38 EPISODE 38: Gloom*

[Absol! The Disaster Pokemon. A dark type. Absol has the ability to foretell the coming of natural disasters. It lives in a harsh, rugged mountain environment. This Pokémon very rarely ventures down from the mountains.] The Kanto Dex informed as it shows valuable and essential data about the Pokemon. After a long walk from Viridian Forest to Viridian City, we have finally arrived back at the Giovanni Industries, aka Team Rocket headquarters.

Absol is a quadruped, mammalian Pokémon with a dark blue to black body covered in white fur. It has a ruff around its neck and chest and a tuft on the top of its head adorned with a single blue-black oval. It has a feline face with almond-shaped, red eyes, a scythe-like tail, and a crescent-shaped horn on the side of its head. Its broad feet are equipped with three claws each, and dewclaw-like spikes protrude from the heels of its hind legs and the elbows of its front legs. It walks with a pacing gait like that of a camel.

"Very good. Your progress on your first mission has astounded me." Sitting on his chair, Giovanni appraises the three of us while massaging the pale fur of his feline companion. The three of us are pleased by Giovanni's words, but I myself wanted to ask a question before the boss.

"From now on, the three of you will be working together. This means you'll be taking on other missions, and some may be major ones such as our plan to investigate the abandoned mansion in Cinnabar Island." Matori adds as she places a cup of coffee on top of the boss's marble table.

"Cinnabar Island, so that's the island which was stated upon the Bio belonging to professor Violet," Xavier concludes.

"Professor Violet? I see, do you have further information about her? You see, there have been recent reports that the PGC is also looking for Mewtwo." Matori question with an enthusiastic look, even Giovanni himself looks very interested.

"Yes, I was able to hack through their archives through the use of the handbook's instructions. I've placed everything inside this hardware."

"Very good Charlotte. I want the three of you to take a break, for now, I will call you once I've assigned another mission. Our mission to find Mewtwo is heading to its pinnacle." Giovanni proclaims with determination. He clenches his right fist, and his excitement beamed up his physique.

The three of us were dismissed, and I couldn't wait but to take a nibble on what the cafeteria has to offer. Charlotte and Xavier were giving me awkward and suspicious looks, but I didn't mind it... for now at least.

As I touch the door of the boss's abode, I look back unto Absol who is sleeping on Giovanni's mattress.

"Excuse Giovanni... um, I am wondering if-"

"If you can take care of Absol?" Giovanni interrupts and guesses with an inclining tone.

"Well, it's fine if you disagree with me."

"Hmph. No need to look solemn, you can adopt Absol as your Pokemon, besides, you have exceeded my expectations towards you. I believe that with Absol, you can become a profound agent of Team Rocket." Giovanni's words make my exuberant spirit burst forth.

"Sir, are you sure about your decision? The customer wants her by tomorrow remember?" Matori whispers upon Giovanni's ear.

"Of course. Besides, we have agents in the Hoenn region who could catch us another Absol." Giovanni responds back with a whisper. His eyes gaze upon the affection shrouding me and Absol, he feels pleased and delighted.

"Here is Absol's Pokeball. If I am not mistaken, your Absol knows four moves.

-Shadow Claw

-Sword Dance

-Bite

-Quick Attack"

"Thank you, Giovanni, I really appreciate it." I flicker with nothing but bliss and delight. My body leaps around with Absol's Pokeball in my grasp. I couldn't feel any much better.

Outside the door, Charlotte and I met each other. Xavier on the other hand, left the both of us for according his excuse, he needed to do some urgent business with his Pokemons.

The rich aroma of the dish wafted down and beckoned me. I could not resist the delightful sensations that whipped up inside my memory at the mere thought of delving my teeth deep and fast into the pulpy texture of the pizza. Cheese spread atop in copious amounts and the wide assortment of condiments sprinkled in the perfect amounts mingle to produce a taste unlike any other: salty, peppery, cheesy with a whiff of Italian cuisine and a tinge of Greek taste.

"Are you alright?" Charlotte questions with a worried tone as she watches me and my Pokemons eat. Today is Absol's first dinner with me, she looked delighted and pleased.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Oh, I don't know, maybe because of the fact you almost killed two wardens and now you're back to your timid self," Charlotte complains sarcastically.

"I have no intention of killing anyone. I just wanted to teach them a lesson, that's all."

"You sure? Well I'm not buying it., You just asked Petilil to hurt those two. You have to be careful Luna." Charlotte warns.

"Be... Be careful? What do you mean by that?"

"Just... don't do anything intense and harsh. You may not be aware of your actions at times, and you may treat your "actions" as a normal occurrence. Actually, to tell you the truth, you're the first person I've ever met to hurt somebody with a Pokemon's will." Charlotte continues to suspect me while taking a bite from her pizza.

My mind wonders about Charlotte's suspiciousness towards me. I feel like myself, a timid girl who loves to draw and take pictures.

Two shabby officers enter the Saffron Orphanage. During these times is when the rain hits the city harshly. It is a gloomy night indeed for the citizens, and things are about to become more gloomy.

The officers walks upon the counter in which they asked for an appointment with my mother. One of the officers demanded to commence the appointment in a private area.

Mother responds in a blitz after hearing about the pleading of the two officers. She's most likely to be in her office, fixing some paperwork and datas.

"Excuse me, are you Athena? The headmaster of this orphanage?" One of the officers questions her inside a private room.

"Yes, that would be me. Is there anything wrong officers?"

"We have found your daughter." The other officer responded. For a moment, mother's heart succumbs to ecstasy. She couldn't resist the urge to leap with pleasure and relief.

"Although, she is currently in our watchlist. Earlier, around six in the evening, two wardens were wounded by her. There also have been reports about your daughter trying to us inject one of Kanto's famous professor with toxins.

Based on CCTV footage which we have finally gained access to after being hacked, it shows that your daughter is a member of the criminal organization, Team Rocket." The guards report with a heavy heart. Mother's bliss turned into a whirlpool of neverending sorrow. Her body felt weak and stressed, and her emotions didn't know what to emit. Anger or grief?

"There must be a mistake..." My mother utters with a brittle voice. One of the officers hands a screenshot of the CCTV footage which shows the moment when I was assaulting Professor Violet. Mother has no choice but to accept the truth which would soon be a burden to her back.

"Your daughter has broke the region's amendment, and thus she needs to be imprisoned."

"Please don't hurt her. If you do find her, let me talk to her." Athena pleads.

The rain persisted its strength and continued to weep over the city. My mother's eyes did the same as a trickle of tears dashes down solemnly. Her hands tremble, wishing that I am here, her face turns pale due to the news she has heard.
