183 Indigo League-2

Indigo Plateau:

The next day, the stadium was full as usual.

Followed by the announcement, Aoki and Jill walked into the stadium.

Alex took a day off to watch Jill's match knowing very well how the match was going to end.

Jill knew her journey in the Pokemon League ended here, so she was not nervous.

Since it was a quarterfinal match, it was going to be 6v6.

The battlefield they were supposed to fight was a rock-type field.

"Hey, Jill!

Let's revive some memories of the Junior Cup finals"

With the announcement, Aoki and Jill released their first Pokemon at the same time.

Aoki started with Alakazam while Jill started with Vileplume immediately sending her to a disadvantage.

Since switching Pokemon was allowed, Jill called back Vileplume and sent out her Espeon.

Espeon immediately started with Double team creating multiple copies of itself and attacked Alakazam with Shadow Ball.

Alakazam's eyes glowed as all of the Shadow Balls of Espeon were destroyed by Psychic.

Espeon continued using Double team creating multiple copies and attacked Alakazam with multiple attacking moves like Swift, Powergem, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Shockwave, and Shadowball but Alakazam stood in one place and destroyed all attacks before they reached him.

Espeon used short-term teleportation as she sensed something but Alakazam tracked down Espeon's teleport path and used his Shadow Ball hitting Espeon.

Not giving any chance to react, two more Shadowball hit Espeon ending the round with Alakazam standing in the same place throughout the match.

Jill called back her fainted Espeon and released her Raichu.

Aoki decided to call back Alakazam and sent out Flygon who immediately took to the sky.

'Come on!

I know you are strong but show some mercy !' Jill clenched her fist.

Calling back Raichu, Jill sent out Vileplume who started releasing all sorts of powders into the air but Flygon waved his wings starting a sandstorm rending all that useless.

Jill tried calling back Vileplume but it didn't work within the Sandstrom.

Executing Dragon Dance mid-air, Flygon dived down into the Sandstrom as flames surrounded his body.

The next second, Vileplume was thrown out of the battlefield with burn marks as the Sandstrom slowly died down.

Jill's next Pokemon was Scizor who immediately used Double Team and Swords Dance.

Flygon didn't stay still and executed another round of Dragon Dance.

Flygon narrowed his eyes and waved his wings coating them in steel-type energy as Scizor's swords dance boost X-Scissors got blocked by his wings.

Coating his arms in Dragon-type energy Flygon clashed with Scizor's fast combo of close combat.

Flygon and Scirzor clashed all over the field as Scizor kept accumulating injuries while Flygon was almost unharmed.

Just like always Flygon was having fun playing with Scizor happily while Scizor became exhausted after each clash.

Seeing that Scizor could not play with his anyone, Flygon suddenly increased his strength as two rounds of Fire Blast sent Scizor crashing to the other side of the field unable to wake up again.

With the end of this round, Jill lost three of her Pokemon which called for a short break of 5 minutes to give both trainers some time to rest.

For the second half of the battle, the field type changed from a rock-type to a grass-type field.

Jill started with her Raichu while Aoki sent out Dragonair.

Dragonair stabbed his tail into the ground and with the combination of Protect, tanked all-electric type attacks of Raichu while continuously spamming Dragonbreath and Dragon Pulse to take down Raichu.

Aoki called back Dragonair and sent out Pupitar while Jill sent out her recently evolved Magmortar.

This fight didn't last long too as Pupitar kept spamming Earthquake and Stone Edge while tanking all the flame attacks of Magmortar.

For the last round, Jill sent out her ace, Blastoise while Aoki called back Pupitar and sent out Gengar.

Gengar immediately used hypnosis that he perfected from Darkrai and put Blastoise to sleep.

Lightning Spakled around Gengar as Thunderstruck Blastoise followed by a thunder punch putting him down.

With the loss of Blastoise, Jill lost the match while Aoki moved to the semi-finals.

"Well....thanks for humbling me again Aoki.

Be sure to humble your next opponents too" Jill said leaving the stadium with a smile of victory.

As she walked down the hallway to exit the stadium, a pink-haired woman stopped her path.

"You surpassed my expectations Jill…..you can have my son Alex.

I accept you as a member of the Joy family " the woman said.

"Thank you so much~

Mother~in~law~" Jill said as she walked away laughing.

"Yeah-Yeah got it.

Call me that after you marry my son, I am still Mrs. Joy for you " the woman said as she followed Jill with a light smile.

The next match was between Nate and Ash Ketchum.

Nate started with his elite rank Staraptor while Ash started with his Pidgeot.

Pidgeot held for a while but ultimately lost making Ash send Pikachu who managed to take down Staraptor.

Nate smiled and sent out his Frosslass which reeked of energy of chaos.

Ash's Pikachu didn't last long against Forsslass and went down so Ash sent out his Charizard.

Frosslass put up fairly well against Charizard with the power of chaos but slowly started to lose control so her attacks were unstable which Charizard took advantage of and defeated Frosslass.

In the last two battles, it felt like Nate didn't break a sweat and stood with his hands in his pockets while Ash was sweating continuously giving out commands.

"Don't be so happy weakling...

The two Pokemon you took down were caught a week ago, you haven't fought my real team yet" Nate said taking out an Ultraball.

Nate's next Pokemon was a peak elite stage Hydrigon whose attack power was in champion rank.

His control over the energy of chaos was several steps higher than Froslass's.

Hydrigon's appearance immediately set up a storm in the crowd as it was not only a pseudo-legendary but also from the region far away.

As expected Charizard couldn't last much longer and went down.

Ash sent out his Blastoise next hoping to deal damage with Ice-type attacks but Hydrigon was too much to handle.

Next came Fearow and finally Gengar who similarly went down to Hydrigon.

Ash Ketchup was out of Pokemon and lost the match.

With this Nate won this match and progressed to the semi-finals.

"Hope to never see you again weakling !" Nate walked away with a huge grin as the audience cheered.

Nate truly enjoyed every bit of popularity he got with each match.

The next match was between Misty Williams and Gary Oak which was an interesting match.

One side was Professor Oak's grandson while the other side was the daughter of a gym leader and one of the three trainers of Kanto who represented Kanto in the Youth Cup.

Unlike the beatdown that Aoki and Nate gave to their opponent, this match felt like an actual Pokemon match.

Misty started with Golduck who went against Gary's Pidgeot and managed to win before losing to his Arcanine.

Misty sent out her Slowking who reached elite rank recently as Gary switched to Executor calling back Arcanine.

The executor put up a good fight but went down so Gary sent out his Alakazam.

Misty called back Slowking and sent out Starmie who put up an equal fight with Alakazam making both of them go down.

Misty sent back Slowking while Gary sent back his Arcanine who lost but Gary's Magmortar managed to take down Slowking.

Misty finally sent out her strongest Pokemon, elite rank Gyarados who took down Magmotar making Gary send out his last Pokemon, his ace Blastoise.

The clash between two water Pokemon was interesting but ultimately Misty came out on top defeating Blastoise.

Misty won this round and proceed to the semi-finals.

**********

The last match was between Asmodeus from Johto and Zeno.

This match was unlike anything people had seen in the Pokemon League.

Asmodeus pulled out the three legendary dogs of Johto- Raikou, Entei, and Suicune completely destroying his opponent.

This took the viewers and league members by surprise.

All of a sudden all eyes were on Asmodues.

The viewership of the league increased significantly all over the world as participants of the league this year was something else.

A world-famous professor and winner of the Youth Cup, a trainer from Sinnoh with a unique Infernape, and a trainer from Johto with three legendary Pokemon.

Misty's popularity in the event was less than the three but she didn't mind it.

As all the matches for the day ended, the matchups of the semi-finals were announced.

Asmodeus vs Misty Williams

Aoki Gunhildr vs Nate
