184 Indigo League-3

Crack!

A table cracked as Aoki slammed Asmodeus's arm in an arm wrestling contest.

"It's my fifth consecutive win," Aoki smirked.

"Although I don't like losing, I have to accept that your ability to use aura surpasses mine," Asmodeus said, laughing.

"Chongyun taught me well... if you know what I mean," Aoki said.

He could not say the real reason why his abilities had increased so much.

"I know, that man doesn't know anything except throwing punches."

Since both of them were students of Chongyun and could use aura, Aoki wished to know more about Asmodeus.

Asmodeus was born in Johto but moved to Kanto with Chongyun until he was twenty, after which he traveled the world for five years.

He said that he didn't wish to settle anywhere permanently until he had explored the whole world.

Ever since he was a kid, Asmodeus dreamed of defeating Ho-Oh.

To fulfill this dream, he traveled all over Johto and managed to fight Ho-Oh once but lost.

After that defeat, he caught the three Legendary Dogs of Johto in the hope of making his team stronger and defeating Ho-Oh.

While he was returning to Johto, he met a man named Phanes whom he promised to take when challenging Ho-Oh next time.

Aoki immediately caught on that Giratina was after him since he could use aura, so he asked Darkrai to keep a mark on him.

"Say Asmodeus, if I defeat you, will you take me to battle Ho-Oh?"

"Sure! But remember, if I defeat Ho-Oh first, I get to catch it," Asmodeus said.

"That's fine."

Aoki wanted to talk more, but it was time for his match.

"Don't hold back, champ! I will be cheering for you!" Asmodeus said, slapping Aoki on the back.

************

"Since I sold even my soul to a monster for power, I can't lose here," Nate said to himself as he looked at the mirror and wiped the blood off his nose.

The mirror shattered as he used too much chaos.

"Calm down! Don't lose control! You asshole of a father, forget about Team Galactic, I will destroy Team Dusk, the one you lick the foot off. I will be the one who controls the underworld."

[Your next opponent is Aoki Gunhildr... the last user of dark aura... your enemy... I thought I had killed him in the past, but somehow he is alive and well. You must kill him and his Pokemon during the match.] A voice started speaking in Nate's mind.

"I am not your servant, Marshadow, that you can command me around. I sold my soul to Giratina for power, not you. Don't command me around."

[Keke~ how arrogant~ I will see how it turns out...]

"Aoki Gunhildr, you were the first trainer I lost to, but I have changed now. I will be the one who breaks your record of being unbeatable."

***********

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the first match of the semifinals of the Indigo League. With a huge round of applause, welcome Aoki Gunhildr, Kanto's pride, and one of the dark horses of this event, Nate from Sinnoh!!"

Both trainers slowly walked into the stadium as the audience welcomed them with explosive cheers.

The people supported Aoki substantially more than Nate, which infuriated him.

"Just wait, they will soon be cheering for me when I destroy the so-called Kanto's pride," Nate said to himself, taking out his

Pokeball.

Nate could tell at a glance that Aoki was different from all the humans he had seen so far.

Aoki was overflowing with a certain kind of energy that opposed his chaos energy.

"Hey, Darkrai, can you sense any Pokemon around Nate?" Aoki asked.

[I sense the mark of Marshadow on him, but Marshadow is not physically present here.]

"Well, well, we meet again, pretty boy. The last time I lost because my Pokemon were weak, but this time it's different. Heard that you picked up the trash I threw out? You'll soon pick up more scraps after I'm done with you," Nate said out loud.

"Trash, huh? It's good that you didn't change a bit since the last time I saw you. Let me show you what that trash is capable of in current hands," Aoki replied, smiling.

"Both trainers ready?! BEGIN!"

As soon as the announcement was made, both of them released their Pokemon.

With black lightning crackling in its fists, an elite rank Electivire appeared on the field.

On the other side, Charizard, whose tail burned in purple flames, appeared on the field with a bloodthirsty smile on his face upon seeing Nate.

Charizard couldn't describe how happy he was to see Nate, as he would finally be able to show him how wrong he was.

Pokemon with powers of aura and chaos dashed toward each other.

Fists of purple flames and black lightning collided, creating a shockwave.

Electivire immediately felt the difference as his bones cracked, even after being under the influence of the energy of chaos.

"Electivire, use Lightning Terrain and Thunderclap," Nate commanded, and instantly the ground exploded with black lightning, attacking Charizard from all directions.

"Charizard, Overheat!"

All the lightning on the field disappeared at once and was replaced by purple flames.

"Electivire, show him your lightning, use Thunder."

"Blast Burn, destroy the lightning, and end the match with Dragon Rush," Aoki commanded.

Boom!

A loud explosion occurred as Charizard completely erased Electivire's lightning, and before Electivire could understand what had happened, he found himself on the floor outside the stadium, with no strength to move anymore.

"That's one down, five more to go. See? This is the power of the same Pokemon that you abandoned," Aoki said with a mocking smile.

[Keke~ you are a pathetic kid], a voice spoke into Nate's mind.

'Fuck off, Marshadow! Don't speak to me!'

Nate called back Electivire and sent out his next Pokemon.

With a loud roar, a ten-meter large Gyarados appeared on the field.

"Let's see how you deal with this. Gyarados, use Hydro Pump at full power!"

"Charizard, use Draconic Flames and Solar Beam."

Gyarados's Hydro Pump was completely vaporized, and the Draconic Flames hit him in the face, stunning him. Immediately, grass-type energy condensed in Charizard's mouth as Solar Beam hit Gyarados, ending the round.

"Two down, four more to go," Aoki's voice reached Nate's ears, making him furious.

'Fucking useless.'

Calling back Gyarados, Nate sent out Sceptile, who showed some characteristics of dragon Pokemon, like scales on his body.

Seems like the energy of chaos awakened the dormant dragon bloodline within Sceptile, which couldn't be utilized properly without primal evolution.

Even with dragon-type powers and a huge boost from chaos, it wasn't enough to put a scratch on Charizard.

Sceptile couldn't last even a minute against Charizard's flames and lost the capability

to fight.

Nate's fourth Pokemon was Flygon, who got hit with Fire Blast and Dragon Rush, ending his capability too.

As one by one, Nate's Pokemon started going down, his frustration increased, resulting in an increase in his chaos energy output.

By the time Hydreigon fell, Nate had already used more power than he could use to defeat Aoki.

Charizard mocked Nate every single time he defeated one of his Pokemon.

Although it was true that Nate never expected that weak Charmander, which couldn't even fire properly, to reach this power level, Nate was even more furious with Charizard.

How dare he mock him like that? It was Charmander's own fault for being weak.

The weak are always abandoned and treated like trash.

Nate's biggest enemy was not Aoki but Charizard, who reminded him that even with all the work he had done and sacrifices he had made, he was still the pathetic loser that he despises.

Nate's last Pokemon was his starter, Infernape, who could utilize the full power of chaos with his white flames.

As soon as the match started, Charizard suppressed Infernape.

Boom!

Charizard punched Infernape into the ground, creating a crater and screamed.

"This is payback for what you did to me! Now tell me who is weak! Tell me who is pathetic!" Charizard roared as his power output increased.

Infernape's white flames were completely suppressed under Charizard's purple flames as Nate watched in horror as his starter and strongest Pokemon got absolutely destroyed by Charizard.

Every time Infernape tried to get up, he was punched to the ground again.

"That's enough, Charizard. Don't lose yourself," Aoki said, making Charizard stop and move back.

Infernape stood up once again, but all of a sudden, the supply of chaos was cut off, and all his strength was gone at once, making him fall unable to move anymore.

Nate didn't say anything and watched his last Pokemon lose to Charizard.

One single Pokemon wiped out his entire team.

Charizard gave one last smile, admiring his work, before returning to Aoki.

'What the fuck did you do, MARSHADOW!!! Infernape could still fight,' Nate cursed at the voice in his head.

[That's enough for today, human. I stopped the supply of chaos to your body. A bit more, and your body would have exploded. Not that I care, but the lord has ordered me to keep you alive. Accept that you lost and are a pathetic fool and leave. You have missions to fulfill.]

"That was a relaxing match. I bet MY Charizard enjoyed his time. Well then, Nate, enjoy your stay in Kanto. I hope that you don't mess around too much like the time in Vermillion City," Aoki said, walking away with a smile.

Through Nate's eyes, Marshadow watched as people cheered for Aoki, as he would now be fighting in the finals.

Marshadow could feel Nate's emotions.

'This amount of negativity and hate for a human... no wonder he can use energy of chaos with minimal backlash. Although I don't like him, I have to appreciate his ability to master chaos within a few weeks. But... he is still far from touching Aoki... But it doesn't matter. Once the gate to the distortion world opens, no amount of dark aura can save the world.'
