and swiveled around, never-ending waterfalls flowing off the islands and the warped glass walls of the world we were in, the distortion world.
"So, this is how it feels for a dream to literally come into a reality." I chuckled while gazing upon the islands.
"Don't mind, Dialga, Palkia, Arceus, and the other, for now, stick with the mission and find the lake guardians before they wander too far," Cynthia instructed.
"Right." all of us replied as we each took our own routes, splitting for a moment to complete this task.
